Cellai Boutique Hotel

This is a very special hotel in a relatively quiet location just 10 mins walk from the main attractions. The staff are also very special, extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They offer an amazing breakfast, nice bar in the evenings and chill out areas. There is a lovely roof terrace where they will serve you drinks you just ring down on the phone up there. Rooms are bright and airy with extremely comfortable beds and powerful shower.

We all loved this hotel. It was clean, beautifully furnished, had lots of different seating areas which were comfortable and cosy. Breakfast had good choices. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. One of our favourite parts were the roof top seating areas (the top one had a fabulous view of the Duomo). Conveniently located, not far from the tourist sites. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel was really nice and clean and the location was perfect. My favorite part was Abdi who was always lovely and kind. He made me the most amazing latte macchiato every morning at breakfast. He remembered me every single day and brought me a delicious drink without me even having to ask. He was so sweet it was amazing meeting you!! Thank you!!! <3

Charming boutique hotel in the heart of Florence. Within walking distance to many restaurants and historic and religious sites. ||To start with, the hotel staff was rude. I was traveling with a group of friends and they refused to give my roommate and I each a key, and required us to leave the key at the desk each time we left the building. When I asked for my own key because my roommate had taken her key with her, the woman at the front desk rolled her eyes sighed. I had no way to get into my room, but she said I didn’t need my own key. ||Additionally, our room was small, but clean and efficient. However, our shower had no door or shower curtain, so every time we showered water got all over the bathroom. When I asked at the front desk, they did nothing about it. So we had to use the hand-held shower head. ||Overall, the hotel itself was okay (other than the lack of shower door), but the staff was consistently rude to me and my traveling companions. At over $200 a night, I’d expect not to receive an eye roll every time I stop at the front desk to ask for a bar of soap or a towel.

Absolutely loved this stylish, friendly boutique hotel. The rooms were spacious, beautifully decorated with quirky accessories. The bathroom was clean with minimal toiletries. Towels cganged daily. The windows had beautiful shutters, which kept the room both quiet and cool. A very calming room. |The breakfast was excellent. Plenty of fresh fruit, yogurts, a good selection of breads, along with cooked food, including scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Fruit juice and any coffee of your choice. |The reception staff were excellent, helpful and efficient. |Can really recommend this delighted, centrally located hotel.

Not safe. There was a gas smell in our room and we called down to the main floor and they sent us up a bartender. What does a bartender know and then they lied to us by saying there are only one room left and it’s a single bed so both of you won’t fit. After we got the priest involved Magically, they had two more rooms with extra beds. And once I felt unsafe that the bartender is checking on a technical issue, I started recording on my phone so that I can use this as evidence in case me and my roommate die so that our families can sue the hotel and he acted like a little girl. For what it’s worth, I would never return to this hotel.

Stayed here for 7 nights for our wedding anniversary which according to our travel agent was a four star hotel. We did not find this to be the case as calling it a boutique hotel does not make it four star. Our room was okay to sleep in at the end of each busy day but that was about it. Oh the bathroom lighting was good.

We recently stayed at this hotel and can tell you it is not a 4 star hotel. Definitely 3 star at best. While the common areas are vast and nice, our rooms were not so nice. The first room we had, the bathroom had black mold all over the drain and the areas around the shower door, the towel rack was broken, and there was no where to hang or place anything. You can tell there used to be glass shelves but those are no longer. And you can tell there used to be hooks but those are gone. I’m pretty sure the bathroom wasn’t even cleaned before we arrived as there was hair in the shower, and not the kind that’s on your head, and remnants of poop on the toilet. Disgusting. The walls in the room were knicked everywhere. The second room we were given had a better bathroom setup but one of the shower heads just dripped water out of the side, making it useless. The bed was awful. Hard as a rock and the pillows couldn’t have been any flatter. Definitely not elevated bedding that a 4 star hotel would have. I can say the staff were all exceptionally nice and helpful. Do not expect a 4 star experience if you stay here.
