First ever stay in the Cawdor as we like LLandeilo with its artisan vibe and amazing views. This was a last minute booking because we have family not far from here and the hotel we'd booked in Lampeter couldn't accommodate an extra night to our stay. ||The hotel is imposing on the high street, how can you miss a big red building, but the place itself is great. There is secure and private parking behind the hotel, accessed from the high street, but the walk down is a bit hairy, especially with a big suitcase. ||Check-in was very friendly and the lady then helped us with our bags to the room. There is no lift so again, if you have a big suitcase and bags as we did, it's all a bit strenuous. ||Our room was huge with vaulted ceiling, plenty of space to lounge and a big bed. The window was small though and overlooked the courtyard, and because it was a very warm day, we couldn't get much air from it. Luckily there was a big fan in the room which helped a lot. No aircon, this is a 250 year old building after all. Our bathroom was also spacious, clean and equipped with a large bath and excellent double nozzle shower over it.||All the staff we met were extremely friendly and very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We did dine in the restaurant that night as well and had a good meal. ||We paid £126 for B&B in an extremely generous room which I'd definitely recommend.
