The staff at this lodge are the VERY BEST. Charlie, Sean and Liam were so kind. They were ready to assist with anything my husband and I needed. We were snowed in with no transportation and they told us about TART and gave us suggestions on restaurants. Charlie scraped ice off our car so it wouldn’t be a travel hazard for us once we left after the weather cleared up. The cabin was cozy and the bed was comfortable. The jacuzzi on our cabin bathroom was so relaxing. We plan to become regular guests there to celebrate our wedding anniversary each year. Thank you for a memorable stay !

Google
We loved our stay at Cedar Glen Lodge! We were very comfortable and our unit had everything we needed. The bed was super comfortable, the shower was great, parking was easy and right by our unit, and the staff was very friendly. This is a very well-organized property with lots of amenities and great location. We had gotten a surprisingly good rate through Expedia so we weren't sure what to expect and it was better than we expected!

This was such a quaint and cozy spot. The cottage was perfect and spacious. Charlie at the front desk went above and beyond during our stay. He even made me a pot of coffee at 9:30 at night, eventhough I could have made my own in the room. Every time I needed anything, he was literally at my beck and call. His customer service is top notch and you have a true gem working there. (Give this guy a raise)! He was a one man team checking in guests to a sold out hotel, while still being able to accommodate the guests needs. The facility was clean and well maintained. It was quiet and peaceful and in walking distance to everything. Beach access was right across the street and the hot tub was super relaxing. The sound of the wind chime at the front is a beautiful addition. We will definitely be back.

Google
These guys are so awesome and experts at running a hotel. The GM is super friendly and cares so much about the people that stay here and it shows! Definitely want to come back. The quality of the indoor facility is top-notch and it was very very clean as well. Such a comfortable night sleep after a long day of snowboarding. The staff is relaxed and easy to talk to and learn about the area or get help!!! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Google
The room was great! We are a little confused with the service… Charlie at the front desk was SO nice and gave us so many warm recommendations. When we came back from dinner on our final night we were so excited to have a quick hot tub and smores (as mentioned by Charlie until 10pm). We jumped out of the hot tub at 9, rushed to the room to shower and redress, and came out at 9:20 to find a dark front office and no fire pit. We were awkwardly turned down by someone else at the front office who was extremely rude. The property maps say this is all open until 10p? At first we loved this place but we’re now pretty disheartened and will probably stay somewhere else. We wish Charlie all the best - thank you - but the other person was extremely uncomfortable and rude.

Google
Perfect vacation spot! I loved the cabin!! It was cozy and had everything that we needed for sleeping and cooking. They have a fire pit to roast marshmallows (complimentary). BBQ is great for grilling; be aware the bear might come out, but they have a thing to scare it away. It is close to the beach and nature. Lovely spot.

We stayed here for a ski trip for new years. The room is very clean and cozy. We stayed on the second floor and it has a nice deck with amazing lake view. Beach is within 2 minutes drive and Safeway within 5 minutes. Very close to northstar skiing as well. The lodge also has a nice hot tub and fire pit to enjoy in the winter!

Celebrated a weekend away for my anniversary with my partner - it was wonderful! Highly recommend the honeymoon suite for: the privacy of having the entire cabin to yourselves, the jet tub, quaint & perfect size for 2, renovated & warm furniture/flooring, the cozy fireplace, and spacious fridge. Designated parking space was nice. Very quiet area right across from the beach! My only “complaint” is that the toaster was janky and the hot water ran out once (it re-filled/came back about an hour later so it wasn’t that big of a deal). I will happily return another time and I’ve already recommended this place to family.

Yelp
I'm telling you, if you want to stay at a great place in North Lake Tahoe, Cedar Glen Lodge is the place to be! They have a pool, a hot tub, a bbq grill, a picnic area with tables and chairs, a mini golf, a bonfire, a table tennis, and tons of board games. The rooms are complete with a small kitchen so you can prepare your own food. It's right across from the lake and not far from 7/11 and other shops and restaurants. You'd love your stay at this serene resort with staff that are friendly and helpful. Thank you for the good coffee in the morning and for the nice and warm welcome! Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Roselyn L.

Yelp
It's the best local style cabin feel in the north side of Tahoe, 5 stars is not enought for the following categories: cleanliness, amenities, location just across the lake, affordability, quality customer service, local community base business this lodging deserves loyalty from customers who seeks chill vibe....shout out to CHARLIE & GERALDINE for spreading "aloha spirit" and truly "Mahalo nui loa" for your kindness and warm welcome... I really appreciate a wonderful customer service and you guys exceeds that expectation. -Rose

Yelp
We came here for our honeymoon and it was the perfect little getaway. We ended up driving here through a severe winter storm and arriving late at night, but the man at the front desk waited for us to make sure we got in safe. We also had trouble getting our car up the icy driveway and he did his best to give us advice. I would definitely come here again.

Melissa M.

Yelp
Adorable recently renovated and updated cabins. Very clean and modern, but with a rustic feel. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Can't beat the views from the property. It's directly across the street from the lake. Loved having the kitchen to cook my family breakfast.

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay here so much. Such warm and friendly staff. Lots of fun amenities from pool/spa, games, (micro) mini golf, ping pong, beach access across the street. Very cool property, I wish it were mine to keep!!!

Yelp
*** If you have an electric vehicle this is the only place you should stay at in North Lake Tahoe *** If you're looking for a place that reminds you of the movie "The Great Out Doors", then you're gonna love this place. The rooms are dimly lit but clean. The staff their is fantastic and have great recommendations for eateries, trails, and activities. We ended up renting a boat from the guy they recommended and it was stress free. One more thing about this place, they have free s'mores! Not kidding, we showed up late after dinner and they had already shut down the bonfire, but they re started it up again to make our kids happy. It was awesome! I highly recommend this place for your family, it's a great place to be semi-secluded. Also the coffee is fantastic! The Cedar Glen Lodge is located in a less densely populated part of North Lake Tahoe. You need to have a car to get around, period. It's located in between Kings Beach and Tahoe City which is nice, but there isn't a lot around it if you plan on walking. That being said there is plenty to do in either direction a short drive away. One other thing to keep in mind is that it's located in California, so if you're flying out of Reno, you'll need to schedule a ride ahead of time because Uber can't come from Nevada to get you.

Yelp
New go-to place in North Lake Tahoe with EV charging (but only 1 for normal EVs and 1 for Teslas - not supercharge). Pros - EV charging!! - Prime, central location walking distance to the beach/kayaking/water sports and very close driving distance to Safeway in case you need to pick up any groceries or supplies - Short 15 min drive to Tahoe City - Complimentary smores/marshmallows/cookies in the evening around the fire pit - Really cute, woodsy setting and not your average dingy wood cabin Cons - No more breakfast since covid - No AC though the ceiling fan worked decently - Room is on the smaller side as compared to a hotel room There have allegedly been bear sightings on the premises, so that could be a pro or a con depending on your perspective :D

Yelp
I stayed here with my girlfriend while on a fall color road trip. Loved it!!!! But equally as important as they stay there, the staff helped me weeks later deal with Expedia. NOTE: NEVER, EVER USE EXPEDIA!!!! EVER! The amount of trouble I and the staff went through to get reimbursed because of a screw up was amazing. The Cedar Glen Lodge customer service is top-notch! But I digress. We loved our stay here. We had an hour before dinner reservations so we hit the hot tub! Wonderful! After dinner, we cozied up in our rustic little room. It was warm and romantic and quite simply perfect for two people who wanted to get away from city life and feel like they were camping without the suffering of camping. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and in fact, intend to! I have nothing bad to say about this place, only good! I hope you're experience is as positive as ours was!

Yelp
We just got back from a great weekend at Cedar Glen Lodge. The location was ideal to visit all the places we wanted to check out, Sand Harbor Beach, Dog Friendly beach, restaurants, hikes, etc.. The hotel staff were all very friendly, Sean, George and Liam went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. We brought our pooch on this trip, we were in room #24 and it was ideal for our dog, plenty of space! There was a small dog bed in the room but unfortunately our girl was too big to use it. We will be back in the future! --

Andrea M.

Yelp
My fiancé booked us a couple of nights at the Cedar Glen Lodge for my birthday weekend getaway. The property and cabins are super cute. Liam is such a doll. His personality is like a big ray of sunshine. He gave us a very warm welcome upon our arrival. Liam made our night last night when he gave us some s'mores fixins for the fire pit. Make sure you checkout the fire pit area. I really enjoyed just sitting in the fire pit area in the morning drinking my cup of coffee. The cabins are clean and very cozy. I love the ambiance of the property, especially the giant wind chime by the front door. Liam, thank you for making our stay so fun and wonderful. You represent the Cedar Glen Lodge very well! Keep it up, my friend!

Yelp
Expensive if you booked close to a holiday , especially booking com They will take your deposits right away. Booked at the hotels website .

Yelp
10/10 would recommend. Cabin was beautiful and clean. Grounds immaculate. I accidentally booked one night thinking I booked two, was delayed checking out as a result and Charlie the manager was incredibly gracious and helpful. We need more people like Charlie in this world! Will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We were amazed at how nice the unit we stayed in was. It was more like an apartment, with a kitchen, living room and a separate bedroom. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. We will be back!

Yelp
Just got back from an amazing stay. Great property, clean, great amenities, awesome staff. Wonderful location. Definitely will stay again

Yelp
thoroughly enjoyed my stay of three nights here. everything seemed new and high quality - the granite countertops, caphalon kitchen set, wooden tables and super comfortable couch, shower with incredible water pressure, and more. i lost one of the room keys at one point and they quickly replaced it, no questions asked or extra charges. don't anticipate doing any heavy duty cooking here as there are only two small burners, no oven, no exhaust or overhead light, and limited countertop space. once you turn the heaters on it's real easy to stay cozy in here. there are a lot of amenities like smores every night, a board game library, hot tub and pool, and a ping pong table. would happily stay here again.

Yelp
Really impressed with this hotel! Fantastic location, updated and adorable rooms, and super responsive staff. Lots of cute amenities and events like nightly firepit s'mores and a hot tub that IS ACTUALLY HOT Oh and the coffee they have out daily in the registration area is actually delicious, plus a great place to hang out & do work in.

Yelp
The cleanliness, comfort, and charm will bring you to Cedar Glen Lodge. But the special touches will make you never want to leave. This lovely lodge is located in Tahoe Vista, a quiet community on North shore. It is nestled in a little alcove across the street from the lake...but don't worry, there is private beach access. *Allen and the lovely staff provide beach chairs and floats on a first come first serve basis. There is a very nice pool and hot tub, a fire pit, and a picnic area with grills in case you would rather cook out rather than eat out. *There's ample assigned parking, and a charging station for E-cars ( too bad we couldn't bring ours from MD). *The cabin room we stayed in was very clean and very well appointed. No kitchen, but a refrigerator and microwave which we really loved. Welcome gift of bottle of red wine and local coffee. Also a cutting board and knife for bread and cheese. (We were even brought/gifted fresh bread one afternoon). The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a jetted tub/shower combo. There was A/C and even an electric fireplace The bear themed decor is cute and adds to the rustic feel. My only suggestion is to get "top down" shades to allow both natural light and privacy in the cabin. *Aside from the two rows of well maintained cabins, there's a lodge with motel style rooms toward the back of the property. Friendly staff make their rounds around the property often to check to ensure everything is operating well and safely. And they are very helpful if you need suggestions for what to see/do, or just fresh towels. COVID has put a pause on the continental breakfast and daily maid service, but they will take away trash and re used towels. We live quite a distance away, but would return in a heartbeat to N. Tahoe and Cedar Glen Lodge!

Yelp
We stayed at Cedar Glen Lodge this past weekend, and while we enjoyed our stay, we were utterly unimpressed with the manager. We were booked to stay three nights, and made a decision to shorten our stay due to the storm and weather advisory which suggested that we leave on Sunday (otherwise we would not be able to leave until Weds due to 4- 11 inches in snowfall). We left around 3:30 pm, and prior to leaving we stopped by the office to inquire if we could be partially (not fully) refunded for the night we were not staying, and we were told they would take a note and the manager would connect with us. Fast forward three days, the manager calls us and states how there is no way to refund us, not even partially, but he would consider comping us for a night if we were to stay again for three nights during a slow season (fourth night would be free). He then stated that they have a very friendly, flexible policy etc. and obviously never listened anything we had stated which was that we were worried about the well- being of our child, and worried that we would be stuck there with no ability to come home in time. Comp night or no, I would never spend another penny in a place where the manager is the first person who needs to improve customer service skills.

Yelp
Gorgeous place such a cost and rustic vibe. Free bottle of wine with the room! Free parking and very accommodating with early check in. Really appreciated the niceties and they pay close attention to covid rules. All in all made a great trip even greater.

CJ D.

Yelp
Please use Caution when booking this property. Their cancellation policy is far more severe than most any I have encountered as an experienced traveler. They will keep an entire night's deposit regardless of how far advance if you have to cancel - even 6, 7, 9 months in advance... and it's not a credit for future stay, only forfeiture. There are plenty of other properties and small hotels in the area that do not have this uncommon policy.

Yelp
Loved our Stay!!! We visited last week. It is the off season so there were only a couple other people staying at the Lodge. The wine bar is closed, so they left a nice bottle in our room along with a complimentary bag of coffee. The fire pit was available if requested in advance. We had to call to have the pool unlocked. The lady working there was so helpful and went above and beyond to show us all the grounds and was willing to get us Ice due to the Ice machine being out of order. She was so friendly and informative. We were able to use the Hot Tub which was very clean and nice. The rooms were cozy and warm. We did not have a room with a fireplace but the wall heater was great. It was kicking out heat. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. It was such a beautiful and relaxing trip. We will definitely book here again in the future.

Yelp
My wife and I have been staying at Cedar Glen lodge for years starting in 2013 with our daughter's marriage in North Lake Tahoe when the wedding party stayed at Cedar Glen. The Lodge has gone through several owners since then, but the quality has stayed the same. Without question the best place to stay in North Lake both for lodging and a perfect location. The cabins and rooms are charming and well decorated, the staff has always been friendly and helpful. Swimming pool, Hot Tub and firepit in the evenings. It is our happy place, and we intend to continue staying there for many years to come.

Yelp
If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I did a lot of research for housing in North Tahoe and this was easily the best place to stay. Franco and staff were incredibly accommodating and welcoming. They let our family check in early, which was very helpful given the recent snowfall. Super clutch to have a Tesla destination charger! My wife and little baby girl were comfortable in our Lake View 1 BR, plenty of heat and cute touches to have a cabin feel. Leather couch was probably the most comfortable couch we've sat on in years! Everything we needed to cook small meals. In-wall heaters in every room, including bathroom. Awesome views of the lake from our room, right across the street from their own private beach. Great amenities on-site that I wish we could have taken advantage of such as their pool, hot tub, grass fields, BBQ, fire pit and s'mores, and their wine tasting! Would definitely recommend this place in a heartbeat! Thank you so much, Cedar Glen Lodge!!!

Amanda G.

Yelp
Our stay at Cedar Glen Lodge was perfect! The owners were very attentive and thoughtful! We highly recommend CGL!

Yelp
Great place to stay. Property is clean and cute. Great pool and jacuzzi. Grill you can use to cook your own food. But lots of great restaurants nearby. Nightly s'mores and amazing breakfast are delicious. Good for all ages. We brought 12, 28 to parents in their 40's and 50's. Great mini kitchen and breakfast eating nook in our cabin. Area is not overly crowded like other cities. It's cute, easy to get around and plenty of places to eat.

Yelp
We loved our stay here. Very clean and comfortable. Everyone working on site was super pleasant and helpful. Can't wait to come back and visit.

Yelp
Hubby and I had a very welcoming time at Cedar Glen Lodge. They really go out of their way to make everything comfortable. Rooms are very accomodating when it comes to comfy old yet new charm. Here you'll find it in abundance! The front desk surprised us with a french bottle of white Pascal Jolivet 2015, was wonderful! We will definately be returning!

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! In a nutshell: 1) Customer service outstanding 2) VERY clean rooms and grounds 3) Awesome amenities..including bbq, etc 4) Breakfast was great 5) Dog friendly! Will DEF. be back. Book here - you WON'T be disappointed.

Yelp
If you're looking for a perfect place to stay in North Lake Tahoe look no further!! Me and the family have been here in different cabins. And they all have a unique cozy rooms. From romantic to family rooms. We also get up early for the continental breakfast that offer quality food and pastries. Right across from the lake we enjoy coming in the summer or winter. The rooms are very clean and that's what we expect from a quality cozy cabins! They are awesome and always look forward to going.

Ash L.

Yelp
The space was clean. The supplies were well stocked. The heater was at the bottom of a wall and not marked. Once it was turned on, the room would get too warm and then there was a constant struggle to balance the temperature. There was complimentary coffee in the room but honestly there wasn't really anything "special". It was a cute cabin environment. They gave complimentary smores and we could make them around the fire pit. When asked if my husband could smoke a cigar by the pit, which is outside and away from all buildings, we were told he could smoke it by the road.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Wonderful stay. Very clean, good location and helpful staff. These photos are from the queen studio cabin #5. I would definitely stay again!

Yelp
This little lodge is great for families or couples. They have complimentary breakfast and at night they have a fire pit that they keep on and offer a basket with everything you need to make s'mores. They have a grassy field in the center of the lodge along with a pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The front desk made it easy to check in and out and they were very friendly. The rooms are spacious yet cozy. They provide dish ware and other kitchen utensils. My favorite part is how close the water is and how it's not too far of a drive to town like the local Safeway down the street which is open 24/7 or to the mountains to play in the snow. I would say the only issue for me was how parking is set up along your cabin so close to the wall and how others have to squeeze past you on the road. Other than that this worth the visit!

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were in Room 24 which is a pet friendly room in the Lodge. The Lodge is more of a motel style (although there are single cabins too). Each room in the Lodge has its own outdoor spot on the deck. We had two Adirondack chairs outside the door and a picnic table with umbrella in the front. From what we could tell, the cabins didn't have their own spot but were by the main area which had plenty of picnic tables. Each room has one parking spot. Our room was very nicely done. There was a table with four chairs for dining inside. A leather couch which folds out. The kitchenette had a large buffet style cabinet which gave a ton of extra counter space. There was a regular size fridge, two burner stove top, microwave and all of the pots and kitchenware. They had a coffee maker with coffee and filters. Our bedroom was separate with a very comfy king size bed. The bathroom had toiletries and a great massage tub. The furniture was all very nice. The place was clean. We didn't have an oven. And I don't think we had newer appliances like some of the other rooms, but they worked just fine. This place had a great view of the lake across the street. There's badminton, ping pong, putting green, pool, hot tub and sauna. There's plenty of outdoor tables and seating. They have charcoal grills and they provide the charcoal, lighter fluid, lighter and utensils. They have a fire pit which they light around sunset and they do nightly s'mores! The breakfast has some cereal options, pastries, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit, bagels, coffee and juice. Overall great experience. The owners were very sweet and helpful. Our only "gripe" was there isn't t enough info in the room descriptions. We were under the impression our room had an oven and AC. It didn't have either. We brought a decent amount of food which required the oven so we had to change our menu and go grocery shopping. Our bedroom was very warm. We didn't get any breeze through the window. They did have a box fan in the room but it didn't help too much. We will definitely come back, but next time try to get a room with AC. The oven doesn't really matter, just wish we'd known ahead of time.

Yelp
My family decided to celebrate my parents 50th anniversary at Lake Tahoe. My brother, his wife, my mom and dad, my wife, my 2 kids and myself were traveling on this trip. I was in charge of airfare, rental cars and some daily activities. My brother was in charge of lodging. When he sent me the link for cedar Glen I was skeptical. It was in a part of the lake where there wasn't much to do, all the casinos and everything are on the southern edge of the lake. I'm so glad we decided to go to Cedar Glen. Staying there made our trip perfect. We stayed in little cabins but there are also hotel style rooms. Our cabin had a living area with TV and a fold out couch, a small eating area and kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. The cabin was a great size and we had my wife and I and our 2 small kids. The kids sleep on the sofa sleeper. Our first night there, the owner (Franco)told us he would build a fire for us in their fire pit outside so we could make s'mores. What a great time! The owner was great, he engaged in some of our conversation but wasn't intrusive at all. We really felt like we were staying at a friends home. We ended up having a smore night every night the weather permitted. In the morning we would go into the lobby to a pretty decent breakfast spread. Cereal, juices, coffee, pastries and the like were available all morning. I spent almost every morning sitting at the bar table by the window eating my cereal and looking out at the beautiful view of the lake. In the evening if you chose, Franco would open up a couple bottles of wine for you to taste of have a glass from the well stocked wine bar in the lobby. There is a small restaurant inside the lobby but it wasn't open, and seating for about 25 - 30 people. The owners let us use it to have a small reunion one day and we used some of the kitchen to cook food. My wife and kids spent a lot of time in the hot tub, there is a good sized pool but it was down for repair. There is also a sauna I went in just to check out. If you are going to Lake Tahoe and want a trip away from the hustle of the south shore, I highly suggest Cedar Glen. The owners really made us feel welcome, we're very helpful and courteous. I really felt like we were staying at a friends house. Staying there really made my parents 50th anniversary a trip to rememberer.

Yelp
Most unprofessional employees I have ever had to deal with. This place may look nice, but after the experience I had I wouldn't recommend this if it were the last place on earth. The manager doesn't care about guests and employee Martha Bryan is even worse and can't handle any kind of Criticism to her place of work. These are not professional people.

Yelp
This is a great atmosphere and get away for the summer given Covid restrictions. The staffs are friendly and follow safe Covid rules. There's a kitchenette so it's helpful especially for Covid.

Yelp
We had a wonderful weeklong stay at cabin #7. The property was so cozy and delightful, with everything you need for a comfortable stay for two. It was romantic and the cabin was super clean, with great finishings and details. We really appreciated the coffee and wine left for us as a holiday gift. It's a quick walk to a small beach and there are many great restaurants and hikes within a short drive. Looking forward to our next stay at this delightful property.

Yelp
Cedar Glen Lodge was one of the best lodging experiences I've had. Our two bedroom cabin was immaculate, and beyond charming. The fire pit was homey, the pool and hot tub pristine. In addition to all of the cute touches, the staff here is amazing! Alan greeted us each morning with a smile and good advice about things to do in the area. Martha and Lisa were also extremely cordial and helpful. We will definitely be going back to Cedar Glen next time we are in Tahoe!

Pandora's A.

Yelp
Martha and the rest of the team at Cedar Glen Lodge go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful stay. The wine, bread and coffee are such a nice treat. Everything was clean and it felt there was a great deal of care. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Last minute reservation, very accommodating. Place was right across street from Lake Tahoe. Super cute, extremely clean inside, very comfortable bed, was just perfect for visiting the area for the night, glad I came across it after looking for places on Yelp. If I come back out that way, won't hesitate to stay there again.

Yelp
This review is for ownership/management and not the rooms which are pretty nice and new. Beware electric vehicle owners looking to book here thinking they can charge their car. I specifically booked here because of their Tesla charging station....I plugged in to retire to my room only to come out in the morning to find my car unplugged and plugged into another car. VERY POOR FORM. No communication with me whatsoever. When I communicated my displeasure and pointed out the fact that I felt violated and that this was the first time in 5 plus years of owning my model S that someone had done this.....ownership got defensive and offensive at the same time telling me that I don't own the place!!! Well kind sir yes I bought my room and plugged in MY CAR....you kind sir unilaterally decided it was OK to violate ME AND MY CAR by disconnecting my charge cable. Again....POOR FORM for you both for unplugging MY CAR....and for your actions following it. Can not recommend this location to any of my friends who will be staying in Tahoe.

Yelp
We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights last weekend & loved it! Our room was very clean & had everything we needed. The owner was super friendly & they offered complimentary continental breakfast which was great. Would recommend this cute place & we will be back again for sure!

Yelp
First of all, to Zim and Brett who have poor reviews you both are IDIOTS. One, I have never had any problems with ANYTHING while booking or staying at the lodge. Even the slightest concern would be immediately addressed by Alan and Martha. If you're going to nit pick about towels and the breakfast then you should pay out the ass for the resorts in the area, which in my opinion, have the same exact items at 5x the price! I also feel if you have an owner out past 11:30pm sounding an air-horn to keep a bear away from you cabin you are at a top-notch lodge. Martha goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and for me, she makes me feel like family each time my man and I stay. This is have been the 3rd year in a row that I have stayed at Cedar Glen and it still remains the cutest little and best place I have ever stayed! Every year it keeps getting better and better! I don't know how they keep topping themselves but they do :) This year Martha saw we were coming to stay and decided to upgrade us to a bigger room, no charge, no special reason, just because she and Alan are just that great! The owners are the nicest people I have ever met and were there whenever you needed ANYTHING. The first time my man and I stayed we had a problem with the tv remote, which wasn't a big deal since we were out most of the day, but we still wanted to use it the few minutes we had it on at night before bed. Martha was there to help me out in a heartbeat when I stopped by the office to ask what to do. If the biggest problem I'm going to have during a stay is dead batteries that's easy peasy to deal with. Even before the remodel Alan and Martha had yummy snacks and breakfast items for everyone in the office, which now is set out in their new office area at the bar. I like that it is all simple things, quick grab and go items mixed with cereal and fresh juice, a nice light breakfast to start the day. But if we felt up to something bigger Alan told us about the Log Cabin up the road which is also AM-AZ-ING. We were happy he let us know! I haven't gone wrong once listening to Alan and Martha's suggestions on places to visit and things to do. We had no problems keeping warm with the snows outside the room heating is great whether is a normal small room heater or a room with a small fireplace. We really enjoyed the fire-pit they had. Any time my man and I were starting it up or sitting on our own someone would walk out to ask if we needed anything. They had it all dug out so we could sit out at night and make s'mores, talk to some of the other guests, and just enjoy the calm serenity that is Tahoe. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
So, this was a place I'd figured we stay out while in the area and figured it would be a one time thing. But after the experience this weekend, we are already planning to go back to the Lake Tahoe area and will definitely want to try and book with Cedar Glen Lodge again. They went above and beyond to accommodate us. My wife and I are on a tight budget, so we could only afford one night, however on their website there is a 2 night minimum stay. No issues at all. We called the owner Martha I believe, and she helped us book a room for just one night! Then when we got to the area, we got in earlier than expected. The check in time is 4 pm. No problem again, they got us an early check in for 1 pm!I I believe the guy at the front desk was named Alan, and he was also super helpful and friendly offering us multiple ideas of places to eat and visit. He suggested we go to Squaw Valley to do the Air Tram, which was great. He also told us about this secret hike and the view was spectacular. Overall, amazing service. And we are already making plans again to go back soon. We found a forever cabin when we are in the area.

Yelp
Nice quarters, clean, and the front desk people very responsive- especially Martha. Very good morning coffee and they suggest a "secret hike" (with a view). The only thing I would suggest is the $60, each night- charge for 2 small, well behaved dogs, is excessive. Even Incline Village only charges a one-time $120 fee. Consequently, this discourages patrons, with pets, from staying here for extended visits.

Yelp
We recently stayed at Cedar Glen Lodge. Everything from the staff to the rooms were amazing. The cute cabin feel was just want our family was looking for. The grounds are nice with out door games and even s'mores are provided in the evening. We enjoyed the property and would love to return again.
