Cavo Maris Beach Hotel

We stayed at Cavo Maris Beach Hotel in Protaras from October 4–11, 2025, as a group of four families in six rooms. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth, and we received exactly the rooms we booked. Everything was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. The pool area was spotless, with plenty of sunbeds and towels. The location is beautiful and close to the beach, with a nice playground and kids’ activities. Julia from Guest Relations was exceptionally helpful and kind — she assisted us in arranging a rental car and made everything easier. The value for money is one of the hotel’s strongest points. Areas for improvement: taxis to town are quite expensive, spa prices are a bit high and there’s no hot jacuzzi, there aren’t enough trash or recycling bins around the hotel, and the elevator could be faster. Overall, an outstanding stay — we’d gladly return!

Runs like a 3 star cruise ship on land. Lots of rules and strict timing. Great for young families I guess but its expensive and the staff are the unhappiest and unfriendliest people in all of cyprus. No one needs to see those sour faces at reception every time you pass on a beautiful holiday. Rooms are clean with small bathrooms. Funny enough, the room cleaning staff are friendly and better at customer service than the front desk. Location is superb and the grounds are nice. You will need a car to any decent restaurants and bars. The fake village borders on tacky with the plastic animals but im sure kids will love it and the food is actually very good at the village cafe. Mahalebi was on point, with a metrio greek coffee! The pool barman deserves a mention, great mixer, lots of personality and a genuine smile for every customer. Won't come back but was an experience!

Lovely and clean. Welcoming. Friendly, hard working staff. Cleaners did a fantastic job throughout the hotel. (They cleaned none stop morning till night working really hard) Lovely modern decor and design. Comfortable beds. Lovely location. Well equipped gym. Breakfast as expected from a buffet style breakfast. Little extra touches that make all the difference. Pillow menu. Different light settings including bright and ambient and a subdued light in the bathroom that comes on with a sensor in the night as you stand up from your bed. Magnifying mirror within the main bathroom mirror for shavings etc. Soaps smell amazing. Sanitizer to use on toilet seats before you sit down. Sandwich on arrival incase you are hungry (late check in) Tv had lots of Chanel’s and you can log in to your Netflix if you wanted to. Dressing gowns. Slippers. Interconnecting doors between rooms if needed. Drinking water dispenser on every level by the lifts. Suggestions for improvement. Breakfast could be warmer. It was ok for me and I expect that they would have warmed it up had I said anything so I don’t think this is a reflection on the hotel just personal preference. Lock on toilet doors by pool broken. Wipe/sanitize lift doors and buttons more often. (Everything else was immaculately clean) Had an amazing relaxing holiday. 😊I would 100% recommend this hotel.
