If you are craving for ice creams on the way, it can be good stop. The flavors are okay; nothing special.

Google
Best ice cream I ever did have. Food is also bomb. I get the buffalo chicken sandwich every time I’m about to make a road trip! This is where it’s at. #1 best ice cream and ice cream eating-environment in all of Tburg area and also the world.

Google
Cayuga Lake Creamery was a great ice cream stop. They have a large selection of homemade ice cream and they have hard, soft, custard and sundaes to choose from. They also have some savory food options if you're interested in that. The ice cream was great, my wife enjoyed the cake batter and her waffle cone and I got the Reese's pieces sundae which was incredible! I got the small and it was way more than enough. Only go large if you haven't had food in 24 hours. The place was busy but we really had no wait at all. The team was working fast back there. Prices are average for ice cream nowadays and I thought portions were appropriate. They have an inside and outside eating area attached to the creamery and there is more outside down the hill where there is extra parking as well. It's nothing special inside but for an overly hot day nice to have. The outside down the hill provides shade so that is nice as well. Either way a great stop for ice cream if you are in the area. Enjoy!

Google
Excellent handmade local ice cream. The taste "No Doze" By far one of my favorites. And of course gluten free options including a waffle cup

Google
The service itself was fine, the staff were welcoming and friendly but the prices and quality left much to be desired- $8.25 for a single scoop of blueberry cheesecake ice cream that had zero blueberry flavor in a rubbery, stale waffle cone. Very disappointing.

Google
Brought my 3 childrens for Father's Day this year. We've gotten ice cream here many times before, but this time we got burgers (one order of fries) a vanilla shake, and then waffle cones (for those of us who didn't get a shake). The burgers were tasty, and personally I love the home-churned ice cream, but the price! is what keeps CLC from getting that 5th star. Definitely five star service and cleanliness though.

Google
What a wonderful place to get an old fashioned ice cream on a hot day. Pistachio is my favorite & paired with Mocha Chocolate Chunk was the bomb diggitty! I’m allergic to gluten and didn’t have any problems finding options. They also take it serious with precautions.

Google
We stopped here for an ice cream after our dinner on a Sunday night. It was just before closing. The icecrean was just OK... it didn't taste like homemade and I think it was overpriced.

Nadeene F.

Yelp
Simply delicious ice cream with unique flavors and generous serving size. Service with a smile but the seating area leaves much to be desired down by the swamped falling down play area.

Yelp
After hiking the Gorge Trail at Taughannock Falls State Park earlier in the morning, we decided lunch would be appropriate so we stopped at this restaurant/creamery. We each ordered the days special - a hot dog, chips and a slice of pickle. Nothing special, but pretty good as was our service.

Yelp
I wish they were open during winter! There's something about how they make their ice cream that is quite special. One must be the quality of dairy and ingredients they use. They don't put in excessive sugar; you can taste the underlying flavors of the ingredients. They had a massive flavor menu. It rotates, seasonally. What am I partial to? Ginger, Lavender, Strawberry, Jalepeno Popper, Cinnamon, Gianduia, Butter Pecan, Pistachio, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Apple Spice, Rum Raisin, Tiramisu, Eggnog. You can ask them to pack pints for you to take home. But there's a possibility you might just eat it all in one go. Their parking lot was still gravel the last time I was there. There is some seating both inside and outside.

Yelp
I've had ice cream from Fulton ny to painted post and I can confidently say this is the best ice cream I've had so far. The waffle cones are superior to any I've had as well. I expected to wait awhile but they were very fast as well
google avatar

Yelp
Rich, creamy flavors that you won't find elsewhere, ample seating and parking (there's a second lot down a little hill), and a bathroom inside with more tables. Scoops are average size so can can order up and try another flavor for an additional $1 a scoop. The website lists current flavors, but they did not match what was currently offered so I was a little disappointed the one I was looking forward to wasn't actually there
google avatar

Carly F.

Yelp
Beware that if you come in a "van" they will not serve you - even if there are only 6 of in your group Beyond disappointed to have waited inline for 15 minutes for us to go up to the window for them to ask "did you come in the van" and then telling us we will not serve you, it's a new policy we're trying. They turned us away and then proceeded to serve the group of 5 behind us that came in a van & just didn't park in their driveway

Yelp
I know good quality ice cream when I see it. I had to try Cayuga Lake Creamery when I saw them at the Trumansburg farmers market. After trying their Lemon Sorbet and Purple Cow ice cream, I knew I had to visit their store. I went to the Interlaken store and got 2 scoops of the Purple Cow ice cream. Purple Cow is black raspberry ice cream with dark chocolate chips. It's so creamy and heavenly. Where I'm from, I don't come across unique flavors like that. Overall, a great establishment with quick service and delicious ice cream.

Yelp
2023 Trumansburg Farmers market. This is a one scoop cone for $6.75. Wide variety of flavors were available.

Yelp
Just off State Rt 89 you'll find a little shack and a dirt lot in front which actually sells more than just the ice cream suggested by their name and size of the building. Indoor seating was still closed when I went, but I think it's more charming to order from the windows anyway. We got Peanut Butter Ripple, Maple Bacon and Seneca Sea Salt Caramel in waffle cones. As a healthcare worker, I got a 15% discount because, I guess COVID has its perks. It's still on the pricey side but the baseball-sized scoops are nothing to scoff at. The crowd (of two) favorite was Seneca Sea Salt. The Maple Bacon was fine, but I wished the bacon bits were a little more caramelized or crispy rather than the chewy lumps I would get with each bite. It's not the most amazing ice cream I've had in my life, but it does really hit the spot. The sweetest treat was the little bit of chocolate in the bottom of each waffle cone. I'm not sure I'd be tempted by the savory items on the menu like the chili and burgers, yet a fair amount of people seem to get them based on the Yelp pictures. Taking off a star because the employees who were there the day I went were very lackluster and seemed to be impatient to get back to chatting in the scoop room. We had to keep going back and knocking on the window to get their attention to get a spoon or napkin because they forgot to hand these to us our first go around.

Yelp
Oh my goodness!! This ice cream is so creamy and full of all the chunks in the flavor of your choice. I had passionate peanut butter cup and my husband and cherries jubilee with chunks of dark chocolate. Scoops are the size of baseballs and were served in homemade waffle cones. We will be back because there are more flavors to try.
google avatar

Yelp
It's been about a year, but I just wanted to have a review down. It was perhaps the best ice cream we (myself, my husband, and my in laws) had ever had. Hard to put my finger on, but it came down to something about the quality of the milk that really stunned us. Will definitely be back if I'm ever remotely in the area.

Yelp
SO many amazing flavors to choose from! Creamy, hand made ice cream with a cute outdoor setting to sit and enjoy your treats. I love coconut, and it's hard to find so I got a scoop or that and lavender. They have food specials every day. I wish I got lunch there as well. Beautiful ride out there!

Yelp
Great place to stop on vacation. The best ice cream place in town! Friendly service to boot.

Yelp
Very tasty, creamy ice cream. The homemade cones were on the staler side when we had them, and the service was slow (2 man show for a whole line of people). We had pistachio - very very good, coffee - very very coffee, and salted caramel - mostly caramel tasting.
google avatar

Micah K.

Yelp
Super cute place! With yummy homemade ice cream and waffle cones, along with daily "real food" specials such as grilled cheese and tomato soup this place is the perfect little stop for any occasion! They even have bags of finger-lakes coffee grounds and take home pints of ice cream! I mean, what's not to love? Peanut butter ripple is great but I'd have to say the air conditioned seating is better. Kidding! But it is great that you can both order and eat inside. So, no matter how hot(or cold) it is you can still enjoy your ice cream! The only I would change is adding more flavors. There's about 10 flavors right now, which considering it's homemade ice cream, is quite impressive. Still more options would be nice.
google avatar

Yelp
A gem! I looked up places for food near the waterfall we visited and this place came up. I wanted real food and this place had desserts and real food. There was a lady here who said the coffee is really good too! I ordered the purple cow in a special waffle conex dipped in chocolate with sprinkles and my boyfriend got a special cone with peanuts and chocolate ice cream. The texture of the ice cream was so creamy and rich. I've never had such fantastic ice cream before. I really wish there were more of these near me! The price was a little steep and the shop wasnt as colorful as other ice cream places I've been to, but the ice cream really makes up for it. It wasnt too sweet and the combination of the chocolate coat on the cone and the ice cream was just perfect. Order inside rather than being dummies like us and ordering outside! There are tables to sit both inside and outside. The staff are nice too which is a plus. Definitely planning on coming again when I'm in the area!

Yelp
Cayuga Lake Creamery was one of our vendors at my wedding this past July and it was definitely one of the highlights of our day! We opted for a full sundae station so people could choose flavors and customize what they wanted. The owners were wonderful to work with and made everything so easy and straightforward even when we wanted to change up the flavors. On the night of our wedding, I went for the Sea Salt Caramel and it was some of the most satisfyingly creamy and delicious ice cream I have ever had! My dad used to take me to their Interlaken location so it also had the nostalgia factor but somehow it tasted even better than I remembered. People were raving about it! My husband and I stayed in Ithaca the week after and made a point to go to their location in the Dewitt Mall as well and it was well worth it. Cayuga Lake Creamery is some of the best ice cream around!

Yelp
Tasty ice cream and a kiddy portion is huuuuge. They have food outside of ice cream as well, like burgers, grilled cheeses and sometimes soups (although they were out of soups at this time). The 4.25 for a kiddie scoop on a cone was huuuge. I had the butter pecan and it took me like 10 minutes to finish the whole cone and it was bigger than what I would have expected. The ice cream was definitely creamy and delicious!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
We came here based on a recommendation and I'm so glad we did. This ice cream shop has some unique flavors and of course the standards. I ordered the coffee toffee which I loved and my daughter had the single scoop of salted caramel in a waffle cone. Hers was very generous for a single scoop. Great ice cream with ample outdoor seating.
google avatar

Yelp
Yummy yummy yummy! Please stop by for this delicious ice cream if your looking for some darn good stuff. Do it! Just to the 2 scoop.. it's o my a dollar more. You'll enjoy it, treat yourself

Yelp
One of the creamiest ice cream ever ! After a few tastings of fingerlakes famous dry reislings, I needed something delicious to fulfill my sweet tooth, what's better than ice cream? Creamyy delicious ice cream of course We asked to sample a few flavors before deciding two large scoops of ice cream. We tried peachy keen, purple cow, and coconut almond fudge. We ended up getting purple cow and the coconut almond fudge on a waffle cone! The waffle cone is a must, they make it fresh on site and it was delicious! That crunchy waffle taste with a little bit of ice cream flavor was ohhhh my god. We wanted to try their wine sorbet/ ice cream and was so disappointed to see that they were sold out! Guess I can use that as an excuse to have my bf take me again...until next time

Yelp
It is located inside the Ithaca Mall close to the theater. I tried the mocha chocolate kiddie scoop for $4. The scoop size was more like a regular size so $4 is worth the price and very flavorful. It's not overly sugary but just right. They have a nice selection of flavors.

Yelp
We were visiting finger lakes for the first time and wanted to try some ice cream along with the obvious wines/beers. I consider myself an ice cream connoisseur/snob. I didn't see much of interest on menu. Looking for a coconut/pistachio which they didnt have. Found a strawberry cheesecake under the "limited edition" or specials menu. Lol the kicker - .25 cents more per scoop. Who the hell charges more money per scoop based on flavor? Annoying. Anyway, it was close to 8 dollars for two scoops in waffle cone. Very expensive. The ice cream was awful! No cheesecake pieces and the majority of the "ice cream" was this weird almost like strawberry jam (see picture). Not going back here again when visiting.

Yelp
You can drive forever on Rt 96 and not find a place to grab a bite. I was starving so I stopped at the Creamery not knowing what they had beyond ice cream. I was pleased to find a varied lunch menu. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The attendant said well, if you get the special which is the sandwich, soup, and chips, it is actually cheaper. The sandwich is only $3.50 so cheaper than that - yes let's do it. Bacon and tomato on the sandwich? No, just tomato please. OK, that will be $7.00. I'm no mathematician but I'm pretty sure 7 is greater than 3. Whatever, I was starving. I got my food after about a 15 min wait and hit the road. The sandwich was dry as dirt and didn't have any tomato. The soup was OK, probably out of a can and only 3/4 cup (I measured it when I got home). Chips are chips. I hear they have good ice cream though.

Yelp
We were on our way to Cayuga Lake State Park and decided to stop by here for a sweet craving after our hiking trip. They offer sugar free, gluten free and non-dairy ice cream flavors. Their purple cow flavor was the creamiest but less sweet ice cream I have ever tasted. I have enjoyed it as I enjoyed the color. A scoop serving was more than enough. Price is reasonable. There are plenty of parking and benches available. Free water service. They offer more than ice cream inside their place like real food. Hands down to the service. A recommended stop-over.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped by while camping in Ithaca. This place is worth the drive if you're stopping at nearby wineries or Taughannock State Park. The ice cream is definitely creamier and richer than the other popular ice cream options in Ithaca. It's really pricey, with a single scoop ringing up at $5 plus tax. The portions are generous though, so two people could easily share a scoop or two. We tried Kahlua Almond Fudge and Seneca Salt Caramel. Of the two, Seneca Salt was my fave - it had a stronger flavor and creamier, silky texture. May be too sweet for people who don't love caramel. The Fudge had a subtle Kahlua flavor, with nice veins of gooey fudge. It was slightly crystalized though, which messed up the texture.

Yelp
I've been going here for years and while the ice creams are delicious the prices are outrageous. I recommend if you're looking for unique flavors tho.

Ada P.

Yelp
The ice cream was so good! Lots of flavors to pick from,so chose several kiddie dishes and took back to our vacation rental to enjoy over our stay.

Yelp
Soft serve machine broken. Boyfriend asked for chocolate dip, worker said he would check on chocolate dip, boyfriend given ice cream with no dip and no answer in if there's dip until after we paid for chocolate dip. I ordered snickers, was told after we paid there was no snickers. I asked for s'mores, there was no s'mores. Employees were more concerned with emptying tip jar than helping us who were next in line. We showed with still a half hour left of business, they should have been ready to serve.

Yelp
mmmmmmm fluffernutter icecream!! pretty expensive but so good and creamy!! And homemade waffle cones
google avatar

Brian B.

Yelp
So, we stopped at this place on our way home from Buttermilk Falls. Delicious. Not a huge variety of choices, but enough to satisfy my wife and two kids. Waffle cones were homemade and so was the ice cream. Creamy and cold! Definitely would go again!
google avatar

Jessi C.

Yelp
The ice cream is good but it is super expensive, so I don't think it's worth the price. $4.50 for a kids cup. I got the chocolate malt with whoppers (really tasty and creamy) and my husband got the mint chocolate chip (didn't like the mint flavor). I've heard the rum raisin is very good, but I didn't get to try it. Plenty of parking and a little play area for the kids outside. Nice stop to break up your wine tour.
google avatar

Yelp
Since there were so many great flavors on the wall, we decided to go with the Taster's Choice, which is a sampler that comes with five mini-scoops of any flavor you choose. They were all delicious! You can taste the freshness of the milk in the ice cream, which is homemade on site and I believe is sourced from local cows. We decided to go with the pistachio, chocolate chunk (vanilla ice cream with dark chocolate chips- my favorite), chocolate, purple cow (black raspberry with chocolate chunks- my husband's favorite) and sea salt caramel. The Taster's Choice would've been better suited for a family of four since their "mini-scoops" were actually normal single-serving scoops. However, my husband has a sweet tooth and was able to plow through and finished the remaining flavors! I probably got through about a scoop and a half. This was definitely a great stop on our way to Taughanock Falls and Seneca Lake!
google avatar

Yelp
Good about sums it up. it was a hot day so we stopped on the way back to our campsite. on the pricy side. Ice cream was good.

Yelp
I got the Apple Spice ice cream, AWESOME!! I have never had it anywhere else. The waffle cone is great (the dipped chocolate and sprinkles cone is a bit too much with the ice cream, just the plain is recommended).

Yelp
I feel obligated to write this review because I have not seen many reviews regarding custom ice cream cakes. I ordered over the phone a cake with 2 hard ice cream flavors and the chocolate crunchies in the middle for an extra charge. I was warned that the 2 flavors I chose, butter pecan and pistachio, might not be in stock at their main location and that they could potentially get it from their location in the Ithaca Mall. They had me select 2 backup flavors in case they couldn't acquire my first 2 choices, so I selected mocha chocolate chunk and coffee. Surprisingly, they could not immediately give me the price of the cake at the time I placed the order. They had to call me back to tell me. A few days later, I called the store to confirm that it would be ready for pickup. I was told the cake was not quite finished, but it would be ready at the time I requested to pick it up. I also asked what flavors were in the cake because I still did not know at this point, and I was told butter pecan and pistachio. I was pleased when I went to the store 4 hours later and the cake was ready at the scheduled time. Everyone was confused after we sliced and served the cake. It was not butter pecan or pistachio. It was mocha chocolate chunk and vanilla. As you can see from the picture, the cake is primarily vanilla ice cream. It was a disappointment. I feel scammed because I was given something I had not ordered. If they couldn't acquire 3 out of the 4 flavor options I gave them, they should have called me so that I could consider alternative options because I would have never selected vanilla. The worst part is that they lied to me over the phone when they said the cake was butter pecan and pistachio. I do think they have great ice cream, but I would consider other options when ordering a custom ice cream cake.

Yelp
The best creamy ice cream in finger lakes area. The service is excellent as well. I highly recommend this place! Will definitely come back to taste their grilled cheese.
google avatar

Yelp
Fluffernutter Purple cow....Black raspberry w chocolate and ASPARAGUS!!!!!! WHAT? CONFIRMED, pretty good.
google avatar

Nicole A.

Yelp
Super delish homemade ice cream. This place was like a goldmine on a GROSS rainy day, so that says something right? Very refreshing ice cream. Creamy and not too sweet and some exotic flavors. Mint chip wasn't artificially tasting and Bee Sting with espresso beans was yummy as was cookie dough. They have a cute little train down by the mini waterfall for kids. But it was rainy so we couldn't check it out. Super cute yummy ice cream
google avatar

Patti N.

Yelp
Best ice cream in the world that is not gelato Honest. Homemade waffle cones. Great owner. Clean. Friendly, efficient staff. SO worth the 25 mile ride from Ithaca.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
We love this place. The prices can be a little high but you get what you pay for and their ice cream is so good. They have a small seating are inside and another seating area outside. They serve more then just ice cream though. If you are driving through this area you need to stop by here.
google avatar

Yelp
Ok, so this is going to sound like hyperbole, but it's true: this is the best ice cream place ever. Sooo creamy and full of amazing flavor, wide selection, good portions, and some cool local tastes. It's too bad it's so far away -- or maybe that's a good thing because I'd be there twice a day. Last time we were in the area, we stopped in. I got a small cone and ate it on the deck. Then I went back inside to use the bathroom before getting back on the road. As I walked out toward the door to leave, I glanced at the menu and suddenly my next move became brilliantly clear: I needed a second cone -- maple walnut. As I walked back outside, my family cracked up when they saw me with my second cone. Then they all demanded a taste. Mind blowingly good; the best ever. If you're anywhere in the area, go get some of this deliciousness. I think you'll agree it's amazing.

Yelp
While their ice cream is home made we got a small hot fudge sundae with one of their hard ice creams and a single scoop of another in a dish . The 2 items totaled 15.00. Price is crazy tasty product but too expensive .

Yelp
Wow! To preface I am not the biggest fan of ice cream, it all tastes the same after a few bites to me. But this gem was truly some of the best ice cream I've had- on par with the likes of salt and straw. I rarely finish a whole scoop - but at this place I did and wanted more. This is a charming mom and pop side of the road ice cream joint with an impressive array of flavors. Each scoop can be turned into 2 flavors. We tried the the lavender honey, Seneca caramel, rum raisin and wine Rosie strawberry- all absolutely on point , the kind of quality you get at a boutique ice creamery( at a much cheaper price) You can tell they source their ingredients local , it's fresh and true to flavor . They also give generous home made waffle cone samples at he tables which in itself is delicious. Overall super impressed and glad to have stumbled on it during a post hike - I wish they existed in major cities - definitely highly recommend!!
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
After being told they were out of the flavor I ordered (cinnamon), they gave me a similar alternative (cinn-ful). I asked what cinn-ful contained (because you can't see the physical flavor options like most places). They told me chocolate chunks. What I ended up getting was very gritty, crystallized cinnamon ice cream with walnuts. Not good. Three stars because I'm sure the rest of the flavors were probably pretty good, I just made a poor choice.
google avatar

Paige B.

Yelp
I loved this place it is not to fancy but it has more than enough icecream flavors i was so pleasently suprised i totally recomend it
google avatar

Shu T.

Yelp
Definitely stop by if you're doing wine/cider tasting on the freeway. I would definitely recommend their ice cream. It is on the bit more expensive side (4.25 for a kiddie scoop), but I think it's on par with other ice cream in the area. I liked the cherry jubilee because it reminds me of Ben and Jerry's cherry garcia. They also have food here, but I have never tried it.

Yelp
Business has spring hours advertised on website as 11-9pm and at a little after 5pm they wouldn't serve us ice cream. It's spring..... not a very good business you're running.......
