A really welcoming place for well made traditional food of Mexico and in particular, the Michoacan region. Everything we had was of generous portion, visually pleasing, and tasted great. Lots of options for both food and drinks. Go at 1:30pm when it opens otherwise it is very popular and fills up.

Really enjoyed the food, portions, flavor, atmosphere. We had 4 beers, an appetizer and 2 meals. With tip, $505 pesos.

I didn’t like it. I ordered chile rojo tamales and they were super dry and hardly any meat; worse tamales I’ve ever seen. They were served by themselves on a plastic plate. Didn’t look appetizing at all! I had a bite and it was enough! Everything my friends ordered were too greasy. Nothing healthy on the menu. I would not recommend.

When I walked in by the looks of things I thought americanized Mexican food. But this place impressed me it truly is authentic regional food. We shared a number 2 which was 2 chicken enchiladas with red sauce that were full of flavor topped with fresh cheese, potatoes, lettuce and tomatoes. It was good the cheese was just a little strong smelling for me but it was good I personally could have done without it. 1 beef tostada which had good flavor topped with lettuce beans and the strong cheeses. The tostada was fried perfectly not overly crunchy and not dripping with oil. 2 beef tacos with lettuce, strong cheese 😂 and beans with fried shell which was cooked like I like it. Now I have to say my 2 favorite things was the sopa tarasca which is like a tortilla soup which was absolutely amazing. The broth was not to thick or watery and it had a little sour cream and fresh cheese, not the strong smelling the kind that is called de cuberta. It gave it a nice flavor, it was perfect for the overcast day we had. I also tried uchepo for the first time and it was OMG what did I just eat. It's like a tamale small in circumference same size as a normal tamale. It had this slightly sweet corn taste, the masa was soft and very moist. We topped it mexican sour cream and a delicious home made salsa mild or hot was the choice, we chose hot. I also tried coffee de la hoya which has no creamer you drink it black. The coffee was not strong it was mild but I think because of the cinnamon and piloncillo which is mexican sugar, all together had a nice flavor that I enjoyed. We also shared a slice of tres leches pineapple cake, it was okay the cake was dense a very juicy the whipped cream topping was home made which I thought was the best part. We're definitely going back this time to try the fresh corn tortillas, sorry no pictures we super hungry and forgot to take any. 😂

Really good. Awesome way to try regional specialities like sopa tarasca, corundas, enchiladas morelianas, and more. Very kid friendly with highchairs. Relaxed atmosphere and a local favorite.

It's ok for regional food, but it's not high quality Lots of fried corn dishes (tostadas, tacos, enchiladas, etc). Very limited vegetarian options.

Great restaurant. If your looking for fast food your in the wrong place. Traditional mexican food. Great!

Yelp
No te ponen salsas en la mesa con la comida que es lo más típico de las cocinas mexicanas; la comida así me supo insípida... El servicio también es un poco deficiente... No regresaré No salsas placed at table with your food which is customary in many mexican restaurants; this made my food lack taste... Service was also lacking...

Yelp
Amazing traditional Morelia style food - you cannot go wrong with the enchiladas or tostadas. They also have patitas (pigs feet - tastes like ham kind of) and numerous other things. Their agua frescas are standard (jamaica y Horchata) and they also have atole (hot drink) either pina or guava. Everything is good and there is lots of space. We had a party of 14(??) and they just kept moving tables to fit us. ------ Las comidas Morelianas son muy ricas - las enchiladas o tostadas estan opciones buenas. Tambien tiene patitas and mas cosas. Tienen agua frescas jamaica y horchata y tienen atole pina o guava. Todos estan ricos y hay espacio bastante. Tenemos mas que catorce personas y ponen mesas para nuestro grupo.

Yelp
Came to visit my parents hometown and told my family if they know a place with good enchiladas, and brought me here! Authentic home cooked food done right!

Yelp
Let me tell you one thing, this restaurant made me so happy I texted my best friends back home "I could die right now and I'd be alright with it, that meal was so good my life feels fulfilled, lol." This place has anything you could possibly want of traditional Michoacán food. If you're looking for a place to sample a lot of HOME style food, not elevated restaurant food, this is your place. Enchiladas placeras, uchepos, corundas, tamales, hot chocolate, fresh fruit, uff.
