CayeReef Beachfront Boutique Condo Hotel

Really beautiful rooms at a great location. They handled our large group expertly. I was also excited to find one of the few hot tubs in Belize on the roof!

We stayed in #5 for a week and had a wonderful vacation. The location was perfect, close to the Split, restaurants, and a couple little stores. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The AC worked perfectly. We used the pool and hot tub a couple times and it had them to ourselves each time. Other guests came and went during our stay, but it was never crowded or overly loud. The grounds were kept clean and the little beach has nice shade and a few chairs. Bikes were available. |The street out front is full of activity. You can hear faint music from the nearby bar. We loved having a cocktail on the balcony in the evening. The breeze and the view is incredible. We slept well and have no complaints. We hope to visit Caye Caulker again and Caye Reef would be our first choice to stay. Highly recommend!

Quick summary:|Not good if you want quiet as opposite a bar with pumping reggae all day.||Good if you want to be in the centre of everything with a great sea view.||Booked roof top apartment. Cleaning staff all were lovely and allowed us to drop our luggage early and leave whilst they tidied, super kind of hotel to allow this. Apartment has everything you need, bed was comfy (only used one room), AC worked well. Hammock on balcony was awesome. View was great. Kitchen was well appointed.||Roof top was disappointing, no shade or umbrellas in baking sun and loungers were crappy old half broken plastic ones. Not as welcoming as pics, felt very tired.

Everything was right about this place. It was a great location in proximity to all of the restaurants, excursions and street vendors. The AC was a huge perk, beds were comfortable, the amenities were perfect for a “go slow” vacation. The rooftop jacuzzi was a perfect way to wind down the day while watching the sun set over the ocean. ||Our host was amazing at making sure we had what we needed and being available. I wouldn’t change a thing. There was enough local vibe mixed with common comforts to make you feel like you weren’t just at home but also not missing some of the comforts of home. I would stay here again and I definitely recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay at Caye Reef. Our unit was on the 4th floor…and at times the stairs were a killer. When we go back…we would probably target the 2nd or 3rd floor. Based on the concrete construction, I don’t think you need to worry about noise from floors above. |The kitchen was nicely equipped. Though we were just doing drinks and appetizers. I didn’t try to do any full meals. I would also call out their filtered water cooler. It offered filtered cold water…we used this heavily. I would recommend bringing a water bottle with you. ||The little pool downstairs was a fun gathering spot for the various guests. The ocean is across the street with unobstructed views. They do have a reserved section of the “beach” but the beaches on this island are less than spectacular. Very hard packed sand and the water is part of marina, restaurants…not anything I would call swim able. This isn’t just for this location…applies to pretty much all of the south side. Just level set your expectations! |The management was very help with recommendations and suggestions for activities etc,

We were blown away by the room. It was so comfortable and each room has a great view. The location is also fantastic. Right on Main Street by the split where all the action is. They have bike, kayaks, and paddle boards free for guests to use which made it so fun for the kids.

We loved our time at Caye Reef. Danny, Bobbie and Marlene were friendly and welcoming, and really made our stay special. The condo was clean and comfortable, loved the artwork and the views from the balcony. The pool and rooftop hot tub were so nice. We would return here in a heartbeat!
