The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. Other than that the room and the entire hotel need a major renovation. The room stank as did the old and worn out carpeting. The desk chair in the room was broken, a law suit waiting to happen. There was no ventilator in the bathroom and the plumbing barely worked. The coffee maker in the room was a disaster: spilling everywhere. The stucco on the ceiling was peeling, the room was as clean as it could be given its beat up condition. The grounds of the hotel are unkempt. Given the overall conditions it was extraordinarily overpriced.|Breakfast was good. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Wife and I just stayed here last weekend. I thought it was a great hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. Breakfast was included and it was very nice. Eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, etc. Not just danish and coffee. And it was very affordable for the area. Everywhere else we looked was out of our price range. Will definitely stay here again next time we come to Ithaca!

The concierge was rude while we checked in. We had to get his attention even though he looked right at us as we walked In. When we got inside our room we noticed that the pillows had stains on them. Not sure if it was marker, make up, food stain or whatever. I called the front desk and requested new pillows, the same attendant that checked us in answered the phone. He sounded annoyed when I told him the issue and the request.. And he repeated twice " so you want new pillows?" He brought them to the room and almost shoved them in my face. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast. Do not recommend anyone to check in at night, if you have to stay there. Otherwise stay somewhere else. not sure how morning staff is, hopefully better.

Rooms, food and staff are great! The overall inside is dated and to dark, seems to be the new owners are aware of this and will be working on it! The grounds around the property some are very nice and other areas need some work. The breakfast is very nice! All you can eat buffet style of eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, pancakes etc! Coffee, juice, milk etc! Overall great experience except for the building needs some updating!

The hotel was pleasant. Outside needs updating but great and pleasant staff. Breakfast was very nice and breakfast room was one of the best. Room and bed was very comfortable.. No complaints for the price.

Unfortunately this hotel lived up to the negative reviews. The entire place needs attention: cracked glass on exterior door, needs painting and cleaning in many areas, landscaping needs alot of attention, roof "blu" details missing in some areas, could not see out room window, dirty/foggy and thermo-pane compromised, no elevator, all exterior areas untidy. Best feature was the dining room that was pleasant with good breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We are a family of four and prior to arriving, I was called to see if we could benefit from a roll away bed. My husband and I thought that was very a thoughtful gesture. The room was comfortable. The location was great with easy access to restaurants, gas stations etc. I appreciated that they served hot breakfasts which was included. The housekeeper was accommodating to our needs. I would recommend Cayuga Blu to anyone.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been in, hands down. The outside looks like it’s abandoned, but we decided to go in and take a look anyway because hey, maybe it’ll be an interesting story to tell? Get inside. Lights were super dim and it looked like it hadn’t been updated or even maintained since the 90s. Like if you said this place was abandoned, I would have believed you. It smelled like decades old cigarette smoke. When we got to our room, we were immediately bowled over by how mildewy it smelled. Like I am easy to please when it comes to hotels and this was absolutely untenable. We asked for another room but were met with the same terrible odor. We decided to inspect the room to see where it was coming from and found that the air conditioning unit was moldy and dripping into the carpet, which was soaking wet. We decided to leave. As we walked out, we saw some mysterious goo dripping from the wall. Do. Not. Recommend.
