Cellai Boutique Hotel

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and made me feel right at home. They were attentive and always available to assist with any requests, which made my stay so much more enjoyable. The rooms were spacious, well-appointed, and exceptionally clean, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was cozy, and I had a fantastic night’s sleep every night. One of the standout features of this hotel is its stunning rooftop terrace. The views from up there are breathtaking, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a busy day. Whether it was enjoying a morning coffee or watching the sunset with a cocktail in hand, the terrace provided a peaceful escape with an amazing ambiance. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The combination of great rooms, friendly staff, and that beautiful rooftop terrace made this hotel a standout choice. I’ll definitely be back!

Loved this hotel. A warm and helpful reception when we arrived just before midnight. Excellent room that was spotless, large and quiet. Plenty of choice at breakfast. It was busy but the staff were excellent at clearing/cleaning tables, bringing in food and topping up coffee/juice/water. All very efficient! Staff throughout the hotel from cleaners to receptionists were friendly. Reception also happy to help with local information. Location of the hotel is great too just a short walk from San Marco square, Duomo, etc with good eating options within a 10 minute walk. Highly recommended.

Excellent four night stay, with all our needs catered for. Our room, 327, was large, clean, with a spacious shower room and hot running water. The service was dedicated from the domestic, catering, bar to reception to ensuring our stay was comfortable and that we discovered the delights of the city, which was easy to explore on foot from the hotel. There is a bus stop just metres away and the tranway only a short walk to the local piazza. It wasn't difficult to find a good restaurant nearby

Hotel Cellai offers a unique and eclectic experience that we enjoyed overall. The various seating areas, each with its own vibe and thoughtfully selected furniture, added character to the space. The coffee table books were a delightful touch, and the gallery lighting over the artwork enhanced the atmosphere. The bartender was exceptionally friendly and crafted excellent cocktails, making the bar experience memorable. The room itself was comfortable, with cozy beds and mirrors that visually expanded the space. The recently updated shower provided a hot, relaxing experience. We appreciated the attractive breakfast display and the option to take breakfast to go, which came in handy for our early start. The rooftop area was a nice feature, even though we didn’t stay long due to the cold weather. Additionally, the location was convenient, close to the train station, restaurants, and bus station for tours, which made getting around easy. The later checkout time of 11 a.m. was also a welcome perk. While the hotel has charm, it’s important to set expectations-it’s an older property that shows wear in places. The baseboards, hallways, carpets, and walls could benefit from a refresh, as they looked worn and had noticeable dings and scrapes. The overall scent of the hotel was not pleasant, which detracted from the experience. Plumbing inconsistencies, particularly with the toilet not flushing reliably and a lingering odor, were stressful and need addressing. The noise levels were also significant; the walls and doors are thin, so you’ll likely hear your neighbors and the doors opening and closing. Bringing earplugs is recommended for light sleepers. Lastly, we were not offered a tour or information about amenities at check-in, which felt like a missed opportunity to make us feel more welcomed and informed. While the hotel sent a survey after our first night to inquire about our stay, we didn’t notice any changes or follow-up, which could have made a difference. If you appreciate charm and can look past some of the wear and noise, this hotel may be a good option for its location and character.

This hotel is one of the coolest places we've ever stayed! Lots of interesting spaces throughout, and decorated in an eclectic and thoughtful way!! The bar is gorgeous and the happy hour appetizers were a plus. The rooftop terrace is also gorgeous with great views of Florence. Great service and location..easy walk to everywhere, including the train station. Would go back!!

We couldn’t have loved our stay more! A stone’s throw away from the hustle and bustle, we found this an affordable and lovely base. It was our first holiday with our newborn and the staff couldn’t have been more lovely! The room itself was comfortable and the roof terrace and bar were great. We found the breakfast options extensive and we loved that you could get espressos and cappuccinos fresh from the kitchen too. All in all, we loved our stay. Thank you to all of the staff who made it so special!

This is one of the best preserved original places of beautiful Florence and it has beed a wonderful and magic experience for my family and my group of friends. We all fell in love with its decoration and for the incredible amount of original artworks displayed everywhere. Each single area hides items decorating these beautiful spaces with harmony and elegant taste.||We loved the staff, our rooms, brekfast, all areas and the incredible terrace.|A special thank to the people that made our stay in Florence so special.||Will be bqck hopefully soon.

Very old equipment and furniture, super small room with lots of mirrors. Extremely poor sound proof. We can hear easily from corridor and upstairs. The room I got seemed not the one with bath tub I saw when I made my reservation. The flush of toilet didn’t work well. The shower room was too small to stand aside to wait for water becoming hot even though I am already very small. People who like antique style might enjoy it but not for me. However, personnel are nice and breakfast was great, but I will definitely skip it next time.
