Centara Riverside Hotel Chiang Mai

I liked that even though it's an old hotel its interior is well maintained and generally clean ( I wish they vacuum the carpet in the room tho, seems dirty and dusty). I appreciate that the sheets, pillow, mattress, and towels seems brand new. The staffs are all very courteous and responsive. They offer wide variety of breakfast foods however, for the 8 days that I stayed there, the food choices are the same everyday. Overall, it was a great stay.

Great hotel in a fabulous location. The old city is a very short drive away (100 baht). The hotel itself is lovely, great food, the breakfast buffet is fabulous, the staff are wonderful and very accommodating. The pool is great, however very quiet, the pool area could do with a slight revamp. Maybe some overhanging vines over the outdoor seated area and some trees. Other than that the kids thoroughly enjoyed. The rooms were a little outdated, our toilet leaked and the cooling didn't seem to work well. Was very warm in our room. However was very clean and charming decor. Overall good hotel in a convenient location, just slightly let down by some outdated decor at the pool (with 2 young girls we spent a lot of time here) and a warm room that could not be adjusted. Despit this we would recommend and would visit again.

We love this hotel. The staff here is stellar. They go above and beyond to take care of you. This place is perfectly placed just outside the old city square. It's just a few min ride to the city center. They have awesome food that includes local specialties. They also make the best drinks if you're also looking for a nice relaxing evening before or after going out in town. Highly recommend.

Wonderful services! We have a 6 day meeting and it went smoothly. Room facilities is quite good. There is free water near the reception in the evening

We had a wonderful Mothers Day brunch and everything was great.||The food was delicious and the service was amazing.||The buffet had many delicious selections from western to Asian cuisine.||The facilities were very well maintained with plenty of free parking!

Quite a lot of things I like here, the views from different rooms, onto the river and the city's mountain, or my table at breakfast into Frangipani blooms, the Muesli sections with which I make my Muesli or the home made jam. - The music at breakfast a bit wild (free jazz) and overloud. A cool soft chill-out sound would make the atmosphere even better, for dreaming away some hours.

Convenient location, right by the Ping river with a view of Doi Suthep.|There's a Starbucks coffee shop at the lobby starts from7AM-7PM.|The breakfast offers a wide variety of choices, and the local dishes are delicious.|The bed is extremely comfortable. The Banquet room is spacious, and the staff provide great service.

We should have known from the moment we were outside the hotel there were going to be problems. The entrance drive was cordoned off. ||Once inside during check in we were told the pool was closed but they’d pay for us to use one elsewhere. We’d not been informed of this before arrival and that particular afternoon all we wanted to do was relax by the pool after a 2 day trip. We didn’t want to have to be driven to another pool and then not have the flexibility to return to our room as and when we wanted. ||We were given a room upgrade from the superior that was booked to a deluxe. All this means is you get a bath as well as a shower. The room was dated which would have been ok had it been clean. There was black mould all around the shower, a blood stain on the wall and not at all what we expected. ||I went down to the reception to express my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund as I just didn’t want to stay. They didn’t offer an alternative room, however I’m not sure I would have accepted it as they couldn’t offer the facilities we wanted. They just said to contact our tour operator. ||I went to get my bags and we checked out. We have since received a refund but no apology. On a good note the receptionist did order us a taxi out of there! ||I can only speak for the room I saw but I would say the hotel is in desperate need of refurb.
