Centeral Hostel

It was a nice stay there. This is very close to the city centre. So it is convenient to walk to tourist places such as Red Square and Kremlin. Many restaurants, pubs and shops are in the close vicinity of this hostel. In addition, the staff is helpful. They maintain cleanliness there. It is a big hostel and they are managing it very well. Moreover, its tariff is quite affordable. They don’t provide shampoo or conditioner.

The location was good and the room was not bad. Small but not bad for it’s price. The girl receptionist is awful awful. Terrible attitude that made me hate the place. The building itself is so shady and untidy. Price was not bad but, Moscow is not expensive so I would recommend different places. This place is not worth it. Check is in 2 o’clock and check out is 11. No flexibility whatsoever. If you will come to Moscow late at night or after midnight do not I mean DO NOT come to this place.

The best part about this hostel is its location. Walking to the red square takes around less than 30 minutes. It is also not far from famous Tverskaya street. The male receptionist is pretty friendly who made my check-in pretty smooth the female receptionist is literally terrible. She loves to yell at her guests: use google translate. I do not understand English. Most non-Russian guests I talked to said that she was very unfriendly to them. So I think she is just being a racist. She really needs to get rid of her attitude and improve her services. We are here to help boost your business, not here to endure your temper and grudge. Her attitude could easily destroy the happy holiday mood. Most people who live here are local, not tourists. I guess they are staying there because they can't either afford or find a flat t in Moscow. So you won't feel the vibe of staying in hostel at all except that it is cheap. Most people barely leave the beds during the day. If you have bad luck, you might end up in a room where people don't obey house rules at all. One of the house rules is that people should be quiet after 11 pm. But in my room, a guy' friends (I do not know if they live in the other rooms or not) came over to visit him around 1 am. They talked and laughed as if no one else were in that room, which is really disrespectful. You might also have people talking loudly in the open space the whole night. The amenities in the hostels are generally old, especially the shower and toilets. You barely find any taps in the bathroom to brush your teeth or wash your face. The floors are not daily wiped, lockers are small, the room doors can not be locked. So if you only care about the location, sure you can stay. But if you want to have a good experience, then find yourself another place.

Not sure how this hostel is getting good rating. The girl in the recipient was rude. Rooms were not that good and clean, Bathrooms does not have doors, just a screen and that too only 2 Bathroom is available for 24 beds. The beds side rods make noise .. kitchen does not have much utensils and cutlery set, overall I will rate this hostel with 1 rating for its location.. guys please go with some other hostel in the same locality , final verdict.. its better to stay in metro station than staying in this hostel.. do not waste your money and time here

Very nice hostel/hotel in central Moscow. The staff wasn’t much to speak of and doesn’t have to be either I guess since it is very popular. The location is unbeatable, nice kitchen and price is very reasonable.

The room is good but there is only one window and the bathroom ventilation is inadequate. The woman at reception is extremely rude. There is no hospitality. If you have a question, just forget it because you’ll never get a response. And also don’t know english.

The only positive thing was that the bed was comfortable and the hotel/hostel was well located. Unfortunately, everything else was terrible. The internet was extremely bad — impossible for someone who works online. When I politely asked the receptionist (a young blond lady, normally there in the morning and evening) if I could use the common area to work, the staff was so rude with me and refused. I don’t understand why they are all the time angry and they look at you that way!! I booked a private studio, but the hair dryer was broken, the TV didn’t work, and the microwave and kettle had no outlet nearby, so I had to drag them around the room just to use them. The common areas were even worse: people were literally sleeping on the couches (during night/day), there was a small cockroach in the kitchen, and the smell of shoes and feet everywhere was unbearable. The place was messy and clearly not maintained. On top of that, there are people living there who act like they are in charge and treat guests badly. The receptionist’s (the girl I mentioned before) behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. Overall, this is one of the worst hostel/hotel experiences I’ve ever had — I would never recommend staying here.

The Lady in the Front Desk was very rude. She has no knowledge at all with Hospitality sector. She should not working in this industry.She is the rudest person I have ever met in my stay in Russka.
