Cecil Hotel

Excellent location. Very near Monastriaki Square, the hub of Athens. Syntagma Square is just 500 meters away. Just 20 minutes walk to Acropolis. The staff is very affable and helpful. Lovely buffet breakfast. They have a free luggage storage Room..Super market , Shops and restaurants are on same street. Everything was very convenient and we had a wonderful stay on budget.

Athens may be filled with soulless Airbnb rentals, each furnished with the same generic IKEA pieces—but Hotel Cecil is a refreshing exception. Like the city itself, Hotel Cecil isn't perfect, but its abundant charm and old-world character easily overshadow any minor imperfections. The prime location, the vintage Otis elevator, and functional WiFi are just added perks. Will be on the top of my list for my next visit to the city.

The best located and offer reasonable price to stay. Also breakfast included. You can walk every part of Athens from the hotel

The location is great as near Monastrika Square and Metro. The Hotel is a little dated but comfortable. Perfect for a short stay. Staff are friendly and helpful. The inclusive breakfast is perfect to start your day. The rooms have everything you need unless you want tea/coffee making facilities and there is no fridge to keep drinks cold.

The hotel is a genuine 2-star hotel: - The room was mostly small, and there was not a good air circulation for it to vent - The elevator did work but didn’t feel 100% reliable/safe - We got there after 09 pm and the man who checked us in only asked for our names and gave us the key. At no point did they check our passports 🫨 Good thing was that there was people at the front desk 24/7. However, we didn’t feel comfortable enough to ask for suggestions or anything like that Breakfast is on site, and though there is not a lot of variety, the products are of very good quality Greek yogurt was the best I’ve ever tried in my life! And the honey was also amazing They also offered cold cuts and cheese. Coffee, milk, tea, orange juice. And I think there were also some fruits The staff in charge of breakfast and cleaning the rooms were very friendly Place looked mostly clean, rooms were made every day and clean towels were left by default

Perfect location and comfortable bed but the rooms are definitely run down. Good place for staying one night.

The Cecil is a quaint hotel. The staff are very friendly and help out in anyway they can . The hotel serves a basic breakfast buffet ( boiled eggs, coffee ,tea, juice, cereal , meats, cheese yogurt ) . The hotel is ideally situated. It is close to restaurants, shops , and the monastiraki square. If you want to take a shower in the morning … good luck as there is no hot water due to other guests taking a shower. We would definitely stay here again !!

Smaller rooms but clean and comfortable. Friendly staff. Continental breakfast. Lots of shopping around and close to lots of things to do and see
