Booked an upgraded room with access to an extra pool and free juice and water. There's no free water outside of the restaurant and the juice is squash from a machine outside the apartment block, which ran out and despite reporting it several times wasn't refilled. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and we only had a filter coffee machine to make tea. Room was large and a nice walk in shower. However there's no drawers, just a small wardrobe so had to leave most of our clothes in the suitcase because there was no where to put them. Cleaning was a bit sporadic though the bins were emptied daily. Anyone has access to the pool even though it's supposed to be exclusively for the upgraded block which is set apart from the main hotel across a patch of rough ground. Unfortunately there's a road going past and I was woken every night at 1.30am by the rubbish collection lorry. Went all inclusive and the food was hit and miss, there's no show cooking, seating is outside or in a building adjacent to the restaurant. Tables aren't laid up and only cardboard cups provided for hot drinks. Cold drinks served in flimsy plastic disposable cups which unfortunately are abandoned everywhere around the complex and aren't cleaned up by the staff. The best feature of the hotel is it's location but it's definitely not a four star hotel but were charged 70 euros tourist tax. With a little more effort this could be a good hotel but we won't return.

We stayed here for 1 week and it was definitely not a 4 star hotel like they say.| 1 of the beds had slats missing it smelled of sewers everyday from the drains. The cleaner didn't even clean the rooms properly and on 1 occasion he didn't even lock our room door after he had been in.|I would avoid staying in this hotel we definitely will not be staying in this hotel again. |Another thing is the hotel charges you 70 euros on arrival as they say it's a 4 star but I've stayed in better 2 star hotels.

Check in was stated as 3pm, we arrived early but were advised we could leave our cases there safely and come back for 3pm so went for food. At 3pm we were told one of our groups had their family room ready but the other 2 rooms were not ready but wouldn’t be long. At 4pm we were still waiting and the receptionist advised us quite abruptly that they would be ready ‘ in a bit’ but would not commit to a time. We had been told our room numbers so went to see if our rooms were being cleaned, they were both unlocked , not cleaned and no cleaners to be seen. We advised the receptionist of this and she contacted the head of cleaning. At 5pm we were still waiting and were now fed up since being up from 2.30am! We spoke to her again and with a lot of persuasion and politely making our feelings known we were offered free food and drink for the rest of the day and hotel sun lounger towels without the requirement of 20 euros deposit. We decided to change into our swimwear - using the hotel reception toilet which had a frosted glass door and then a hole in the door by the lock which didn’t work , enabling people to view anyone on the toilet! Just before 6pm we asked again and finally our rooms were ready! The rooms were ok , small but with air con and all facilities as advertised. Unfortunately due to the heat wave being experienced at the time there was a wasp infestation which made eating and drinking not the best at times until the sun went down but there was nothing anyone could do about this situation. The hotel was a 2 minute walk from the beach and all bars and restaurants were right outside and serving a good selection of food. A 5 minute taxi ride to the strip and 15minute ride to the water park so in an excellent location.

Our family’s stay at Cavo D’Oro Hotel was unfortunately not the relaxing holiday we had hoped for. While the location and breakfast were good, the positives sadly end there.||Room & Facilities|The accommodation was sold to us as an apartment, but what we received was not suitable for B&B use. There was no kitchen, no utensils, and certainly nothing that would justify the description we booked under. The room also showed signs of poor maintenance with damp patches, missing grout, and low-quality repair work throughout.||Cleanliness & Housekeeping|Housekeeping was below standard. On one occasion, a male member of staff entered our room without knocking, which was completely unacceptable and left us feeling uncomfortable.||Atmosphere & Staff Conduct|The general atmosphere of the hotel was unpleasant and at times depressing. Staff conduct was poor, lacking the professionalism and warmth expected at a 4-star property.||Pool & Hygiene Concerns|One of the hotel’s pools was in a very poor hygienic condition. The water was cloudy and dirty. I personally witnessed staff hosing debris into the pool and emptying ashtrays directly into the surrounding pool area—some of which ended up in the pool itself. Due to these conditions, we avoided using the hotel pool entirely and instead went to a nearby hotel.||Rating Discrepancy & Tourist Tax|On Jet2’s site, this property is rated 3 stars, yet we were charged 4-star tourist tax (€10 per night, €140 total). Based on the quality of the rooms and facilities, this hotel is absolutely not 4-star. I strongly believe the hotel is misleading guests by benefiting from the rating of its sister hotel, Cavo Di Suites, located on the same road.||Overall|We left feeling disappointed and misled. This hotel does not reflect a genuine 4-star standard, and I would not recommend it to families seeking a relaxing holiday.

Hotel was clean staff were friendly, absolutely fantastic location thats where it ends........4* it was 2 at best rooms were basic which didn't bother us as its just a base, but no tea coffee facilities in the room, the sink for the bathroom was outside the bathroom which was awkward and the drains were quite potent smelling in the afternoons when coming back to change....we didn't use the pools at all due to the behaviour of some of the guests loud rowdy........holiday tax was based on a 4* which its sister hotel next door is so had to pay €10 per day where we believe after chatting to others we shouldve payed €5 a day at best. We had a great hoilday overall and have booked for next year but not this hotel sadly its location is perfect

Poor cleaning service, the personnel at hotel refused to give me invoice. They did change sheets every 2 days but for the rest, nothing. Rooms looked pretty dirty and bathroom was not hygienic cleaned as it should be. We had to disifect for ourselves because it looked like nobody did it before use. The yard looked pretty ok but too many hornets , almost impossible to stay and eat. |Food was poor in choice also, we ate each day in taverns nearby, with all inclusive service, and they refused to change the service from all inclusive to breakfast only, at my request. Overall , not at all 4 *, so i wouldn't recommend the place unfortunately. But i do recommend kalamaki and the beach, island is so beautiful.

We stayed 7 nights at the hotel, and the overall experience was bad. The rooms and the entire hotel lacks cleaning, the towels are rarely changed and were absolutely disguisting, even when changed they seemed dirty. There is also a group of goats that come near the hotel every evening and the shepherd comes and stays with his dog in the hotel yard when he pleases. The smell everywhere is awful, especially in the rooms and bathroom but also near the pool area, because of the goats. I’m trying to find something that I liked at this hotel but it’s hard, maybe the food, it was ok. The location not the best, it’s close to Kalamaki beach but the area itself is limited, few restaurants and shops. I would rate this hotel among the lowest I’ve ever been because it wasn’t cheap also, but the dirt level and the smell everywhere are a big no.
