These Are the 14 Best Cenotes in Tulum, Mexico

"About two miles from Tulum, this small, skull-shaped cenote is set amid rocky terrain and is celebrated for exceptionally clear water that’s great for diving. It’s a lesser-known spot with limited facilities—seating, lounge chairs, and a restroom—and visitors can jump in or descend a wooden ladder to reach the water located roughly eight feet below the surface." - Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty is a writer who specializes in covering destinations, resorts, and cruises for Travel + Leisure and other publications. The stuff is a bit 'i don't like what i do'- vibe. But further of this, it's a nice first Cenote to try. It's not a high jump maybe 2-3 meter max. Depends from which side you jump. And 3 holes to jump into the one big waterplsce. We payed 250 pesos each. There are nice shadow and sunny spots to chill and enjoy some hours here. It's a nice place also the water is blue.

A great small cenote with less crowd. There are three holes to jump in. The place is authentic and can have a great time with iguanas. However the price is so high, it was $17 (us dollars) and asks money for your own gopro :D make sure to keep it hidden before entering.

AMAZING! I wish I could have spent 5 hours here but we only spent 2. We came on a Monday and there were probably like 25 people here total, which wasn’t too crowded. There are 3 holes to jump from and they are so fun! It was 250 pesos to enter or $17 usd. There are bathrooms free to use. No lockers but I felt safe leaving my stuff. You technically aren’t supposed to bring outside alcohol. There are bats hanging from the ceiling but they don’t bother you. This place has a nice community vibe! A 30 min walk up the road is Gran Cenote which is also amazing! This place is a 30 min walk from Tulum. Walking on the side of the highway wasn’t that scary. It’s hard to get a taxi to return to Tulum but if you just start walking towards Tulum and wave at the taxis one should stop.

I've been to this cenote multiple times now. I always enjoy it here. It's normally pretty quiet so you can enjoy it a bit more than the others nearby that are busier with more people. 1 large entry, 2 small holes, a swing, and the ladder out make this place make it very pretty. There are also some photo places around to take fun pics. They also have hammocks if you're not feeling the wooden chairs at the particular moment. I'll definitely be going back again

Lovely place! Just make sure you are a strong swimmer. I had to rescue someone who could not swim well, and there are no lifeguards or folks watching out for safety.

For such a small cenote it never felt crowded. People were taking turns and there was a great community vibe. Definitely the most bats I have seen at any cenote. Very cool! Vibrant art work on the way in.

This Cenoté is very beautiful. The locals that run it have done an amazing job with the upkeep. There are brightly painted swings and Hammocks when you first walk in (perfect for taking pictures). There is beautiful trees and plants all around. I loved that they provided chair for everyone that visits. The water was nice and refreshing.

We got there early enough for it to be empty with one or two other groups of people. Such a wonderful Cenote. Ticket price not so bad but the bar there is definitely over charging for everything even cokes. I guess if you are american the prices will be fine. Try get there before 10am, for optimal visit. As we stayed we saw it get busy.
