We had a pleasant stay at Centara Life Dunes Muscat. The hotel is well-maintained, offering spacious rooms that seem to have been converted from serviced apartments—complete with a kitchenette (though no longer functional). It’s excellent value for money, located in the Boushar area, close to major malls like Mall of Oman and Oman Avenues Mall, Sultan Qaboos Mosque. Muscat, in my opinion is not a walking friendly city for it's wide high way style roads, less shady trees and due to it's linear orientation of locations and hence forget about walking to explore the city:).The area itself is lively, with plenty of cafés and restaurants serving a variety of cuisines. During our stay, we enjoyed trying Iranian, Afghan, and Arabic food at nearby places.||||The hotel’s Thai & Arabian restaurant only operates during breakfast, which was a bit disappointing. However, the breakfast buffet was worth the price. It does get quite crowded, and the staff had to manage high demand, particularly with an older coffee machine, which slowed things down a little.||||A special mention to the wonderful team who made our stay comfortable: Subodh, Rita, and the Omani gentleman at the front desk during the mornings were welcoming and efficient. Zuwel and Hassan from housekeeping ensured our room was always well-maintained, and Sohaib at the restaurant was friendly and attentive.||||Wi-Fi was good and able to do a lot of works from room and have seen people using the work desk at the lobby for stable internet connection. The Snack and Coffee dispenser at the lobby was very useful.Transport was easy, with cab-hailing service, OTaxi and local bus 12B available to explore the city.||||Overall, it’s a great option for those looking for a comfortable stay in Muscat at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend this place for couples, Solo travellers !
