Celtic Royal Hotel

Really recommend this hotel. The staff there were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were really tasty. Went swimming in the pool every day, very clean. The room was very comfortable. Live music at the bar at dinner time was a bonus! Walking distance to the beach and only 20 minutes drive to Snowdon mountain and the mountain train. Celtic royal hotel made our holiday really nice.

Room was lovely and clean. No plug sockets near the beds, but that wasn't a worry. The room was very warm at night. The shower was great. The pool was lots of fun, but we missed the sauna room because it closed at 7pm I believe. We had dinner at the bar area, not the restaurant. The food wasn't enjoyed greatly, but the service was great. The breakfast was lovely, it had what we wanted. As a final note, the hotel style was very unique and I recommend a night there!

Hotel was ok. Nice meeting from the receptionist Jude, very thorough run down about everything. |We have booked a superior room, I would say the bed was a king size, seemed very small. |Room was clean enough, however there was no soap in the dispenser at the bathroom sink and the velour headboard needed a good vacuum on the top as it was thick in dust. |Nice pool area, I wouldn’t call it a spa personally but it does have a sauna and steam room. |Nice bar area and the meal was nice enough.

We found this very pleasant experience. the rooms were basic but very clean with tea facilities and a safe which is always useful. The spa is excellent. It has a sauna ,steam, jacuzzi and a decent size pool. The restaurant has some decent options. As we eat halal we had the vegetarian pizza and fish and chips.Served by Ionut who was very helpful. The breakfast was equally good with a decent selection. Overall all the staff seem very helpful. It is round the corner from the marine and the caernarfon castle. A peaceful stay...highly recommend.

Great location, however the rooms look dated and tired, the rooms are also very warm and there is no equipment or technology available immediately. The staff are available and the reception staff are pleasant and warm. We had breakfast both mornings for our stay, the menu isn't the biggest but covers the solid basics. If only the grandeur of the front entrance matched the entire hotel it could be a special stay

The hotel looks amazing on the pictures but it really isnt what it seems. |As soon as you get there all seems good, beautiful decor, friendly staff but as soon as you walk up the staires everything changes. |The rooms are very very run down and unclean. I had bodily hairs in the bed, everything is covered in dust, paint chipping off. |I didnt use the pool or gym so cant really comment on that but the money we paid really wasnt worth the night we stayed there. |The beds are uncomfortable , its really hot in the room too. |The breakfast was average. |Its such a shame because it has potential, wish we had stayed elsewhere unfortunately.

This hotel is certainly one we will return to. One of the best we have stayed in. Outstanding ! Arrived and was warmly welcomed by a lovely lady on reception who helped with surprising my sister when she turned up for her surprise 60th. Our rooms (3) were all perfect, comfortable and clean. We used the pool and even took my 86 year old mum swimming as there was proper steps and a rail. The restaurant/staff was excellent. Good food and exceptional, friendly service. As was the bar !!!! Only one thing I would add to the bathroom, (there are disabled rails) but I would also add a rubber bath mat to the bath. Overall, a fantastic stay and we had the best time ever. Can't rate this hotel highly enough and we are looking forward to going back for longer and exploring the area more. Thank you so much everybody. See you soon !!!

Breakfast and location were fine. The hotel is very beautiful on arrival however tricky to access if with a pushchair or wheelchair.||The rooms were unclean, a toothpick on the floor in one bathroom, an empty ring box and flickering light in another. The windows were difficult to open and the rooms were hot. One room was nicer than the other, had a coffee machine but only milk pods, it had been done up. The family room was dated. There were hard to find plug sockets to charge phones etc. ||I was there under difficult circumstances for the Inquest of loved ones and the hotel knew this, although they accommodated with rooms out way and close together, the rooms felt like they hadn’t been looked after and no effort was made for our comfort. They were poor at communicating by email and I feel like the cost was extortionate for the quality of the rooms and care.

Staff was friendly upon waking in. Hotel is neat looking from the pictures but upon pulling in... We can see that photos online can be very deceiving. This was booked on Expedia and looked to be a great spot based on 884 Trip Advisor reviews and 4.5 stars. Errrrr wrong. Room smells like cheese and is hot as balls. There is an "A/C" in the room but the control to use it is kept at the front desk and they'll bring it to you so you can use it, but it goes back with them. Well, after all that you find out it doesn't work any way but they'll bring you fans, but no outlets near the bed to plug them in. Furniture is filthy, old, and dirty. Spots on walls and doors. Pillows are a joke. Don't book.

This had to be the worst experience of my holiday Rooms need updating and are dirty The air conditioner did not work and the window open inwards over the kitchens do was useless to open They have one remote for the AC at reception and you have to call room service for an adjustment on a unit that didn't work anyway It was like a Monte Python episode

This place is well presented and has a friendly staff up front. It appears to be the place to stay in Caernafon, there were several different groups staying and a wedding going on when we stayed last night! I enjoyed sitting in the different lounge rooms adjoining the lobby and the bar, and thought the place was well put together. The rooms are standard and clean, and breakfast was pretty standard. No complaints!
