Great hotel! The corner room was outstanding and we even had a little walk out deck. The beds were comfortable and everything was extremely clean. The included breakfast buffet was outstanding! All of the staff was so friendly and the location was perfect! We arrived a bit early and we didn’t even have to wait for the check in time, they checked us in early without hesitation. Also walkable distance to just about everything. We really enjoyed our stay!

Amazing view from the top and since the hotel is at the end of a busy street, it was still quiet. I would have loved to leave the windows open to the balcony at night, but the balcony is shared with the other room. The room was smaller than I expected. A standing fan is available in the room. The swing under a skylight was a nice touch. ||The bathroom was very minimalist. The water pressure was okay and it took some time for the water to warm up. The hotel is gearing towards going green, so you won’t see any plastic on the trash bins. They won’t change towels unless they are on the floors if you opt housekeeping. |I honestly love all the witty signs throughout the hotel and that they have trash bins in every floor. ||Parking spots are very limited, there’s about 8 spots for free. It’s first come, first serve and it’s located behind the hotel. We were so lucky to secure parking spots (the last spots available) for the 2 days we stayed in. There’s also a parking structure for pay across the hotel. The lobby was very inviting and comfy.

The staff let us check in early as we arrived on the typical Iceland red eye. Getting good complementary breakfast every AM was perfect was to start the day. It’s right next to the tours bus stop and where we dropped off from the airport. Convenient Rooms were small but very modern and clean. We were almost never in the room but balcony and view of harbor was super. Place is right on the main shopping street which is fantastic for walking, browsing, experiencing the beautiful small euro city of Reykjavik.

Surprising reviews. Stayed here because I felt the reviews looked real good. Here is what we liked:|The shower was nice, water temp was great.|Nice towel bar|Not so much:|Sink in bathroom was tiny, no where to put toiletries.|Bedspreads on bed were too small for the bed|Very few electrical plugs and one was on only one side of the bed.|Only one coffee maker in the breakfast area and just so happened that it was broken down when we wanted coffee. Luckily a Starbucks nearby and I went there (defeats the “free breakfast”)|Lighting in room was very dim, hard to see|Room was extremely loud, road noise and drunken revelers on the street and rooms next door.|All in all, this hotel reminds me of something between a Holiday Inn and a LaQuinta.

Writing this review as I am about to check-out of this hotel today. Excellent location close to cafes, bars and shops. Limited parking on site but included with our hotel stay. The breakfast is continental plus id say because you have a good selection of bacon, sausage , scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, fruit, deli meats, cereal, yogurt and coffees/teas. I did not leave breakfast feeling it was lacking. All in definitely consider staying at this hotel if you are visiting the area.

I liked everything about this place. Lobby was cute, the young man who checked us in/out was friendly and efficient, and our room was great. Very clean and well layed out with plenty of surface space to lay things out. Had a coffee maker, kettle, and small fridge. Wonderful deep, long tub and towel warmer in the bathroom. Breakfast was solid for a free breakfast and there were plenty of tables. Not many vegan options but they were all clearly labeled which was nice. On site parking lot was very small so if you aren't lucky enough to get one of the maybe 8 spots (first come, first serve) then plan on making other arrangements. Lots of restaurants nearby and it was a reasonable walk to the famous church and other sites. Did seem a bit noisy outside but I am very sensitive to sound so it may have just been me. Also it was a Friday night. Little balcony was a cute addition and brought in lots of light making the room feel more spacious then it technically was.

We really enjoyed our stay! We upgraded to a top floor room which included the welcome drink and complimentary breakfast but also came with free early check in and free late check out. In addition, we had a balcony. The room was great, once we got it. The check in email said if a room was available we could do early check in, however, there were no guarantees and the standard check in time was 2pm. When we arrived to let them know we were there, they said no rooms were available and to come back after 3. There was only a 50% chance they’d have a room ready for us at 1pm or the standard 2pm check in. They kept our luggage for us free of charge so we could explore the city. We left and didn’t go back until about 4pm, and thankfully a room was available. Our room was nice, albeit hot, so very thankfully for the balcony. It is a share balcony, but that’s not a big deal as our neighbors were quiet. The shower had two shower heads and both the room and bathroom were nicely sized. We enjoyed our welcome drinks as well as the complimentary breakfast. The only complaint on the breakfast is to ensure the coffee carafe stays full as it goes quickly! We grabbed drinks at the hotel bar later and I was very glad to see they had NA Tanqueray and a creative bartender! I haven’t been able to drink alcohol in over two years, so this was a nice treat! The staff is super friendly and helpful, we had a minor issue in our room and they were quick to fix it for us! The hotel is located at one end of a main road in the city and is close to plenty of attractions and restaurants! It is also near to the water! We will definitely stay here again if we return to Iceland!

Great value for Iceland. We visited in May and the staff was friendly and helpful. They welcomed us with complimentary drinks, too (booked direct). The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was excellent. Great location for walking around the city. Highly recommend!
