First ever stay in the Cawdor as we like LLandeilo with its artisan vibe and amazing views. This was a last minute booking because we have family not far from here and the hotel we'd booked in Lampeter couldn't accommodate an extra night to our stay. ||The hotel is imposing on the high street, how can you miss a big red building, but the place itself is great. There is secure and private parking behind the hotel, accessed from the high street, but the walk down is a bit hairy, especially with a big suitcase. ||Check-in was very friendly and the lady then helped us with our bags to the room. There is no lift so again, if you have a big suitcase and bags as we did, it's all a bit strenuous. ||Our room was huge with vaulted ceiling, plenty of space to lounge and a big bed. The window was small though and overlooked the courtyard, and because it was a very warm day, we couldn't get much air from it. Luckily there was a big fan in the room which helped a lot. No aircon, this is a 250 year old building after all. Our bathroom was also spacious, clean and equipped with a large bath and excellent double nozzle shower over it.||All the staff we met were extremely friendly and very helpful and couldn't do enough for you. We did dine in the restaurant that night as well and had a good meal. ||We paid £126 for B&B in an extremely generous room which I'd definitely recommend.

I stayed at the Cawdor for two nights for a family wedding. The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food and canapes that was prepared for the reception after the wedding ceremony was excellent and the staff were attentive without being over-powering. There was also an excellent range of breakfast choices. The only drawback was that my room was facing the main road & being a narrow road, the sound of traffic was greatly increased and affected my sleep.

We stayed in the Cawdor for on night. We had a Courtyard room which was beautiful! Super king size bed was very comfortable, room was spotlessly clean. Tea/coffee facilities were all provided. Hugh bathroom with separate bath and shower. |We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Both were really tasty especially the full Welsh breakfast in the morning. |Would definitely stay again!

Just spent 3 nights in one of the apartments of The Cawdor. Gorgeous place, heaps of space, lovely beds & bathrooms.|We booked the apartment as it said there was a mini kitchen (we prefer to cater for ourselves) alas there was no tea towels, washing up liquid or sponges so we called to reception who said they would rectify. After a time with nothing appearing, I went to reception who gave me 2 old, grey cloths, 2 scourers and a catering tub of liquid with no lid. The next day after the room was 'serviced' (beds sort of made) the washing up liquid was gone. All a bit weird and tricky to keep things clean. However, the breakfast was fantastic....the choice, quality and service were all lovely. Great location too.

What an amazing wedding from our arrival to departure. All made possible by the amazing staff each and everyone of them so courteous and polite a credit to yourselfs. The food was 1st class, quality ingredients and cooked to a high standard. The rooms are very spacious with nice little touches such as toiletries tea/coffee and welshcakes and the usual ironing facilities that you'd expect of a high standard hotel which this is.Thank you all for an experience which really added to our day.

Excellent meal at The Cawdor. It was advertised In a book of recommendations at our holiday cottage and I'm glad we visited. Staff very friendly and attentive. We opted to sit in the bar area as opposed to the restaurant. Good atmosphere . Husband said best steak he's had in a very long time!

We stayed at The Cawdor as an emergency - after a terrible experience with an Airbnb property that meant we were homeless - so arrived late at The Cawdor and got told there was no food...but when I got to my room, someone rang and said they could knock something up for us. Lasagne. The service was excellent at this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is keen to ensure you feel well looked after. The breakfast is amazing. Llandello is a lovely village.

Stayed last night after the town's car show. The staff were amazing. The reception made checking in easy and also took the time to find me in the evening and complemented me on my display vehicle that was in the car park. 🛻. The restaurant staff were very helpful and efficient. The room and bathroom were large. The bed was comfortable. The car park is secure, (you need a code to get in), but it has a tight left hand turn to get to it, which can be tricky for larger vehicles.

Yelp
This is a lovely little hideaway in west wales. The building has lots of character, the decor is discrete but opulent. The staff are lovely and friendly an the do is very good. I have now stayed here three times and never been disappointed. The rooms feature Melin Tregwynt furnishings and come with Moulton Brown washing lotions and potions. The bar has a fabulous range of good wines and spirits as well as craft ales. The restaurant knocks out some really tasty food. Breakfast is good quality fayre. A recent addition is the vodka bar and cafe. A good range of potions, tastefully served. Do visit this place. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
What a lovely place in Wales, Llandeilo must be jolly to have such a hotel. We only used the pub like small restaurant as well as the great restaurant. Amazing food, good booze and unbeatable prices if you come straight out of London. Friendly and attentive staff, pugged and hammered after. This I call a holidays!

Yelp
We have stayed at the Cawdor for our wedding anniversary. We had the Dinefwr Suite which is one of the two nicest rooms in the hotel. The room was out of this world and just beautiful but the climb up the stairs was a bit much for a pregnant woman! We ate in the restaurant the night we stayed there and the food was delicious. We have been back for an afternoon tea on many occasions. The afternoon teas are huge and brilliant value for money. My only complaint would be that the lounge is often dirty as the waiters do not clean the tables after each customer.

Yelp
We ate here recently for a family birthday and it was lovely. owned by the same people that run the Morgans Hotel in Swansea, they have made an effort to make this stylish and relaxed. The food was very good, although the menu is a little stuffy for lunch, we all came away contented and rubbing our stuffed bellies. The wine list was good and the bar where you wait had nice photography all around it which looked cool. Service was excellent. We had a waitress from the local area who was very chatty and entertaining. Parking is a problem in the whole area and this place is no exception so it's better to get a taxi at night. Likewise disabled access or buggy access is not great.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my meal at the Cawdor. I was half expecting one of those tiny, underwhelming hotel meals but was blown away by the delicious & very filling chicken dish that I ordered. It was tasty & cooked to perfection. The service was excellent & swift. The only downside to this hotel is the decor & lighting are rubbish!! especially the lighting...but it would not stand in the way of another visit. I was so impressed, I spent many days trying to find an excuse to go back again. Not bad value for money either. Bon appetit!
