This is a fine Irish pub in downtown Punta Gorda. I was on a bike ride, and stopped in for a beer. Bike rack out front was easily accessible. I walked in the back door, in the front, to a nice cozy bar, but wanting to be outside on this fine sunny day, finally warming up a bit. I walked through to the opposite door, and was out where the live music stage, and outdoor seating lay. Although no band was on stage on this Wednesday, at 1:00 in the afternoon, I sauntered up to the outside bar, and was quickly greeted by a polite young bar-keep. Sadly, I ne'er got her name. I ordered an on tap Guinness, and she began the process. Thankfully, she did not rush things. She gently poured the beer until it roofed the glass, and then let it settle. It took between 3-5 mins for her to finally top it off, but it was magnificent, and tasted as smooth as silk. I married that with an order of chips, and topped them with Celtic Kevin's fish & chips vinegar. Delicious! The wait staff, bartenders, and even the bus boy were all very pleasant. The only downside was, being alongside a busy street, without any entertainment, it was a bit noisy, lacking auditory atmosphere. Other than that, I loved it. Including tip, and I'm a decent tipper, with my good size order of chips, which I couldn't finish, and my brew, I spent $20. It was my second time there. I definitely want to catch some live entertainment next time. Great stop!
