These Are the 14 Best Cenotes in Tulum, Mexico

"Situated less than three miles south of Tulum and sharing a single entrance with a neighboring cenote, this lush, picture-postcard sinkhole is great for swimming and snorkeling; adventurous visitors can use ropes to swing into the water, and there are benches for relaxing afterwards. The combined entrance fee for both cenotes is about 200 pesos (~$10)." - Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty Patricia Doherty is a writer who specializes in covering destinations, resorts, and cruises for Travel + Leisure and other publications. Google
Beautiful Cenote with lots of fish and turtles. I would recommend getting here right when it opens to avoid the crowds. You need to buy tickets across the street at the other Cenote (you have to buy tickets to both) it was 150 MX per person to get access to both cenotes. Lots of tables to sit and relax at. Don’t wear sunscreen in the cenote. I would recommend bringing goggles and a snorkel

Very beautiful cenote, not overcrowded at all, clear warm water and enough places with shade, for the hot days with powerful sun. How to get there: do NOT follow Google Maps; instead, before leaving the main highway, proceed for another 150-200 meters (coming from Tulum) and exit on the right side at the other cenote, where you can buy the ticket for Cenote Escondido too. Then ask for directions, it is easy to find (just across the street). Unfortunately, they force you to buy a combo ticket for both cenotes for 300 MXN.

Recommend. Take goggles. And a packed lunch if you're planning to stay a while. Cenote Escondido is a long narrow lagoon, maybe 50m? V beautiful especially when the sun hits the water - it's so clear. So many small fishes. Very clean. Dec 2024 price for access to one cenote is €150. Access to both this and Cristal is €300 (CASH ONLY). I didnt get to Cristal. They close at 4.30pm I spent the afternoon here. So quiet and just lovely. You can change in the bathrooms which are well maintained. [Editing this while back in UK...and aching for some warm waters to swim in...it's bloody freezing here!]

Hidden paradise, worth the search was a bit uneasy to get the ticket and find the right street because Maps take you to a wrong turn. The water is great, fresh and clean. Little fishes swimming around with you and deep down caves where you can dive. Magic atmosphere into the wild nature, you can see that people take care of this Place and the price 150 pesos is well balanced. Relax there all day, have fun.

Great cenote! Wasn’t too busy on a weekday. Crystal clear water, great snorkeling, plenty of shady areas, and 8ft cliff as well as rope swing to jump off! 150 pesos per person. You purchase wristbands across the street.

This is one of my favorite cenotes. Crystal clear cool water with places to jump in and a small cave to swim thru. Plenty of fish to see

Beautiful, crystal-clear and cool water. Apparently a very good place for divers. Rope-Swing and some places to jump (ca 2 mt. height). Some seating possibilities and toilets. Not too crowded. Entry 150 Pesos (Sept. 2023), Tickets are bought at cenote Crystal across the street. Watch out when crossing and don't forget your snorkeling equipment!

Beautiful place, very natural which we really liked. Not many constructions or anything. A few places to sit and enough to hide from direct sun. Definitely bring diving goggles, there are a lot of beautiful fishes, turtles and underwater life in general to see. Mind that the ticket counter is on the other side of the road at the Cenote Crystal. Also the showers to wash of your previously applied sunscreen!
