Cello Restaurant

From the moment you walk into Cello you know it's going to be a great experience. Kim (owner and GM) greeted us with a friendly smile, just like seeing an old friend. Her contagious smile and laughter brings warmth and great vibes to this one of a kind restaurant. We sat at the counter to watch the chefs do their thing in a very clean and organized open kitchen. Watching Ryan (owner and Chef) calmly and professionally expo is so much fun to watch. He's also very engaging with all his guests who are lucky enough to get counter seating. The whole staff follows Kim and Ryan's vibe and are phenomenally hospitable. Atmosphere...wonderful and warm. The cocktails...amazing. The food...outstanding. We can't wait to come back to the Berkshires and will absolutely be visiting Cello again and again.

The dessert was like a poetic work of art, with each individual ingredient complementing the other to form the essence of sweet perfection. Ryan, Kim, Beth and the other members of Cello were welcoming and kind. They are masters of their craft. I'd recommend getting a reservation because this place fills up. We were lucky to be able to walk in and get a seat at the bar. I hope the onion rings are still on the menu the next time we go!

Had the meal of a lifetime at Cello. Food, service, and atmosphere were all impeccable. My wife has some allergies and the kitchen was incredibly accommodating. I loved the cocktail menu, had a great balance of flavors and a variety of spirits. The food came out quickly and every single dish was prepared skillfully with great attention to detail. Highly recommend going here for any occasion, perfect for a special date night or just simply a delicious meal where you can trust that you will be delighted no matter what you order.

Great server and a really nice meal. Highlight corn bread, salad greens, and the overall quality of ingredients. They fit me in on a Saturday night as a walk-in and set up a table on the patio with a heater. Would’ve enjoyed a bar seat for one, but the waitress attention and service was appreciated.

Lovely seasonal menu. The confit onion rings were pure silk and crunch, the bolognese rich yet light, and the cornbread.. yum. A tiny feast of highlights—five stars, happily.

Had the pleasure of dining at Cello 8/9. Started with the cornbread with maple butter, which was delightful and had the perfect texture. Next, I had the peach salad, which was a perfect marriage of flavors and texture. I am already wondering when I can eat this salad again as it was that good. I rounded out with the pork chop; the brine led to the most immaculate pork chop I’ve eaten. I also really enjoyed that it was paired with a curry sauce and fresh beets. Overall, Cello provided warm ambiance, incredible food that shined from the freshness and craft of the chefs, and an unbeatable experience. Can’t wait dine here again!

My wife and I tend to share various plates. We had the rigatoni, Bolognese, the pan sheared trout and spaghetti squash soup. Each dish was better than the one before. We had the spaghetti squash as an appetizer even though it’s a small plate order. It was plenty and we took some to go. We’ve been in the area for four days and this is by far the best restaurant we’ve eaten now. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful dining experience while staying in Lenox! + The restaurant was full on a summer Monday night, with people coming in throughout our dining time. + The menu was a great balance of not being too farfetched and having unique twists on popular American dishes. Solid flavors, great execution. + The staff was excellent and friendly. Made us want to order more food and wine and sit for a while longer - which is exactly what we did. - The restaurant is a bit cramped. We sat at the kitchen counter which I think ended up being more comfy than at a table.

Fine dining par excellence in the heart of Lenox! Very creative dishes with the menu changing daily. Focus is on flavor, not quantity so sharing a number of plates between people is a great way to taste them all. The hanger stake was cooked to absolute perfection - rare as requested and tasted divine with the bone marrow butter. The Earl Grey Creme Brulee had a delicious tea flavor infused that worked perfectly with the compote and granola. Service is very professional. A reservation is a must as seating is limited and quite tightly packed.

We are brunch here Food was...meh. One notch above a glorified diner and still trying way too hard. The Atlas Farm Lettuces ($15) was...a salad. Apple & Pumpkin Soup ($13) was tasty, but unfortunately, no crackers or bread were available to accompany the soup. Yes, I asked, and was told I could order a side of toast. No thanks. My husband had the Tonkatsu Sandwich ($20), which was a piece of fried ham on toasted bread. With a side of mustard. That's it. No dogs on the outdoor patio, by the way, in case you are traveling with a furry friend. The place across the street, called Patisserie Lenox, is much less pretentious and dogs are welcome on their patio. I know where we will be having lunch next time.

Love love love Cello! Kim, chef Ryan and the staff at Cello are wonderful. The food was flavorful and beautifully presented! Highly suggest going here for dinner or Sunday brunch !

What a mix! Tasty fish, tasty corn appetizer! The kale salad was too hard and chewy (I.e., they need to macerate their kale), but, the entrées were a hit all around!

Had an amazing meal at Cello this past Saturday. Chefs Ray and Sarita dazzled in the open kitchen and it was a pleasure to dine with them. Our favorite items were the meatballs with polenta and of course the dessert donuts with ice cream and cheese cake. The service at the counter was top notch, and Cody came up with an amazing mocktail for us. Can't wait to come back!

Hidden gem in the Berkshires - Great food and warm service, from a team that cares deeply about doing things the right way. Highly recommended!

We visited Cello when it first opened in the summer of 2023 and enjoyed a good meal. The original menu touched all the dinnertime food groups. By February, the menu was more innovative and had changed remarkably, probably a seasonal change. I started with an egg, sunny side up on a kimchi pancake and peanut paste. Delicious. Mushroom ramen with shiitake and trumpet mushrooms, soy-cured egg, nori, and onion was earthy, and might have benefitted from a splash of soy sauce, Asian cooking wine and/or chile sauce in the mushroom broth, but it hit the spot on a cold winter night. My wife enjoyed a tasty salmon tartare starter and veal schnitzel. Worth a visit from time to time.

Absolutely excellent! Food was outstanding and not your usual run of the mill. I'm not sure why it took us so long to try out this gem. Service was also excellent. They are on their game! Ambiance is cozy. We chose to sit at the counter and enjoyed watching Chef Ray and his assistant work their magic. BRAVO! Looking forward to going back.

The food was okay. The bolognese was overpowered by the rigatoni (they ran out of linguine), and the fish needed to be a bit more savory to balance out the sweetness of the pickled vegetable.

A charming restaurant in the center of Lenox. The food is terrific, and the menu is constantly changing. They also have a very nice wine list. Service is impeccable (we went soon after it opened, and it was a little slow, but they've definitely worked out the kinks). Definitely one of our go to restaurants in Lenox for a nice meal.
