Genuinely one of the nicest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. And easily the best views I have ever seen. Waking up every morning seeing the view of Med sea was picturesque. Honestly the whole place was like something off a postcard, stunning! 😍 Hotel great, staff good, pools and bar great service

We stayed in mid October. The hotel was nice, food good, however here is what I disliked - single use plastic cups in the cafe near the beach - for beer, for coffee etc. No wonder the place was empty most of the time. Next one, the pool was extremely cold. The service slow and confused for eveing drinks. And the animation team, two Russian speaking girls, were rude. Called the kids by number, played extremely loud music 1 meter away from small kids during the disco. Other than that we were happy and would go back (not in October though, we had windy weather.))

We stayed at the hotel after a 10 year break, but from the moment we arrived at reception it felt like just last year. We arrived late, bit whilst only booking bed and breakfast, the staff kindly brought us some sandwiches which were very much appreciated. The room was excellent, spotless, well appointed with a lovely sea view, the lounge was very relaxed and busy with a local singer most nights which we enjoyed. The restaurant services was warm and friendly, the food choice plentiful and the quality very good. The stone grill and Argo restaurants were particular favourites of ours and the food was delicious. Big thanks to the warm and friendly management and staff for making our return a a lovely stay, we cant wait to return.

The hotel overall is lovely, clean, and has a fresh feel, with a standard matching a 4-star rating. The food was enjoyable, and the beach was stunning, with warm, clear water and good bus connections making it easy to get around.||However, a few issues made our stay less comfortable:||Our sea-view room overlooked dumpsters that emitted a strong smell, even reaching our fifth-floor room.|The bedding situation was awkward: no duvet covers were provided, just sheets to wrap around the duvet, which was uncomfortable.|The towel service was poorly managed—towels were small, worn, and could only be exchanged once a day, with not always enough available.|Sun loungers on the beach were old and worn out, in need of replacement.|If these few points were improved, it would really enhance the overall experience.

Overall a disappointing stay and for the price have stayed at better hotels. The night concierge was amazing, letting us stay in a courtesy room before check in as we had a flight change and arrived 12 hour before we should have. All the reception staff were amazing and couldn't be faulted. ||The waiting staff on the other hand left a lot to be desired. 1 looked like he didn't want to be there, another stood about and couldn't be less interested in helping even when asked for help. Spilling liquids on the floor, seeing it and walking away for another member of staff to clean up. The younger male waiting staff couldn't stop looking at the young girls and laughed when a chair broke and a man ended up on the floor. ||Breakfast was chaotic, and if you got there after 9 it was manic with big queues for the coffee machines. The fruit juice machine would water down the juices very heavily too and glasses would run out without quick replenishment. Tea spoons also ran out and when we asked for 1 we were told to go look outside by the other machines. We ate out a few mornings as unattended kids coughing over the food put us right off. ||The cleaning of the dining room wasn't great, there was food and drinks splashed up for furniture and it hadn't been cleaned in a long while. The rooms were hit and miss too. Depending on who was on, the room with be either clean or so-so. The shower cubicle were always dusty, the bedroom area was just as bad as if you walked in, took shoes off and sat on the bed your feet would be covered in dust/dirt. ||With the lay out of the hotel, the swimming pool doesn't get a great deal of sun, you get a bit but it's shaded for most of the day, it was also used by kids running and jumping in so most adults didn't use the pool while we were there. The sunbeds were also very shaded and the ones in the sun were busy. In October it wasn't too much of a problem and as it was just myself I managed to get 1 on it's own. A lot of people would drag them over to friends and even after use they were left in groups. ||We paid for a sea view room and the views didn't disappoint but the room got no sun, as the other part of the hotel blocked it out. The front of the hotel was sunny all day. So if you want the view then great but you will need to forgo sun.||Overall the hotel could be good, some staff were lovely and couldn't do enough to help, others never smiled and looked as if we were an inconvenience to them. |For the price there are other hotels closer to the strip in Protaras.

Totally recommend this hotel, we were offered a free room upgrade to an apartment which was really big, the food was very good at the main restaurant and they also have another 4 restaurants in the resort, they have a lot of places for children, a swimming pool with lots of sunbeds and the local beach is right downstairs of the hotel. The room was cleaned daily, all the personnel was nice. This is really a 4 full stars hotel..

Our second visit to this hotel and once again it did not disappoint. Excellent food and service. Must mention the following people who went above and beyond in the restaurant, Christina, Christos, Comfort & Jason. Always smiling and nothing was too much trouble to make sure we enjoyed our dining experience every day.

Second time visitor to Cavo Maris. My kids love it so much here.||The great stuff:||- the newly renovated rooms are lovely! All the mod cons, the most comfortable beds and pillows. We had sea view family suite. |- we had just B and B, the breakfast is good (no omelette station) but good selection of everything. My only gripe is you have to self serve coffee, tea etc. |- the kids eat half price in the buffet restaurant and under 5 free! This is great value as for lunch there was always something for them to eat, plus fruit, plus icecream and for 40 euros for 4 (my kids eat a lot) I was very happy! Did not try others. |When the buffet gets overwhelmed - mostly breakfast time - management quickly open the adjoining restaurant Argo so more tables are available. |- kids club - we have been to many five star resorts around the globe with all singing all dancing kids clubs, but my daughter loves Cavo Maris the best. I think it’s because the Areena and the team really do care about the activities. They put their heart and soul into, cookery class, pottery class, yoga, messy play, kids disco, games night. They had a Halloween party whilst we were there and the team had made nearly all the decorations and special routines. I believe the kids club room is too small, it’s dingy no windows and although they have an outdoor space, management should move kids club possibly to the quiet room in the lobby- no one ever goes in there! Swap the two rooms!|- clean clean and more clean! The housekeeping staff ate fantastic spotless everywhere, bedrooms, public toilets even the pool ones were spotless. |- the wait staff are excellent same faces year on year and they really are top class.|- reception staff ladies - thank you as always. ||Improvements |- the pool was freezing. I mean freezing I could not let my 2 year old go in. Kids were coming out with blue lips! I heard a few people say they have booked different hotels for next year that have heated pools, when they complained they were told to book a 30 min slot in indoor pool! Not good enough. |- room service - there is none. One major downside as sometimes you just want to stay in your room. I do not understand why this can’t be a service. Please look into this!|- toiletries in rooms only a body and hair wash combined. What about conditioner and lotion? ||For a half term winter break for the last two years it has been great. Improvements can always be made and management are visible all the time. |Hopefully see you again next year!
