We stayed here during the shoulder (off) season. As such the breakfast options were limited. What they had was done perfectly off, see photos.

Stayed at the Yosemite view lodge about 10 minutes away and food is pretty limited in the area. We decided to try out this restaurant which is located at another hotel, and the food was great for the price. Our bartender Sandy was wonderful! You can learn all about the history of the area and the restaurant. We had the california melt and chicken tenders with onion rings. Please check them out if you’re in the area and hungry!

Daniel

Google
The 24$ breakfast here is worse than a motel 3 continental breakfast. The food was not even warmed. For charging 24$, the least they could do is purchase warming lamps. As tempting as it may be, do NOT try it. Go get a frozen meal inside the park.

Laura Kron

Google
We loved it. The food was awesome The prime rib was the best my husband said he had had in years. The only thing was I asked for a desert surprise for my husband as it was our anniversary and we never received it.

Google
Definitely wasn’t as bad as the reviews were making it, was a pretty good place for the location, dishes were big and filling, and the servers came around often and were kind. You can get in at 8:30, and eat until you’re finished, they didn’t seem to be too strict on closing.

Google
Great little spot - burgers were great, they even gave us gluten free bread for our buns! Others loved the fries and onion rings too. Quick service, fresh ingredients and kind staff.

Save yourself 24$ and eat a a banana at the park. The food here is not good or warm. Unless you want floppy bacon and sour fruit, do not eat here for breakfast.

Google
Good food at reasonable price. Quality of burger, fries, onion rings etc exceeded our expectations. They’ve a bar with proper TV and you can enjoy some live sports.

Yelp
Absolutely unappetizing diner food. The service was super slow, as there was only one waitress for the entire crowded restaurant during dinner time. The pesto pasta was nasty, as the sauce was very runny. The French fries here are probably the best thing in the menu. No wifi here at all, and no cell phone reception. We only ate here because we stayed at the hotel next door, and everything else was closed.

Yelp
Just awful. What a horrible start to our vacation in Yosemite. Frozen food and rude staff

Yelp
This review is for the breakfast buffet on July 27, and 28th 2024, dined by myself. Though it was a buffet, the staff was extremely attentive, offering more coffee, water, juice or asking how the food was. I had french toast, bacon, potato's, and biscuits and gravy. Food was very good. 1 problem, I ASSUMED, this was linked to our hotel, and was a "continental breakfast". So I left a tip, very pleased and left to my room. Hours later, I had asked for some more towels from the hotel. I see one of the restaurant staff pulled up with my towels (later found out, he works for both the restaurant and the hotel), he sees me step outside the room. I notice he gets on his phone first, talks to someone after seeing me. He finishes his call, brings me the towels, and in Spanish, weird because he does speak perfectly good English, proceeds to tell me that I didn't pay for my breakfast. Not quite sure how he knew this gabacho knew Spanish jajaja, but none the less, I was EMBARASSED to no end!!!!! I quickly asked if I could pay right now, or pay the office, or the restaurant, which he responded I could only pay the next morning at the buffet. Ughhh, how Fing embarrassing, my wife even let me have it, as it looks bad. So now, I think back, he was probably calling the supervisor of the restaurant, "hey, I found the guy who didn't pay!" was my thought process. Have I said this was embarrassing yet? I came in the next morning to make things right, I paid my bill from yesterday $24.99, and gave them a $30 tip on top of that, just to let them know I really didn't mean to skip out without paying, in which he was very grateful. I proceeded to say, I'm going to have breakfast again now, do I pay now or after. lol Had to make sure this time! I finish my wonderful breakfast and proceed to go pay. The employee said no, it's on the house. Confused as FUCK, because I really wanted to pay! lol He said he talked to his supervisor and was told I could eat on the house. I tried to pay, wanted to pay, wanted to tip, had no cash on me, but he wouldn't let me. I'm still flabbergasted! Moral of the story is, they completely understood it was just an accident, and these are very good people with high morals and ethics. Though they didn't have to comp my breakfast and was not expected, they really made me feel better knowing they understood MY mistake was a complete Fing embarrassment to me! Sincere thank you to the entire staff and the supervisor, we will be back! Remember students, this is not linked to the restaurant and is NOT a continental breakfast!

Yelp
Only place to eat at this lodge. Service was good. Salads and soup bar good. Had rib eye steak and a little tough. Good mashed potatoes. Vegetables appeared to have been frozen.

Yelp
little girl that works the front (yaretzi) needs an attitude adjustment before deciding to work customer service. find a different job if you're as miserable as you look instead of taking it out on polite and PAYING customers.

Yelp
We were here in a middle of March- off season. We never had any issues finding a place to sit, nor did we have any issues with having to wait a long time to get our food. The lady at the bar takes orders, check you out and makes your drink. For one person, getting it all done, I have no complaints about her. She was super nice and efficient. There was another lady one time that delivered your food out. They have very limited food options, so I had chicken tenders twice, and had chicken salad once. Neither weren't bad, but definitely not the best I've had. Portions of salad were large, and fries that came with chicken tenders were a lot for us to finish. I've got kids meal chicken tenders and from kids to regular chicken tenders, only difference was that you've got more fries with regular. I had no issues here except that their hours were limited to only dinner.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for breakfast while we were staying at Cedar Lodge next door. The breakfast is buffet style around $18/person. It is defiantly not worth the $18. The breakfast reminded me of something you would get for free at a Best Western or a Holiday Inn. The breakfast consists of pancakes, eggs, oatmeal, sausage, cereal, milk, and fruit. The pancakes were not that good- pretty hard overall. Everything else was pretty medioocre. Some of the pans were empty so I don't even know all the breakfast options that they have available. Only plus is our server was very nice as she was really quick to refill our coffees and waters several times throughout our meal. Only eat here if you have no other options. We were lucky to have had only one breakfast here as we had our own breakfast in our hotel room all the other mornings.

Misha F.

Yelp
We just got a simple burger here, but it was like the best burger I've had since making burgers at home on the grill years ago. They work a lot of flavor into the meat, seasoning it well, and it tasted like it was grilled over a charcoal or wood fire. It was amazing. Two thumbs up from us!
google avatar

Beatriz B.

Yelp
Grill has limited choices and not great food. I had the salad and greens were wilted and way too many onions plus olives. The chicken tenders were also very hard and too oily.
google avatar

Liza K.

Yelp
The staff was nice but I couldn't even give it 2 stars. The food is just plain awful. I understand that it's not easy to get supplies out there and supplies may be limited but really, it's bad. You're better off buying a frozen meal or something you could heat up in a microwave. It's not worth the expense. To be fair, we ate one night and didn't have a sampling of the menu.

Tom P.

Yelp
It is a simple menu and simple food. Great atmosphere, pool table and bar. Prices are great the vibe was great

Ty M.

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. The food is all prepared from frozen items and the prices are extortionate. Our meal was cold and the salad bar only had iceberg lettuce with some odd toppings. The staff was slow and didn't seem to know what was happening.
google avatar

Yelp
A racist institution with the worst service I've ever experienced. Charged us for items they didn't bring and then accused us of having an "attitude" for wanting the charges taken off. Absolutely terrible food on top of it all. Come here if you want to wait a ridiculously long time for cold, cheap, and practically inedible fare.

Yelp
Came here on August 2010 for breakfast buffet with my mom as we stayed at Cedar Lodge. This is the only choice for breakfast....... $11 breakfast buffet for adult, include coffee/tea/juice - the price is not too bad.... The restaurant is spacious and clean.... scrambled egg - 3 stars scrambled egg with tomato & cheese - 3.5 stars biscuit - tasty, 4 stars gravy - blend, 3 stars coffee - just okay, 3 stars sausage - not salty and quite moist - 4 stars bacon - hard and salty - 2 stars potato cubes - tasty, 4 stars it also offers toast, French toast, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, pancake, etc.... will come for breakfast if staying at Cedar Lodge again.....

Yelp
I was here the 15th and 16th and had both breakfast and dinner at the restaurant. The service in the morning was pretty abrupt and almost rude but the staff seemed young and kinda ghetto. We had the breakfast buffet and I had no complaints over it, it was hot and good. We ate dinner here on Saturday night after hiking the Mist Trail and we were both starving. We ordered the hamburger platter and vegetable medley. The hamburger was easily one of the best ones I had tasted. I was a bit skeptical of this place due to bad reviews but I figure some people are just nitpicky divas that expect 5 star treatment when none is due them. The fries were to die for and the medley was yummy (I stole a bite). The service was good even though the place was insanely busy. Definitely take the bad reviews with a grain of salt and have the burger after a day of hiking.

Yelp
Terrible food, staff was nice but took forever to take our order and tab us out. And it is extremely expensive. DO NOT go here.

Yelp
Oh boy. Even front desk people were not enthusiastic when recommended me to have dinner at this place. My fish tasted like an old rag, my boyfriend's steak was miserable - he had to cover it with A1 sauce to eat. We did eat soup and salad - so I had that going for me. And scotch. We also had a bottle of wine in the room waiting for us, so at least I got a nice treat later :)

Yelp
$16.95 for breakfast and that was at least $7 too much! Our free breakfast the morning before at our hotel was better. But I understand with it being a tourist area and with other options in the area they can charge whatever they want. The $16.95 price gets you buffet style which consists of fruits, pastries, cereal, bread, pancakes, sausage, bacon, oatmeal, granola, and two kinds of scrambled eggs, plain or cheesy, veggie style. Pancakes, dry and a little hard around the edges. Plain scrambled eggs, a little too overcooked for my liking. The cheesy, veggie style was good because at least they had some flavor. Sausages were inedible, limp and cold. Bacon, pick the right slice an it was fine. Fruit was good and in season so no issues there. Our server. Abel, was very friendly and answered some tourist questions we had even though he didn't help in calming my fears about rafting. Lol. I would give him 5 stars! .

Yelp
This place was okay. We opted to take our food back to the hotel since it was so loud in the restaurant. If you had a craving for fried food, this is the place to go. It's great for the area but just okay in my book.

Yelp
The setup was a little awkward when I came in to grab a bite and beer after 8pm on Saturday night. After a full day of hiking & climbing Half Dome, I just wanted an easy meal and good beer to boot, so I entered at the restaurant entrance. Upon entering, the bartender usher me to "pub" side (both are combined) where you order from a counter, separate from the bar. If you want a drink, you have to go back to the bar to place that second order. My food order surpassed my expectations. Nothing too fancy on the menu - sandwiches, burgers, etc. No surprise paying $12 for the barbeque chicken breast sandwich, but at least it was tasty. It was a simple sandwich, chicken breast, lettuce, onion, pickles and tomato (sauce on the side) and was really good. The meat was still juicy and the bread had some life. The barbeque sauce looked a little suspect with it's reddish complexion, though it had great flavor and worked well with the accompanying thick cut fries. There were plenty of good bottled and draft beers at bar to choose from, though probably one of most absent minded bartenders I've encountered. The service was straight up shitty. The bartender kept running in out of the bar, leaving it unmanned, as I and a few other waiting to get drinks. When I finally ordered, it took nearly 15 minutes from start to finish to order, pay, get change for my tip, and finally receive, not for a draft, but for a bottled beer. Maybe an off night at the bar, but the food was solid for what they offer. Worthwhile to stop in for a bite for a sit down place near Yosemite.

Yelp
TIPS: The restaurant is WAY over priced and not worth it. The bar serves the SAME food. Sit at the bar and the nice bartender will take your burger order and get you beer while you watch sports. There. A perfectly fine only slightly overpriced dinner. And you can stumble back to your room if need be. AND take your drinks to go.

Yelp
Well, it's not like we had much of a choice for restaurant, and honestly, the food wasn't too bad, despite the fairly expensive price. After a long day's hike in Yosemite, we all wanted steaks, so we chose the nearest restaurant available (as we were staying at the motel). My first impression was that the host was extremely loud, obnoxious, and rude to the customers. I understand he was probably under stress, but he was obviously rude to some French and Indian customers where English wasn't their first language. The overall service was a bit slow as well with fairly unattentive servers. With that said, the food wasn't as bad as I thought. Each steak came with the unlimited salad/soup bar option that was stocked pretty well. It's always a bad sign when they bring out the steaks along with A1 sauce without us asking. I wasn't expecting prime steakhouse quality, so I wasn't disappointed, but it was just something to note of the quality to expect.

Yelp
We were subjected to eating here for two days in a row because we had no other options. One night we ate in the Emerald room and the only thing redeeming about this meal was the salad bar. Unfortunately, you must order their overpriced and underqualitied entrees to get your hands on the all you can eat greenery. I had the pesto chicken fettuccine which tasted like something I make, not restaurant quality. My boyfriend's steak ($27) had a funny taste to it. No one else at our table liked their food. The second night we ate at the bar and grill which had almost the same thing as the emerald dining room, but a lot cheaper. You can go to the salad bar one time for $5 too, which was awesome. But the food is still subpar. Luckily, on the third night, by the time we got back to the lodge, it was after 10pm and they were closed (yes everything closes at 10) so we ended up eating microwaved frozen food from the lodge's grocery store. We were actually a lot happier with our microwaved cheeseburger and meatloaf sandwich from that grocer. If you want other options at this side of the park, you're probably better off going to the grocery story and buying a loaf of bread and some ham and cheese. Thankfully, every room comes with a fridge. Hey, you're at a national park full of rocks and some greenery that's yellow and ready to catch on fire, I guess you're lucky to be eating.

Yelp
So after reading others reviews I was interested in what I'd find out. I stayed for 4 nights at the hotel, two nights I ate at the restaurant and one night in the bar. The first night in the restaurant I ordered the Ahi tuna steak. Overall the meal was good, the tuna was a bit overdone for me, but not enough to ruin it and the sauce was very good. The rice pilaf was some of the best I've ever had and the veggies were very good, all for $22 including salad bar. I was disappointed with the small $9 glass of wine though! Day two I ate in the bar, kind of noisy. The staff as in the first night was very good. I ordered the battered Halibut filets. It came with fries, cole slaw and two filets. At first I thought "only two". OK I could barely finish them both! Once again this meal was very good, the only draw back were the fires were a bit greasy. But I got out of there, having a Coke, for a total over $15. Night three back to the restaurant, I wanted prime rib! So back to the restaurant, I had a different waitress on this night, bummer! So I ordered the 140z prime rib with mashed potatoes, veggies, salad bar and a bottle of wine. I'm gonna say right off the bat, my waitress pissed me off tonight. So I go to the salad bar, disappointing tonight, the salad was turning brown, that's a turn off for me, but I ate some anyways. I was basically though with my salad before my waitress arrived with my wine. She had not been on the floor during that time doing anything. So I get the wine. A few minutes later another waitress, the one I had the first night, brings my prime rib to me. OK it looks OK, except I realize, there's no way this is 14oz! See the photo. So I dig into the edge of it, tasty, but it's not even warm. It's like it's at room temperature and the plate is cold. 5 minutes into it the waitress appears and asks if it's alright and I say yes. Why had I done that? So I wanted to correct myself with her but never saw her again until my meal was done and she brought the check. The whole time I was there she was in the waitresses cubby hole talking with someone, overall they seemed unprofessional and not paying attention to her customers. So as my meal goes on my food is cold, the meat is getting tougher and less tasty and I'm fuming more and more. The potatoes and veggies were good though! So basically I had a bad/small prime rib, poor service, old salad. All this reflected on her tip believe me! Would I eat there again? Yes, but chose what I get carefully and make sure everything was done right or complain. Also get the young blonde, cute waitress, she's friendly plus nice to look at. And not the older inattentive brunette. I would have given a 4 for my overall experience, but the last night dropped it to a 2.

Yelp
This was my 2nd experience with Cedar Lodge. The first time ( 4 years ago?) I was camped nearby and we didn't feel like cooking so we gratefully ate at the Cedar Lodge. The meal was unmemorable diner food but it did the basic job. No complaints Today was different. I had a terrible experience that was not about the food, but about the treatment we received as African Americans attempting to eat at the Lodge on our way into Yosimite. Today I experienced the most blatant racism I've experienced in more than a decade. We were essentially refused service and treated very rudely by the woman that seemed to be in charge of the dining room. The waitress and the customer present seemed highly embarrased by our treatment and directed us down the road to the next restaurant. There are other choices in the area, so I say to visitors of color - SPARE YOURSELVES FROM THIS UNPLEASANTNESS AND EAT SOMEWHERE ELSE. THIS MEDIOCRE RESTAURANT IS NOT A TREASURE AND THEY WILL NOT VALUE YOUR PATRONAGE AS THEY SHOULD.

Yelp
The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars instead of the 1 that it deserves is because the food (except the salad bar) wasn't God-awful. And we received free dessert because the waitress forgot it the first time I ordered it. Always expect 15 minutes to wait before being seated - fine, not unbearable. However, having to wait over 10 minutes after being seated before the water girl or a server even looks at you is unbearable. Sometimes there's water and bread waiting at the table, sometimes there isn't even silverware yet. If you ask a busperson for silverware, she'll just look at you, not really acknowledge you and walk away (low hiring standards?), leaving you to ask another table for their spare silverware. We overheard another table complain and the "water girl" who comes around and just refills water - (hello, can you train everyone to pour water, you'll get an extra server out of it and fewer complaints!) said it was "management's fault" - which I can understand. The adjacent bar/lounge seems to be poorly run as well, but we didn't eat there. The salad bar is pitiful. I don't know what they think lettuce is but if it's limp, clear-colored and/or brown, I guess that's it. I guess since it's free you get what you pay for. Everything is over-priced for sure. Unfortunately Cedar Lodge has the monopoly in this area unless you bring all your own food. We should have tried ordering to-go.

Josie G.

Yelp
Sad experience. Took an extremely long tim to get a water, order food, let alone receive the food that was served cold. The prices were very high for a meal that was reheated frozen food. Just avoid.

Michael J.

Yelp
Not too bad, glad it was there since the next nearest restaurant was a few miles away. Food was decent. We ordered a basket of fries (which tasted like the frozen kind, though I can't blame them) and an unlimited salad bar. Salad tasted fresh. Sat at the bar and had good service, even though it was particularly busy that night. Good variety of draft beers available. Overall the only negative thing here was the price, which I think they can charge because it's the only place around.
google avatar

Jeremy G.

Yelp
Meh, this isn't the greatest option, but it seemed like the only thing around. I would suggest spending more time in the bar than the restaurant. The bar tender was very friendly and the beer was great. We didn't order more than the buffalo wings from the bar, but I'm sure the food would have been better than the Emerald Room restaurant. The Emerald Room restaurant was not so good. The food was only okay and the prices were really expensive. I paid about $20 for a simple pasta marinara dish which had more marinara sauce then pasta noodles. It was almost like having a marinara soup. Definitely not worth the money. The breakfast was so-so. The buffet had a lot of options, but nothing was really amazing. The only redeeming qualities are: * The bathrooms are a wee bit nicer than the campground next door. * You can park there and walk across the highway to the river, which is great for swimming on a hot day.

Guy S.

Yelp
The food was excellent. Very good waitresses and very kind staff. I would recommend to come to this place.
google avatar

Lou S.

Yelp
Probably one of the worst meals I have ever had. I would have rather gone hungry than eat the rock hard frozen chicken breast that was served to me. This place hit the jackpot with its location because they get a lot of business solely based on the fact that they are just outside the Arch Rock Entrance of Yosemite, but they do not know the first thing about running a decent restaurant. Also, the host seems like like he hates his job and makes you feel like he is doing you a favor by seating you. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Timothy G.

Yelp
Stopped here with my parents after visiting Yosemite. First the service was terrible. It took us 30 minutes to flash down a waitress and the restaurant was half empty. Apparently, she was just chilling in the back room. When we finally ordered we all got burgers. I not sure which burgers my parents ordered, but I essentially ordered a mushroom and swiss burger. When it arrived, it was just a well done burger with cheese on WHITE BREAD! No onions, no sauce, just cheese, meat and what I can only guess is wonderbread for $14. My parents burgers were equally disappointing. We felt pretty ripped off and wished we would've drove all the Mariposa for better good.

Yelp
I sat down for breakfast at the restaurant once and it was pretty good. Certainly good enough for what it is, a quick breakfast right at the hotel. I loved the Bar/Grill. I went over there for a few beers and some food after I got out of the park every evening. They always put at least one TV on either the Red Sox or Celtics for me (Im from Boston). The Food was good, both bartenders that were there were friendly as were the other people there. It was a very enjoyable way to unwind after a long day of hiking. The hotel is definitely the cheapest with close distance to the park and this put it over the top. If I ever make it out to Yosemite again I'm almost certain I will stay at the same place and repeat my pattern of hanging out at the bar for a while.

Nina M.

Yelp
This review is for the Bar and Grill portion of the place. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! left hungry, upset, and angry. We were a group of three, arrived at 7:00pm and ordered with the waiter. At 7:50, the waiter came to take our order again because the order had gotten lost and he had no idea what we had ordered in the first place with him (note that we asked him at least twice to check on our order). He asked us if we still wanted to put the order... and that we could get a 10% discount. We asked him to call the manager and the manager never bothered to come.... They have no respect for their clients' time and experience. HATED IT!

Sebastian P.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant two times during our stay at the Lodge nearby. 1st time: The buffalo wings (starter) are really good. The burger (angus beef) are ok, although the bread was too sweet and the meat to less salty and spicy for our taste. The fries were excellent. The waiter was a little bit slow, but friendly. The price was ok. 2nd time: We took the buffalo wings again and got one more. The fries were excellent once again. The Canyon Fish plate was mediocre. The fajita wrap was really good and spicy. One person ordered a chicken sandwich and got a turkey sandwich which was mediocre. One person ordered chicken filets which were good, but were served with the wrong sauce. We never got a refill although it was stated otherwise in the menu. The waitress visited our table in 45 minutes only 3 times. The last time she threw some of the bones of the wings on the floor and didn't pick them up. Overall the food was mediocre to good, the service was worse.

Yelp
This place has a diner And a restaurant.... This review is for the restaurant. The cedar house restaurant is suppose to be fine dining... Hence the 20 dollar And up price with includes a full salad and soup bar. However the food is more like a 70's TV dinner. My girlfriend and I both got the chicken marsala which was terrible and definitely not worth the 23 dollars it's was priced at. The potatoes we're bland... The chicken not properly cooked and some weird gravy that was maybe a poorly done white wine reduction. It came with steam veggies but I think more to fill up plate space instead of actually being edible. I was kinda upset. All together our bill was about 50 dollars. For really disgusting food. The server was nice and so I didn't have the heart to tell her how bad the food was. Avoid this place and save your money... Or just order the cheeseburger.

Yelp
My experience was about the same as the other reviews. The restaurant closes to early for being a place near Yosemite. Hikers want to see the sun set and then dine. All of the servers, and employees avoided eye contact with us and couldn't even come ask for our drink order. We eventually got food but it wasn't worth the cost.

Yelp
We went here because everything in the Valley was full, and it was a huge mistake. First, I did not want to eat from the salad bar because I could tell the vegetables were not fresh. Then there were flies buzzing around our table and landing in our food. We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip appetizer, which was brought to us on a bed of half-rotted lettuce. Then the entrees came. I ordered the lasagna, and what they brought me was a big messy soup thrown over some boiled vegetables. I couldn't even see a typical structure between the severely overcooked noodles. I sent it back. The waitress asked me if I wanted something else, and kept asking if I wanted to see a menu. I said I would just have the prime rib, which my husband ordered. She apparently didn't understand me, and instead of asking for clarification, asked me if I wanted a side. I assumed she meant what side did I want with the steak. Instead, she just brought me a plate of french fries, and that was apparently all I was getting. My husband's steak looked grey, as if it had been boiled and then thrown on a cooktop. There was no char or caramelization at all. He could barely eat it. After bringing the fires, the waitress copped a major attitude. She was short, busy chatting with her friend and unattentive, and rude to the end. Did I mention that this was my birthday? I was so upset I asked to talk to the manager, who told me he saw the plate and agreed it wasn't really edible, but that the waitress told him I said I didn't want anything else. He only offered to "talk to them about it", and then said "I know our lasagna isn't the best". Are you kidding me? You take absolutely no pride in the place you are supposed to be running? We had already paid, almost $50 for a disgusting prime rib, two cokes, and an appetizer. Unreal. He did not offer to refund us, or anything else. I was so upset at this point the shock of his total lack of real care rendered me speechless. I was so angry about being served such disgusting food in such an uncaring way that I actually began to cry. We then drove 7 miles down the road to the Yosemite View Lodge and got a fresh pizza. Worth the wait. The next morning, we drove to the Evergreen Lodge and had a beautiful breakfast, no wait, for less than we paid for that disgusting meal. NEVER eat anywhere the manager cares so little for what they serve. DO NOT eat here. Not only was it horrible food, horrible service, and horrible prices, this usually equals totally unsafe and will ruin your vacation. If they don't take pride in it, stear clear. Go ANYWHERE else, or at least pack up some sandwiches and chips.

Yelp
Considering the lack of quality restaurants outside of Mariposa and Yosemite, the food here is pretty good. The children's menu has awesome grilled cheese sandwiches. The pink lemonade was also tasty. The decor and cleanliness of the restaurant was worth stopping in. The negative side were that the prices high.

Yelp
I order food to go and they took - literally - one hour to get it done. My girlfriend was at our hotel room waiting for me and the food and she thought something had happened to me. When they - finally - brought my food, I expect an apology and maybe a discount for the wait (that happened before at another place), the waitress gave me the check without saying a single word. I asked about the delay but she pretended everything was just OK. She was arrogant answering my questions. The food was OK, but the burger was over done, almost burnt. It was the only down side in my weekend at Yosemite. Next time I'm choosing someplace else.

Yelp
Great place for breakfast conveniently located near Yosemite National Park. I was returning from an all night photography trip and stopped by to have b'fast when very few restaurants were open nearby. Good food, attentive service and clean interiors.

Yelp
This review is for the bar and grill area only. All I can say is I don't think my group and I could have had more disgusting food. Everything from the over fried fish bricks they sold to the bland burger. And it's relatively pricey. I don't understand how a place can serve food like that. I guess it's because there are basically no other places to choose from. One positive thing that I will say is that it was fun watching each other eat this inedible food. We laughed so hard. I wish I had pictures.

Yelp
We arrived at around 9pm after a long day in Yosemite and were eager to finally eat dinner. However it was quite a busy night with other folks coming in from the park as well, so we ended up waiting half an hour to be seated and another hour for our food to come. The food was surprisingly tasty (I ordered the vegetable medley, and also sampled some of the fish and chips) though that may be part of the hunger and fatigue speaking. Friendly staff, don't blame them for the slow service because they were doing everything they could to get us our food, but management in general, especially on busy nights, needs to be reconsidered.

Yelp
My wife and I had breakfast at the Cedar House Restaurant on Feb 25, 2017. The breakfast was buffet-style, all you can eat for $13.95. Our server, Juan, was extremely helpful. There was a good selection of foods, fruit, pastries, toast, pancakes, oatmeal, omelettes, yogurt, scrambled eggs, link sausage, bacon, granola, etc. Everything we tried was tasty and (except for the link sausage at the top of the serving bowl) warm. I would go back and I would recommend their breakfast to friends.

Yelp
Be Warned! This place is beyond mediocre! It might look nice when you walk in but it is anything but! Terrible terrible food! Everything tasted and looked like it came from a can or from a freezer bag. And even half the items were not available on the Menu! Who does that! Breakfast Buffet was atrocious! Their fruit salad was terrible, defiantly a Monsanto product from a can. Waffles were defiantly frozen and reheated the eggs dry and unappetizing. Dinner was not even better, half of the items were not available like I said earlier. I decided to get a Caesar Salad and by golly that salad was more like a soup! Everywhere I go I have never had a Caesar Salad that was drenched in dressing! They call this fine dining, I call this a Joke! If you stay at the Cedar Lodge spend more money on your stay and get a room with a kitchenette or eat before you leave the Valley floor. I even tried to get the manager but he apparently didn't care! He was to busy flirting with his staff than about the care of his establishment. Terrible just plain terrible! If you want to charge me outrageous rates for your food, I expect it to be edible! If i could give 0 stars I would! Do not eat here even if your life depends on it!

Yelp
There are not many choices for food at this time of year. This was the only restaurant open for breakfast. The sister facility, Yosemite view lodge, served dinner. The breakfasts are on the expensive side but portions were generous. The manager's special, open faced bagel with diced tomato, ham, egg and avocado was great. Hash brown was generous. Hubby has regular breakfast with eggs, hash brown and country ham. Ham was a large portion. Spent $43 for breakfast for 2 but it filled us until dinner

Yelp
I honestly can't add anything else that others haven't already said. Just don't. The bar (open for dinner only) was horrible food. The breakfast buffet was the only option. The food was cold and overcooked. The staff was horrible.

Yelp
Bad food and the worst service ever. The older lady actually rolled her eyes and tsk'd me...TWICE! First I told her it was just me waiting to be seated...this annoyed her because only tables for 4 were open. This was somehow my fault.. The second time I told her I didn't want a refill of coffee nor another trip to the buffet. I got it again I just stared at her and left $0 tip. Our dinner service was sub-par and we had to beg for refills .
