An amazing experience the atmosphere and the noise so energizing. We did not do the tour as it is not an option on match days.

Highly recommend the stadium tour. Very interesting. Our guide, Paul, was bursting with Celtic knowledge AND Celtic pride. Thoroughly enjoyed our morning.

From the minute we arrived we were welcomed by all staff we met who couldn't do enough.im not football fan I'm married into it and have all sons. I've done man City and Liverpool and this was one of the best. Paul our guide was a true fan who gave us the funny and informative stories let us take our photos and could do enough, great tour guide. The club is steeped in history well worth the day out. Pints were good in sports bar. This club love their fans.

One of the great teams in Scotland, so getting away is a pain. The stadium needs a do up with all the European money. Nice friendly staff, great atmosphere here. Built on a hill so it seems to be walking up hill to get to it.

Yelp
If you are a seller of thumb tacks (UK: drawing pins) then you "Sell Tacks", which is about how you pronounce Celtic with a Scottish accent, by the way. Similarly, if you are a SeaLion and you do cool things to impress onlookers, then you do SealTricks. But seriously, Celtic is one of the great teams of the whole world, let alone the UK. The biggest club in Scotland on every level, playing in a palace of a 60k stadium, which includes a Graveyard so hardcore fans can be buried here! That's how much Celtic means. First-Hand Experience: this is my fave club in Scotland, and one of my 10 fave clubs in the world. I've seen them live at this stadium many times, I've also seen them away from home at Anfield (Liverpool), other Scottish clubs, and even in Cleveland Browns Stadium facing Boca Juniors. I can't really count the number of times I've watched them play but it's been around a dozen or more. Most recently was 2014. They're a wonderful club with wonderful fans. Being inside Celtic Park is one of the best stadium experiences for any fan anywhere. Plus they are linked to my fave team Liverpool in many ways and to my mother's homeland of Ireland. So they mean a lot to me. Watching them is a religious experience - and yes that is an in-joke. Since religion is so heavily linked to this club and Rangers. Celtic (pronounced Seyll-takk in the local accent, and never Kel-tic, ever) are bitter rivals of Rangers, and the religious element means the hatred runs deep. The Irish were always the outcasts and underdogs but when it comes to football they are the big boy. Rangers has won more Scottish League titles, but Celtic is bigger in every other way. They play in famous green and white hoops. The stadium is in the rough East End of town. I had a gun pointed at me outside their stadium. Since their first game in 1888, they have never been relegated, which is very impressive, especially now that Rangers were demoted and so Celtic are the only team not to be relegated. They have won the Scottish League 46 times and are the current champs. They're within 10 of Rangers' record. They've won the Scottish Cup 36 times and the League Cup 15 times. In 1967 they amazingly became the first British team to win the European Cup, with Manchester United, Liverpool (4 times in a few years) and Nottingham Forest following suit within a decade or so. They were runners up in the 1970 European Cup and in the 2003 UEFA Cup, meaning they have reached 3 major European finals, winning one. In 67 they had beaten Inter Milan in the final, whereas in 70 they lost to Feyenoord at the San Siro. Their greatest managers include Martin O'Neill who got them to the UEFA Cup Final, and Neil Lennon who got Celtic to a few Champions League knockout phases. Celtic's club magazine is the oldest in the football world, from 1965. There are supposedly 9 million Celtic fans around the world including 1 million in the US and Canada. Like Liverpool, they sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" before every game, and they never will.

Yelp
It's shocking that it has taken me to my 47th review to do this one, but here it finally is. Over the past decade or two I have been to Celtic Park literally hundreds of times, so you now know up front that clearly I am a fan. Having been to football grounds as famous as Anfield, Old Trafford, the Nou Camp, etc, I can certainly state that Celtic Park is on a par with any of these places. What sets it apart is the 5 star atmosphere created by the supporters who are known for producing the noise to help push the team over the line during important matches. Get yourself along to a match to sample the atmosphere, a champions league match is particularly recommended if you can get a ticket. Alternatively you can do the museum tour. I have done it a few times now with friends who have come to visit Glasgow. You get to hear about the famous history of Celtic and see parts of the stadium you normally would not have access to.

Yelp
I'm going to try and not be biased, as a Celtic fan. I want to be objective, above all. Celtic Park is located in the East of Glasgow, a 10 minute walk from Dalmarnock station, served by all manner of major bus routes from the city centre and further afield, and is well signposted once you reach the local area. On match day, you'll find streets packed with merchandise sellers, food vans and programme sellers, not to mention thousands of fans. Prices for matches vary, and tickets are usually required - check the club webstite or the ticket office at the ground for details. Prices can range anywhere from £10 for adults up to £50 depending on which match and competition. On non match days, there's a tour of the ground available, which I've done and would recommend even for non-Celtic fans. Match day inside the ground could be better, however. Mobile phone signal is patchy (WiFi is promised for this season onwards, but not sure how that will work yet or how much, if anything, it will cost). The major downfall for me is the refreshment situation. The staff are clearly under prepared for such big crowds. It usually takes me 20-25 minutes to get served, no matter what part of the stadium I'm in, and as with most sports stadiums, the prices are vastly inflated. It's something that definitely needs addressed, and I'd happily give the full five stars if it was. Other than that, there is no finer atmosphere, in my humble opinion, than a big European football night at Celtic Park under the floodlights. It really does raise the hairs on the back of your neck.

Yelp
Think of all the famous British teams of all time: Liverpool, Arsenal, Man. United, Chelsea, Everton and Man City. All of them do not hold the distinction of being the first British team to be crowned European champions. That honour goes to Celtic FC. How does the song go? Willie Maley was his name....he brought some great names to the game. Is that right? Now we can go into the matter that is Celtic's long rivalry with its crosstown neighbour Rangers. Yes, it has been ugly and I admit, I have got into a little of the "troubles" myself outside of the park and in the tube and even in the USA. But that discussion can be held at another time on another discussion board. I will say this: The atmosphere at Celtic Park and even at Ibrox is much more fanatic and louder than at Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and The Emirates. Yes, the English Premier League maybe the best in the world. But Celtic Park before games, with "Fields of Athenry" blaring through the speakers and in the crowd is amazing. And when "You'll Never Walk Alone" play before kickoff, with the green and white hooped banners and scarves raised...you have to get goosebumps. I've been to many sporting events around the world, and Celtic matches, especially European and Old Firm matches, are wonderful spectacles. If you want to see Celtic Park in one of its finest moments, go to Youtube, search Celtic-Manchester United 2006. The Nakamura goal, the Boruc penalty save and you see a stadium that is truly electric. Last, I think Britain as a whole has made great steps to make sure football stadia are safe for families and for kids. But be sure to be safe outside the park. Overall, a great place for fans of sport.

Yelp
Love Celtic! Went to see the charity match where Louis from One Direction got beat up lol! Btw my dad Stephen Carey sells scarves at the Lisbon Lions side :D Great atmosphere when you first walk into the stadium and when we sing 'Walk on' Strongly recommend paying a visit!

Yelp
What a glorious, mind-blowing and awe inspiring moment it is as you climb the stairs of Celtic Park and look out onto the lush green grass and the sea of 60,000 fans with the Champions League (tear) music blasting from the speakers. Expect nothing less than the best atmosphere of any football match you have been to and enjoy the prickling sensation from the hair on the back of your neck and arms. Today, you are in Paradise. All bias aside, Celtic park is one of the top stadia in the UK, however it is not a UEFA 5 star stadium as, unfortunately, some parts of the ground are restricted viewing. Nevertheless, grab a pie and have a seat. Celtic park holds the record of the largest ever capacity at a UEFA competition football match - Celtic Vs Leeds, 1970, European Cup, attendance was 136,505! The stadium is dripping with history and the tour is definitely worth doing. I took a few pals from London on it last year and the trophy room alone would have satisfied me! The habitual walk from town to Celtic Park is a must on game day. We usually set off from Central and pick up folk along the way. Its a good distance but there ends up being a good sized number of supporters heading that way and all in good spirits so not much to worry about. If you're looking to treat a football fan who's not from Glasgow to a great game of football, take them along to Celtic Park on a big game day! Celtic Park will also be hosting the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in 2014! But please, PLEASE don't call it 'Parkhead' as it does my box in!

Yelp
It is hard not to be impressed by Celtic Park. Even the most stubborn anti old firm protester can't help their eyes widening as they walk up the stairs and into the crowd as they take in the 60 thousand seater stadium. Okay, so around 90% of the games played are Parkhead are frightfully dull (don't give me a hard time for saying this. It's the truth and every Celtic fan knows it) but Old Firm and European ties provide an electrifying atmosphere. Celtic are at that inbetween stage; too good for Scotland but not quite one of the big European hitters, yet anyway. This gives the Champions League and Europa Cup games that extra excitement. Is this finally going to be Celtic's year?
google avatar

Yelp
Took the tour of Celtic Park simply because of Celtic's history in the game of football. Out of the 6 tours so far, it truly has been one of my favorites. Not only is the stadium magnificent, but the tour guide takes the time to explain everything and is very knowledgeable. Negatives: it's on the east side of town, so you have to take a bus. Also, when walking from the bus stop you notice that it's not in the greatest of areas... when coming from the backside you're walking down what seems like a deserted alley street.

Yelp
The Celtic Football Club are a professional football club based in Glasgow, Scotland which plays in the Scottish Premiership. Since playing its first game in 1888, Celtic has never been relegated. Celtic was initially founded to raise money for the poor in the East End of Glasgow and the club still retain strong charitable traditions today. On 9 August 2011 Celtic held a testimonial match in honour of former player John Kennedy. Due to the humanitarian crisis in East Africa, the entire proceeds were donated to Oxfam. An estimated £300,000 was raised. In 1995 the Celtic charity fund was formed with the aim of "revitalising Celtic's charitable traditions" and to August 2011 has raised over £3 million. Celtic hold an annual charity fashion show at Celtic Park. In 2011 the main beneficiaries were Breast Cancer Care Scotland. Yorkhill Hospital is another charity with whom Celtic are affiliated and in December 2011 the club donated £3000 to it. Chief Executive Peter Lawwell said that; "Celtic has always been much more than a football club and it is important that, at all times we play an important role in the wider community. The club is delighted to have enjoyed such a long and positive connection with Yorkhill Hospital." Celtic have won the Scottish League Championship on 46 occasions, most recently in the 2014-15 season, the Scottish Cup 36 times and the Scottish League Cup 15 times. The club's greatest season was 1966-67, when Celtic became the first British team to win the European Cup, also winning the Scottish League Championship, the Scottish Cup, the Scottish League Cup, and the Glasgow Cup. Celtic also reached the 1970 European Cup Final, and the 2003 UEFA Cup Final. Celtic's stadium is Celtic Park, which is in the Parkhead area of Glasgow. Celtic Park, an all-seater stadium with a capacity of 60,355, is the largest football stadium in Scotland and the seventh-largest stadium in the United Kingdom, after Murrayfield, Old Trafford, Twickenham, Wembley, the London 2012 Olympic Stadium and the Millennium Stadium. It is commonly known as Parkhead or Paradise.

Yelp
As a Celtic fan it would be blasphemy not to review this wonderful, exquisite arena. On approach toParkhead you kind of feel your sneaking up on a giant space ship, or is that just me? To be completely honest, getting to the stadium can be a bit of a pain, what with the only means of arrival via bus, taxi or shoeleather....although this may all change for the upcoming Commonwealth games, who knows?? Anyway, heading into the ground for a game is a real treat of the senses. People always talk about a buzz when it comes to sporting events and gigs, but its not until you witness it yourself that you can truly appreciate what is meant. Having been lucky enough to see some pretty high profile games here, i would totally recommend coming along for a game. With prices starting at around the £25 to £30 mark, it can seem a little expensive but is a must for all sports fans.

Yelp
What can I say, I am bias...this is the best club in Scotland, and the tours are fantastic. The guide offers a lot of humour whilst showing you around. The decor especailly in the boardroom and trophy room is the most impressive I have seen. The pitch looks fantastic from the stand. Eveyone at Celtic makes you feel welcome, most of the players will stop and sign autographs and the current manager always has stops to say hello. Must See

Yelp
Celtic Football Club, The champions of Scotland for the past 3 years, the only Scottish, and first British team to ever win the European Cup. Their home is Celtic Park and it's an impressive stadium in the East End of Glasgow. There's a massive superstore where you can buy all your memorabilia. A few top notch restaurants and a crackin museum. Well worth a visit! Video link: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6nHCA49QqqM

Yelp
Looks like the reviews written here are all by Celtic supporters, so I'll try and balance it out with the views of an unbiased outsider. I like this ground overall, but it's not quite as described elsewhere on this site. For a start the atmosphere when I visited (which was for a top Champions League game) wasn't fantastic. That's not a criticism - since the law changed to make everyone sit down I think all atmospheres have suffered in Britain. Their away support is excellent, but it's obviously diluted at home - again, not unusual. There was a big post in front of me that really spoiled my view. I'm not talking about one where you can look one side or another to see what's going on, there was a large part of the pitch I just couldn't see. The Celtic fans I met were great, no problems. Easy to get to, parked up in the street about a mile away and had no problems getting away afterwards (park any nearer and you will though). One last word of warning. Around 200 fans with genuine tickets were refused entry at kick off time. They were told that the ground was full, but there were plenty of spare seats inside. A letter of complaint didn't even get a response. Get in early if you have a ticket in the away section.

Yelp
parkhead is the greatest stadium i have been in. Its not the biggest or the newest but its the best. there is over 60000 seats, which are mostly always full. the clubs record attendance was 92000, against rangers in 1938 there are snack bars, merchandise kiosks, toilets and betting shops. There are 2 large screens behind each goal and smaller ones dotted about. there is also a seleciton of corperate boxes, function suites and restaurents available for hire park head is home to the mighty hoops current premier league champions for the third year running, and the first british team to lift the european cup. a tour of the stadium is a must. outside the ground there is a large club superstore, stocking everythin a celtic fan could want, the ticket office and a satue of the clubs founder brother walfrid. on numerous occassions we have been at the ground when the players were coming out and they have always stopped to sign shirts and have photos taken. parkhead is also known as paradise, and it is to celtic fans everywhere

Yelp
Oooooh right-o. I realise that my review may be a slight bit affected from last night's breathtaking match performance against Barca and the victory alcohol still coursing through ma veins. But oooohhh... Celtic! Oooohhh... Parkhead! I wonder if there'll be a spike in the Scottish birthrate come August 2013... Granted it's not in the most beautiful part of town, but well hey-ho, the dichotomy just adds all the more to the beauty that awaits you when you enter the stadium, literally feel the pulse of the crowd around you, and smell the faint sweetness of the primed grass just leading up to a match. And I love that there's no smoking here! The east side is up and coming and will yet again have it's glory days, I tell ya! I awoke yesterday morning to an envelope left by ma gorgeous husband, containing a card with some simple but poignant and heartfelt lines: It's been twelve years and still I feel the best is yet to come. Each day with you, my cracker dear makes my heart undone. Shall the next twelve or twenty-four years prove as joyful as the last... Oh boy. I'm going to need a helmet, frying pan, and a good bit of rope! (The last bit is a wee inside joke - oh how he makes me smile :) This was followed by another note asking me to come out to the kitchen... so I could please make him breakfast!! Keeping it real, the joker :D Okay, I'm getting way off track here -- the final part informed me that in the evening I was to be dressed and ready for action, excitement, rain, and lots and lots of men. I thought silk and pearls were the traditional 12th anniversary gifts, but hey - when your husband offers you an orgy in the mud with lots of men, what's a gal to say? Needless to say, the incredible man knows me through and through. Fast forward to the evening, I am wrapped to the gills in raingear and wellies, just about to be handed two tickets to a champions league match, ultimately to watch Celtic defeat Barca on their home turf, more or less right in our backyard. I had no words then. Might have squealed for about 5 minutes straight, which explains the neighbourhood dogs going nuts. And today I still have no words (except what is turning out to be a giant essay on this here yelp!), mainly because I lost my voice last night somewhere between the 84th and 85th minute. I'm going to try and be as objective as I can this morning, and with this disclaimer, I would still venture to say that Celtic Park is one of the more lovelier stadiums I've been to throughout the UK. But a stadium is just a stadium and an ark is just an ark - nothing more - without its animals and inhabitants to bring it to life. And that infectious buzz around and in, before during and after... I'm still humming with the energy of the day and night. My husband is a rugby man and doesn't care as much for footy - one of the rare times we have to fight for the remote - but as for me? Give me a symmetrically round ball! I love football - standing up, sitting down, up against a wall, in a dark room in the back - any which way ;) - but above all else, in a glorious stadium with a glorious tradition and a heart tugging history to back it all up. There's something truly magical about Celtic Park. Even if it's not your home team, a visit is a must for any football fan. Before turning out the lights, my husband told me that we might not make it to 125 years, but that he hoped to die trying.

Yelp
I don't think I can write much more about Celtic Football Club, as after reading a few of the reviews already written however my first memory if ever watching Celtic was at primary school when Celtic were playing in the final of the European Cup in 1967. I was 10 and the headmaster allowed four classes to watch the full game in the assembly hall along with the then Parish Priest , Father Fitzgerald and not forgetting the " Janny" Mr Donnelly I clearly remember when Celtic won the cup both the headmaster the priest and the janny went ballistic jumping up and down with sheer joy, I think that was the first ever Celtic Huddle I ever seen and we all joined in ( oh happy innocent days tear coming on just at the memory of it all) the excitement carried on all week and at school the atmosphere was electric everybody was talking about the Big Cup coming home , that memory is still very clear in my mind although it was 47 years ago. Later on that week we were allowed home early from school to wait for the Celtic bus arriving at the airport ( never happen in this day and age , or would it ? ) me and a few pals made our way to the stadium to wait and when we were on the road the crowds just got bigger and bigger and they were all singing and dancing in the streets for me being so young this was just magical as I had never been inside the stadium at all but now this was my chance, walking up those stairs (old Celtic end) to be greeted by a sea of green and white was nothing short if absolute bliss I still tingle to this day at the thought of it. Standing there when the team arrived watching them go round the stadium in an old lorry with the Big Cup dining and dancing laughing and crying seemed to be the emotions of all the adults that day, I will never ever forget that time it was truly magical a bit like Seville many years later but this time I was the adult And my two boys who went to Seville will I'm sure tell there children the day they went to Seville as I told my kids about the Big Cup coming home

Yelp
Much better than it used to be. good seating and good views from most of the ground. Would be better if they built a new stand to replace the ramaining old bit, but perhaps that would take something away from the tradition of the place. great atmosphere on big game days and nights.

Yelp
Celtic Park is located in Parkhead on the east side of Glasgow. The surrounding area used to be realy run done but is undergoing a major overhall and the new houses in the area make it a lot more pleasant. The stadium itself seats over 60,000 and is one of the largest in Britian (it did boast the largest capasity for a while). If in the upper tier be prepared for a long climb to get to your seat but it worth it as these seats give the best whole pitch veiw. It was mentioned in a previous review about a post restricting the view. These seats are usualy sold as 'restricted view' and as such are cheaper. The stadium also houses a good amount of refreshment stands, merchandise outlets and bookmakers. In my experience the atmosphere is great, especialy for big games and the feel of the whole stand bouncing after a major victory is something to experiance. Located in the car park, the Supperstore sells anything you could possably want Celtic wise (licenced that is) and on match days is usualy busy so if possable go when there is not a game on. A great stadium and one of my favorate places to go.

Yelp
First off - as a supporter am probably biased, though my non-supporting friends have the same opinions as me. I've been to Celtic Park for matches, both friendlies and international games, as well as stopping by the stadium to go to the superstore, pick up tickets, get photos taken and also to go on the tour. The stadium itself has 60,000 seats, I've been in the top tier once and be warned there's an awful lot of steps to get there! Though the view we had was fantastic, you do pay for the seats you get, as with all top flight clubs nowadays. The atmosphere is always friendly no matter what happens. Lots of snacks and toilets are clean and plenty. The superstore outside is best visited outside match times as it's always quieter and stocks just about everything you could imaging with the celtic logo. Our family went on the tour during the summer and I have to say it was AMAZING the tour guide was fantastic, you're not rushed around, you have time to look and ask questions, take photos and hear tales of days gone by. The price for the service was fantastic, as was bumping into one of the players in the stairwell while he was doing physio training! The area around Celtic Park used to be a massive let down though Barrowfield next door has recently been redeveloped and other areas surrounding the park are due regeneration with the forthcoming 2014 Commonwealth Games - Celtic Park will host the opening ceremony. There's good public transport past the stadium so getting there from the city centre is quick and easy. Well worth a visit for any football fan.

Yelp
One of the biggest clubs in Glasgow next to Rangers there stadium is located in Parkhead and to some visiting the area I feel it is spoiled slightly by the houses and the general appearance of the surrounding streets. There is money being put into the area though which will help. The stadium is large with plenty of seats but as it is a main team in Scottish football tickets for big games can be hard to get. There are seats which are not as good though so remember your price of your ticket really does represent what seat and view you will get. The majority of the matches are well supported and the fans are loyal. The shop selling scarfs, kits etc do really well on match days so I stay well clear or go early. It is a good experience even if it can take a while to get away at the end of a match but if you win you are not really in any hurry anyway.

Yelp
Any football fan from anywhere in the world would enjoy a vist to Parkhead the home of Celtic. Yes you can get a meal, yes you can take a tour but to get a real taste of the club, its history and its fanatical fans you need to go to a match. My next point may be a little controversial but you can say the same for their greatest rivals, Rangers. Glasgow has two great teams with long histories. Would one be as big without the other....I have my doubts.
