Our Readers' Favorite Mega-ship Ocean Cruise Lines of 2023

"Celebrity Cruises drew raves from readers for innovative new ships such as Celebrity Beyond, which entered service in 2022. “A design showstopper,” said one voter, who liked “the new Daniel Boulud restaurant on board, the new nightlife options, and the Sunset Bar, which has a Caribbean-meets-Mediterranean feel.”" - Travel + Leisure Editors

These Cruise Lines Are Ending Vaccine Requirements

"The Miami-based cruise line dropped vaccination requirements for passengers—unless their cruise itinerary stops at ports in destinations that require the inoculation. Its pre-boarding tests requirements have also been scaled back. Children under 5 leaving the U.S. or under 12 leaving Europe also don’t need to test. Celebrity’s Healthy at Sea page makes it easy to track the specific requirements based on your cruise’s itinerary."

The Future of Cruise Ship Food and Dining | Eater

"The line reports it is collaborating with leading epidemiologists to develop evidence-based best practices for dining and operations and is cautious about announcing fixed policies until scientific guidance stabilizes, reflecting a desire to balance safety with guest expectations." - Naomi Tomky

Meet the Women Who Travel Advisory Board

"As the first woman to hold the title of president and CEO at a major cruise line, Lisa Lutoff-Perlo continues to lead multi-billion-dollar brand Celebrity Cruises and its more than 20,000 employees throughout the world. Using her more than 30 years of hospitality experience, Lutoff-Perlo has focused on creating a diverse, high-performance team, and has challenged the company to improve its women-to-men staff ratio on, both on land and at sea. Cursing to New Zealand on the Celebrity Edge and I couldn’t be any happier, the service has been first class. The ship is modern and well appointed, the staff go out of their way to go that extra mile and the food is spot on. I would definitely recommend traveling on the Celebrity Edge if you get a chance. The rooms with the infinite balconies are such a good idea and give you that extra space.

I've read the reviews, and I can honestly say that we enjoyed everything about our cruise ship. Now, the excursion in St. Kitts not so much. However, the ship Apex was extremely clean, the staff were really nice, and the food variety was plentiful.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on the Celebrity Silhouette for a four-night Caribbean cruise for our honeymoon!! We picked Celebrity in search of something that felt sophisticated and not overly rowdy and it certainly delivered. We did the Retreat, and our stateroom was incredibly comfortable and roomy -- I didn't expect a cruise stateroom to be so roomy. The food everywhere was amazing -- we visited Le Petit Chef, which was a fun and cute experience, and the Oceanview Cafe (the buffet) multiple times -- and we always enjoyed the food. What stands out the most, though, is how supremely friendly and attentive the staff were. The staff would trip over themselves to make sure we were happy and comfortable -- and they did it with authenticity and genuine eagerness. This amazing service was unlike anything we've experienced anywhere else. We will definitely be doing another Celebrity cruise and we would highly recommend!!

Our recent 5-day Celebrity cruise was a delight. The culinary experience was excellent, with a wide variety of exquisite dishes that catered to every taste. The craft cocktails were expertly mixed and provided a perfect way to unwind each evening. The entire trip was a blend of relaxation and indulgence, making it a memorable vacation with good friends.

Our recent Bahamas cruise was outstanding. We left on reflections and was set to go to the Florida keys Coco Caye and the Bahamas. Unfortunately due to hurricane Milton we only made the Bahamas, no fault of the cruise line weather happens. That being said the food was excellent including the formal dining and the buffet. The staff was amazing and the entertainment from stand up comedian Monique Marvez to the singers the variety shows, the Marriage games, bingo and all the dancing the cruise was worth every penny.

I recently embarked on a journey with Celebrity Ascent and can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment we boarded, the level of service and attention to detail was outstanding. The ship's modern and elegant design provided a luxurious atmosphere that made our stay incredibly comfortable. The dining options were impressive, offering a variety of cuisines that catered to every palate. The quality of the food was consistently high, with fresh ingredients and creative dishes that made each meal memorable. The specialty restaurants were particularly noteworthy, providing an intimate and unique dining experience. The onboard entertainment exceeded my expectations, with a diverse range of shows, live music, and activities that ensured there was never a dull moment. The theater productions were of Broadway quality, and the live musicians were incredibly talented. Our stateroom was spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of keeping everything immaculate and were always friendly and accommodating.

This cruise was amazing! I was on a 5 day cruise that traveled to Key West, Bimini Island, and Nassau from Fort Lauderdale. I've been on a cruise before, and it doesn't compare to this one. There were so many activities: pool volleyball, bocce challenge, mini macrame, dot painting, outdoor movies, line dancing, spa, HIIT workouts, yoga, trivia, game shows, seminars, casino, bars, bingo, comedy, musicals, magic show, hypnotist, and many more! The food was so good in the buffet and in the Opus Dining Hall. My waiters were so kind and helpful. Everyone is so nice and the activities help you meet a lot of new, great people. Shout out to the cruise director, Luigi to making this experience amazing and so much fun! My favorite part was the family friendly comedy with Tony Esposito and Captain Kirk's rock concert. The ride was very smooth and I could barley feel the cruise moving. I would definitely recommend Celebrity Cruises for future vacations!

We are on the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship from Singapore to Hong Kong via Thailand and Vietnam. This is not the newest cruise ship with all the up-to-date activities and entertainment. But the food and services are top quality compared to most cruise ships. The ship is in Vietnam at this time. The weather is still very hot but gets cooler every day when the ship goes north. I enjoy this ship. I'm sure I'll book another Celebrity cruise vacation again soon!
