The Perfect 3-4 Day Nashville Itinerary for 2025

"This 132-acre park is a relaxing oasis in the heart of the city with tree-covered walking paths, a tranquil pond, plenty of lawn space perfect for picnics, and frequent events like Shakespeare in the Park and music festivals; it was created for the Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition in 1897." - Matthew Kepnes

This is a nice park very beautiful. The only thing is that there was a lot of trash in the water that took away from its cleanliness. Other than that, it would’ve been 5 stars for me.

It does have a lot of duck poop and debris, but it used to be a good trail to walk. Now it can’t be walked anymore to its design because they fenced and put a building up so people can’t cross and finish the trail. Once you reach so far, you have to turn back around. This is just stupid and an inconvenience to those who want to walk and ride bikes. I’ve tried finding an alternate route to walk in an uninterrupted circle, but there is not one. There no longer is a walkable trail without disruption.

We visited this park on the 2023 Christmas evening following a Facebook post. Our intention is to see and enjoy the lighting in and around the park premises. But it was not that worth visiting the place only for seeing the lighting in the park. This is my personal feeling only. Also there are inscriptions on stone about the history of the city Irving, by which we can get to know things about the initial stages of the city.

I love this park so much. I've lived in Irving most of my life and never regularly visited any of the parks, but I'm over at this park all the time. It's so clean! The maintenance crew is very active and does a great job. Also there's a short loop or a longer path that goes who knows how far (Google Maps probably knows) so it's nice to have options on your walk length. Also there are so many cool birds!

This park is so beautiful! Heads up, there are a lot of birds and ducks in the area! I saw different people feeding the animals and these animals are not shy of humans! You will enjoy the beautiful scenery and animals. Definitely worth visiting!

This place is perfect for picnic and stroll with family and friends. During our visit, there are lots of geese and ducks. Also, the place has informative area that tells about Irving and how it was founded.

Beautiful Park, great for walking and hanging out. Lots of turtles, ducks and geese! P.S. There is a huge ''big mama" turtle somewhere in the lake which I barely caught a glimpse of before it swam down 😬 must have been 2.5 to 3 ft long..!
