Celajes Restaurant Monteverde

The restaurant is beautiful and the staff are super friendly. We had the trout salada, the burger and the steak sandwich. Everything was really good but I strongly recommend the steak sandwich

Firstly, the main thing you come for, the food is 10/10 — we were really impressed. Unfortunately the service is slow and a little haphazard, it just seemed quite disorganised. One starter arrived and the other came 10 mins later, for example. Everyone is super friendly though and the live band were fantastic. When our desserts came, we were bowled over, absolutely delicious. A great experience all in all.

We found this hidden gem inside a tucked away resort on a hill. We dined on their patio that had terrific views of the cloud forest. Our server(Fio?) was so kind and helpful. The beers were real good and the nachos and steak sandwich delicious. We enjoyed the relaxation of listening to the rainfall and relaxing after a long hike. Stop here and enjoy!

Great food and wonderful service. Celebrated my 50th here(they even gave me dessert for free). Great choices of food. We were there in evening but seemed to have great views for daytime as well. Beautifully decorated. Easy to find.

Beautiful setting with sunset views. I definitely recommend catching a cocktail and sunset dinner here I loved the mountain lodge feel. Wish the outside had slightly more table lighting for once it was dark but still romantic. The Bar was very nice with fresh herbs for cocktails House bread and butter was a nice addition Smoke clams white sauce very tasty but a very small portion Beef tenderloin was just alright didn’t enjoy the corn tortilla would’ve been better with another vegetable since it came with a strong green and carrots.. Potatoes would’ve been nice Lastly ordered the tamale dessert and it was delicious. The hotel seemed beautiful and there was lots of parking for us to come for our dinner reservation. A great option compared to the downtown strip for food

We came here to celebrate my birthday. The ambiance is top notch. Sadly we missed the sunset but we still had a bit of light when we got there, and the view was beautiful! Make sure you sit outside overlooking the forest. The cheese and vegetable board we ordered as an appetizer was sooo good (it seems that the majority of their ingredients are farm-to-table, so even the cheese was homemade!). The entrees were good but not amazing. Our server was very nice but the service was slightly slow at least on the night when we went. It was a great experience overall though and we would definitely go back, especially for some drinks and appetizers overlooking the forest. We’ll hopefully be back at some point in the future!

This was hands down the best meal we had on our entire trip to Costa Rica! Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. The view is gorgeous, and we got to sit outside during a lightening storm to boot. Service is wonderful, and they do a really good job from start to finish. We will most definitely be back again!

Perfectly cooked steak, very good quality beef and the chef knew how to serve the absolute best medium rare. The price is reasonable considering the view and service. The happy hour cocktails and tacos are also worth the drive up.
