It has the feel of one of those old school burger joints. Good food and excellent service. Parking during their busy time (lunch) can get a bit dicey depending on how busy they are. Overall, an excellent place to grab a very good burger.

Super cute cozy lunch spot! I love their burgers and fries, the staff are so kind. It feels like going to your cool aunt's house to eat. The homey cozy atmosphere makes everything taste that much better.

I discovered this place while trying to give my mom a variety of foods. No matter where we went, she ordered a cheeseburger, because it was still familiar to her. This was the only place she would order something else. If we went on Tuesday, she would get the homemade chicken pie, fried okra, Mac n cheese and a corn muffin. So she had another meal that she could remember and enjoy. They were always so nice and patient with us. Once I got her seated, they would stow her walker/chair until we were done. They would chat her up and she felt like they were old friends “doing a catch up”. Over the years, my family and I have personally tried: cheeseburgers, hotdogs, grilled cheese, fries, onion rings, chicken pie, wraps, corn dogs and LOTS of desserts! My husband and I went today and reminisced about how my mom would ask for a to go box, even if she only had 3 pieces of okra left. LOL. Today, Hubs enjoyed a bacon cheeseburger and 2 ATW hotdogs. I got the daily special of country style steak and gravy with mashed potatoes and more gravy, fried okra and a dinner roll. The hotdog bun was toasted but not buttered but it was still good. The bacon cheeseburger had crisp thick cut bacon and good iceberg lettuce. My meal was delish! The meat was fork tender and tasted like roast beef. The gravy was from the meat juices, so yum! I love their fried okra and the mashed potatoes are homemade. I really wanted to get the Hershey’s cappuccino crunch ice cream but I was stuffed and we had more errands to run, so a pint to go wasn’t feasible. The people that work there are still sweet as pie. We will go back.

First time trying this place and it did not disappoint! Grabbed a double cheeseburger with bacon to go and it was fantastic! Place was crowded, inside and out, but they had it moving along nicely. Gotta love a good hand patted cheeseburger! I’ll definitely be making more trips out to Summerfield so I can hit up this little joint.

My first time on this side of Greensboro, but I found a 5⭐️ restaurant. The Mushroom Swiss Burger was juicy and delicious. Onions Rigs were cooked just right and didn’t fall apart. Finished it off with a large slice of Key Lime Pie that was heavenly. They made you feel like you were eating at your own family’s restaurant. I walked hoping this place was gonna be good. I walked out knowing without a doubt it was an Amazing place to eat, Center Grove Grill and Soda Shop will not disappoint!

very hospitable service. The tea was excellent and they have a large menu. They do not advertise the prices which is a little bit weird. In my opinion I got a pimento cheese burger, and it was delicious and the chicken tenders were large

Small little place. Food is really good. From burgers and fries to a meat and 2 vegetables, it's all very good. Served hot and fresh. Service is ok. You order and sit and then pay on the way out so other than bringing food and the occasional drink refill, that's about it.

Daily specials. Homemade desserts. Ice cream are all fantastic. Sandwiches are best around.

I was really excited to try this place because I had heard good things and the menu looked great! However, when we got home and tasted the food it was pretty subpar. The cheeseburger I got literally tasted like one from McDonald's. Of course I always like to get a simple cheeseburger when I stop at McDonald's but I wasn't trying to get one of those at an actual restaurant! The fries were plain crinkle cut and the chili cheese dog was okay. I can't say there was really anything special about Center Grove Grill.

The little restaurant is out in Summerfield - I tried this the other day- The prices are over priced / yet the food was good- Charging 3.50 for a brownie is way over priced- You can go to Oakcrest diner and get a plate meal for 10.99 and get more food than here- there prices are 13.89. I guess location is key here so you don't have to drive 6 miles to Greensboro - I would recommend this and will try it again...

Comfort food at its best. The service is friendly and the daily specials are fresh. It's a great place to take the kids for food they will actually eat, followed by ice cream. Decor is nostalgic and fun, 50s style and Betty Boop. Lots of to-go orderers so we always find a seat. My only criticism is the use of styrofoam.

Took over 30 minutes to get food, people who came in after got food before I did. Just ridiculous.

Average food high price. 30.00 for 2 burgers, fries and drink. I would go back to try their plate lunches.

A weekly favorite for our family. We love getting traditional grill type foods but also having the choice of their daily specials. Their staff is always friendly and checking in to help if needed.

Stopped in specifically to try their versions of the burger and buttered steak sandwich served in the long ago at the Boar & Castle. This is a small place, with some booths along 3 walls and a long, communal table in the middle, making the place close, noisy, and cluttered when busy. And when busy, service slows noticeably - there was some problem in the kitchen with my order (not sure exactly what), and it took over 20 minutes - not good!. The two sandwiches I ordered were not terrible, but not close to the originals at the Castle. The steak sandwich was basically ground beef (same texture as the Ground Steak Sandwich found in and around Mt Airy) loaded with Castle Sauce, actually, too much sauce and YES, there is such a thing as TOO MUCH Castle Sauce - the sauce shouldn't smother the taste of the meat - if their was any butter on the inside of the bun, I couldn't tell. The burger was a little better, but again too much sauce, and the burger was rather large and somewhat overcooked. Can't see trying either one again - too bad, when done right, those are 2 Greensboro classics.

Small diner tucked away in Summerfield next to a Dominoes. Who knew the food would be so good? I had only been here once until yesterday and to be honest, I'm not exactly sure why. I live 1.7 miles away so distance is not an excuse. I was coming home from running errands right before lunch time so decided to stop in. The parking lot was almost full but I was hoping that was due to the Dominoes next door, wrong! The place was full. There is limited seating but I was really surprised at the crowd before noon on a Tuesday. Waited in line and ordered at the counter to go since there was no where to sit. I paid, turned around and a two-top opened up so I decided to stay. There are three or four women running the place, taking orders, filling drinks, running food from the kitchen. All were so friendly and engaging. My cheeseburger with bacon, pimento cheese, lettuce and tomato was great, a tad overcooked but I really liked the pimento cheese. The onion rings were stellar, crispy and hot. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen but as I said, they were slammed. They have daily specials like chicken pot pie, hamburger steak, baked spaghetti. They are definitely back on my radar now! Check them out if you're in the Northwest area of town.

Home made food is always good and the customer service is very good. Not your fast food business., however the service is fast .

Over the past several years I have eaten here and the food has always been good. Since moving to Brown Summit in December, I have gone a handful of times and it has not been good. I ordered the grilled chicken salad this past Friday and the salad was plain nasty. For some reason, it was very salty. Not sure why someone would put salt on a salad but they did. In addition, the service was awful. I waited 35 minutes for my food and had to gulp it down so I would not be late getting back to work. I love to support small local businesses so please step up the service and food quality.

Not bad for a little joint in the middle of nowhere. A little overrated and a little over priced but I enjoyed my burger.

Good local spot. This place fills up quickly at dinner time and they only cook to order, so if you are in a hurry I would suggest calling ahead. Portion sizes are more than fair for the price and they include free ice cream with the kids meals. Food is not exactly what could be labeled healthy, but it sure tastes great!

This place is a nice small restaurant that always pleases. Everything I have tried there is scrumptious! My personal favorite is there steak and cheese sub. This place is definitely a good small business to stop at if you want a quick and easy lunch!

This is a great soda and ice cream shop! The kids love to go there. Nothing is very healthy, it's a great place for a fun Friday night. They have fresh baked pies which are to die for. The milkshakes are tasty! If you get food get cheesy fries. (Not healthy!!) but so tasty. The chicken pot pie is fresh, and tasty. I would highly recommend it. Order one to go!!

We eat here all the time. We usualy have hamburgers, fries, or rings. Their food is always fresh and tasty. The milk shakes are great and are made the old fashion way with milk and a blender. They can be enjoyed through a straw. They have home-made chips with my wife always orders. Super friendly and very affordable. The service is that of a family run business. They have some seating outside. I have seen people come with their dogs and sit outside. Highly recommended.

Disgusting!! The food here is just gross and there are insects (beetles?) all over the place. I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like. Not worth returning.

I go there pretty often because of its location. It has pretty good food and good prices for what they serve. Their milkshakes are super good and I love their Chicken Pita. The only reason I gave it 4 starts is because their service is very slow so expect a longer wait time if their is anyone in front of you.

Since my last review we have been there a lot. They are close and easy for lunch. A lot of what I described previously has gotten a lot better. The food has become a lot more consistent.

Most HELPFUL and incredible customer service experience ever. Wow. Savannah was her name and she is in high school and does her job better than most anyone of any age. Their food is always amazing, but this customer service experience truly shaped my view of this place and I will absolutely go back because of it. I highly recommend this place, they care for you unlike most places do nowadays. This customer service is incredible and I cannot say it enough.

Great place to grab a quick bite to eat. Great burgers, friendly service, and a fantastic selection of ice creams (the banana pudding ice cream is to die for!!). They have their normal items on the menu like burgers, hot dogs, etc and also daily specials and sides! So glad to have a restaurant like this in Summerfield!

I work near here and absolutely love the food and the service. I get lunch every now and then, but I get ice cream here at least once a week. They have cappucino crunch ice cream and they always know that I'll be getting some when they see me walk in! Ice cream is yummy, service is friendly, and they have a delicious BBQ sandwich!

We love going to what we affectionately call CG'S. We've been going for eleven years now. The staff is friendly , the food is delicious and I love the homemade pies and cakes made fresh by the owner. Always a great place to pop into.

I've driven by here countless times and have never stopped here until now, what was I thinking???? It's nothing fancy, but we just had an awesome meal, I had the master burger, served on Texas toast, is just a burger deluxe, and it was a very delicious one at that! My wife had the steak pita which was overflowing with steak to the point where it was all over basket, crinkle fries, which I always love, and a good old root beer float. Just some really good comfort food that really hit the spot! Definitely recommend.

This should have a $$$ rating, because 2 BLTs,2 side salads, 1 chicken Philly, 1 small order of fries and 3 milkshakes cost over $40! Not to mention I waited over an hour for these simple items. The staff was rediculous, and maybe 1 thing came out of the kitchen every 10 minutes. Not wasting my time or money here again.

Decent locally owned spot. Family likes the burgers but I usually get the grilled chicken pita with cucumber sauce. Quite good actually. They could give a bit bigger portion on the fries. Everything is prepared to order so items that should be hot always are, or they have been so far for us. Not necessarily worth a long trip out of your way, but if you're in the area (like we are) and don't want to drive into town, it's a nice, close by meal that's decent and not expensive.

Big fans. My wife gets vegetable soup and a chicken salad sandwich and she loves it. My son gets a burger most times. This is a great locally owned family friendly restaurant. Great place to call ahead and bring home a quick meal for the family.

There is nothing better than great service from country folks making delicious food. Most of it is fried and whatnot so not super healthy, but delicious.

Fun little local spot with good regular diner fare. Kids love coming here b/c they get ice cream after their meal. And I mean a hearty scoop of good ice cream, several flavors available.
