On the Grid : Cento

"Named after the Lambretta Cento, the walls of this alleyway cafe are covered with scooters and ska paraphernalia (think the Specials’ album sleeves and Quadrophenia movie posters). There’s no indoor seating, but you can pull up a stool at one of the small bar tables out front or sit in the sun on the nearby loading dock. The baristas prepare each cup of Blue Bottle Coffee using the pour over method, so it’ll take a minute but the fresh flavor is worth it. Bonus: you can get a small discount if your bring your own mug." - Airbnb

Pictured here: summer appetizer of grilled peaches and burrata with a honey🍯 drizzle. If you haven't tried Centonove yet, you are missing out! Now that you know, I may never be able to get a table there - it will be so crowded. 😂 The food is outstanding and service is always on point My favorite dish is the Fiocchi di Pera. 😘

I about love this place. I came in my with my 3 year old daughter last night and we shared a pizza and ice cream. The pizza was incredible, the best in Los Gatos in my opinion. They had a watermelon strawberry, arugula, salad special which we got; perfect summer salad. My daughter got the caramel ice cream and she loved it. The overall experience was top tier, highly recommend.

We have been here a few times. Fantastic food and great service too. We have tried their bruschetta, pesto pizza, pizza pera, fungi pizza so far. All have been excellent. They have great quality burrata and bread.

Mediocre food at best. Cocktails are pretty bad. Salad with pretty fresh, but other items were very average.

This is officially my new favorite restaurant! The food is fantastic, and they can accommodate food allergies, and gluten intolerance very well. The gluten-free bread and pizza is so delicious. The service is excellent and the staff is friendly and welcoming. I love sitting outside on their little patio. I brought my husband the second time I went back and he also was very happy. This is our new go to place when we want to go out to a local dinner spot.

Don’t go any further, you’ve arrived at one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. While some of the restaurants we either closed at 7:00pm or very slow, this one was buzzing with customers. It took some time to get seated, and boy was it worth the wait. They went out of their way to accommodate us with a great outdoor space, amazing team service. Despite how extremely busy they were, they still smiled, were attentive and quick. Just before closing they had a group of sixteen guests without reservation and they were welcomed in. The food was delicious, well priced and we liked it so much that we went back two days later for lunch.

With a friend in town [I live in Santa Clara], we decided to stroll the village of Los Gatos on a recent Saturday afternoon. After venturing in and out of a few shops, it was time for lunch. Lots of nice options, but we did not find what we were in the mood for on Santa Cruz, so a local recommended we check out the places on Main Street, which we did. We found the perfect place -- Centonove. The friendly manager seated us at a table outside, which was great, since the sun was shining and the breeze was blowing. My friend and each ordered the Caesar salad -- his with chicken and mine with anchovies. Without question, one of the best Caesar salads I have ever had. The dressing was sublime and the croutons were more 'dust' than croutons, so you tasted them in every bite. Oh, and if you do not order the bread course, you will miss out on one of the best $4 investments you might ever have made. I cannot wait to return.

Wow, what an incredible find! I've been living in Los Gatos for quite some time now and thought I'd tried every restaurant in town, but somehow I missed this gem! The service here is top-notch—fast, efficient, and super friendly. And let's talk about the food—absolutely fantastic! We kicked things off with the antipasto platter, which was loaded with deliciousness. Then we dove into two pasta dishes: the classic bolognese and the cheesy truffle pasta. Both were out of this world! And don't even get me started on dessert. We indulged in the americano and tiramisu, and let me tell you, that tiramisu was hands down the best I've ever had. Bravo to the chef! I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Yelp
Located in charming downtown Los Gatos, this Italian gem blends rustic charm with modern touches. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, with warm lighting and great energy, whether you're seated inside or out on the patio. The menu is focused, seasonal, and full of flavor. Standout dishes include: * House-made pastas that are always perfectly cooked--rich, fresh, and beautifully balanced. * The Bolognese is a must if you're into comfort food done right--deep, meaty, and satisfying. * Wood-fired pizzas with thin, crisp crusts and high-quality toppings that speak for themselves. * Don't sleep on the burrata appetizer--creamy, fresh, and paired with seasonal ingredients. Their wine list is stellar, with a well-curated selection of Italian and Californian wines, plus knowledgeable staff who are happy to recommend the perfect pairing. Service is always attentive without being overbearing--professional, personable, and well-paced. Centonove delivers that perfect combination of great food, great wine, and great atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, it's a place that keeps calling you back.

Yelp
I've tried this place twice and both times it was just okay. I like that they have specials and I got the mushroom ravioli that they had as a special that day. I was excited to try it as I love mushroom but something was off about it. The filling was very odd and the texture wasn't good. The pine nuts were a good addition though. The dish was also soaked in butter. It was quite expensive at 28$ too. They do have lots of dessert options which is nice. I got the donuts that had chocolate and cream filling and also the tiramisu. Both were good but the tiramisu had too much cream on it at the top layer and the ratio was off. The service and ambiance are both good here though, and there's lots of seating outdoor if you want to sit outside with heaters too. It was also way too cold inside.

Yelp
Enjoy a fine Italian dinner in the Los Gatos area! I really enjoyed this fine restaurant! All the dishes we ate were exquisite! From the appetizers, wine, and main course, this is surely a place you don't wanna miss out on! The inside was nicely decorated and good vibes going on throughout the restaurant! Our server was very kind and helpful! We asked for recommendations and he have us his reasoning in very well thought out details! You must try the fresh bruchetta! That was the best dish I tried here! Very rich in flavor and so light! Perfect! And i love me and a good Margherita Pizza and this one here disappoint! So fresh and so good! 5 stars

Stopped in this evening had the peach bruschetta and lobster special, tomato bruschetta, gnocchi ,sausage pasta and bread. Excellent food and service!

Yelp
Nice place when you walk in. White table cloths and nice wallpaper. Not sure why they were playing Southern rock in the background, but it was 3 PM so maybe it was just to make staff happy when business is slow. We had the misty salad and the zucchini pizza with arugula. I got the pasta with shrimp and clams to go. The salad was enough for the two of us to share and was pretty good. Not drenched in dressing, but just enough to give you the flavor. The pizza came piping hot from the oven with yellow squash, and arugula on it, and a nice soft goat cheese. Even though it was hot, the crust was not quite done through and so it was a little floppy. Still it was delicious, especially with the red chili flakes. Which I took note come out of the shaker very nicely, unlike other grinds of red chili flakes. Service was pretty good except they did not ask if we would like to have red chili flakes brought to the table. We had to get them ourselves from the station behind us as the server had quickly disappeared before we noticed. Even though it was mid afternoon, they had a decent amount of business, primarily teens or early 20s, probably to share a pizza and gab. I would definitely come back, especially to try the pasta dishes Since I got a pasta dish to go, I will try it at home and let that be my guide.

Yelp
Great food, very close to what we experienced in Italy, great service. Will come again

Yelp
Food was great. Service was well deserved. The ambiance was exceptional. Everything was excellent!

Yelp
Got a seat outside on a Thursday evening for a little birthday dinner. The service was great and the food was amazing. Started with a glass of sparkling and a "special" appetizer: grilled peaches & burrata. Then finished with spinach gnocchi with leeks and prosciutto. Just a delicious meal start to finish. I will be back.

Yelp
Centonove is one of my favorite restaurants in Los Gatos. It's our go-to spot for my friends and me. Our favorite drink is the Pear Martini--it's so delicious and dangerously easy to have too many! The first time I went, we ordered pizza, which was a great choice, especially since they offer gluten-free and vegan options. However, since then, I've become partial to their Fiocchi di Pera--pasta pockets with pear and cheese in a Gorgonzola cream sauce. Absolutely divine! The staff is knowledgeable and super fun, adding to the great atmosphere. I highly recommend making a reservation, especially on weekends, as seating--both indoors and outdoors--is limited. But even if you have to wait, it's definitely worth it!

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick dinner and luckily they had a table available on their outdoor patio since I was dining with my dog. Unfortunately, the bread service is no longer complimentary. It's $4 now. That's such bummer because it's such a great way to welcome back customers. My first time dining here I had pasta so this time around I ordered a pizza. They have good vegetarian pizza options. I ordered the traditional Margherita pizza and it was solid! Thin slices and fluffy crust. The sauce to mozzarella ratio was perfect. I reheated my leftovers the next day and it was still just as good!

Yelp
very mid / just okay Flavor was a big miss. THE FOOD: - good starter bread - cavatelli stracciatella (sausage pasta): you can tell the pasta is homemade pasta. Portion was really small too - funghi (mushroom) pizza: there's no umami and the thyme overpowered everything too. Garlic tasted preserve and not fresh Friendly but slow service. Nice ambiance sitting outside on a summer night. Dog friendly patio! They gave all the doggos there water bowls so that was sweet (:

Yelp
I've lived in Los Gatos for a few years now and this was my first time visiting Centonove. My partner was having a bad day -- we were lucky to snag a reservation at the last minute so he could drown his sorrows in some yummy pizza. The decor is modern and uncomplicated - brick walls, white tablecloths, a monochrome color scheme. It's nice, but a little too cramped for my liking, especially when the restaurant is full. Our server was warm and friendly, but he was quite busy and it took some time for him to come around and take our order. It all worked out just fine because our food came out a short time later. So, yay for that- I was hungry! My partner ordered a margherita pizza, and it was everything he hoped it would be. When I asked him how it was, he said it was "very good." Following up, I asked him how it compared to the pizza he makes at home and the pizza at La Pizza y La Pasta. While he decided it was on par with Eataly's offerings, it wasn't as good as the pizza he makes himself. When asked about the difference between the two, he said he preferred his crust because it is "lighter." Avoiding gluten and dairy, I did not get to try it. But that the pizza was good was evident from the smile on his face and the cleared plate. When you have to avoid gluten and dairy, like me, but your partner would happily limit his diet exclusively to pizza and pasta, a proper Italian restaurant can present a challenging dining experience. And I'll be honest, I feel lame going into a place known for its pizza -- a dish with cheese and pizza dough as central components - trying to avoid both of those things. So, I was incredibly grateful when I ordered the salmon and asked to substitute the risotto for the potatoes that the server asked me "the creamy potatoes?" When I hesitated and asked him if they have potatoes without cream or cheese, he asked me if I had a dairy allergy, which I really appreciated, and then he confirmed that they could substitute regular roasted potatoes instead of the creamy ones. Huge shout out to the server for patiently answering my questions and making sure I got something I could eat. I would have been SO sad if I had received cheese and cream laden potatoes that I could not eat. The salmon was perfectly cooked, with the crispiest salmon skin (in a good way) that I've ever had. The potatoes and roasted carrots were also tasty. We had a lovely evening here, and I'd absolutely recommend a visit.

Yelp
Long time diner, first time caller -- I mean yelper Centonove is good, bordering on very good. The only issue is it used to be very good, bordering on great. The pizza are still the best and most reliable options. Thin lightly burnt crust -- not American fast-food style. The sausage and prosciutto is my fav but the mushroom one is a close second. Tagliatelle Bolognese is the go-to pasta dish. It's meaty and a solid flavor. On my most recent visit, there was no parmigiano on top. The house ravioli is filled with spinach and ricotta. Smaller portion. Nothing wrong with it. Affogato and Tiramisù are fine as desserts. I didn't care for the bland Panna Cotta. Small warnings: 1. When you get asked for still or sparking water, the still is free but the sparking is an extra charge. 2. The $5 bread service doesn't come with free refills. If you sit at the bar between 5-6pm on weekdays, antipasti, pizza, beer and wine are available at a reduced price. Personal preference: I don't like sitting inside near the back during the summer. The wood burning oven makes the room pretty warm. If it's a nice night, sit outside -- the tables and chairs are a little smaller but it's comfortable. Some yelpers seem to complain about the service but I've never had any issues.
google avatar

Angel H.

Yelp
Bland, flavorless, inauthentic, overpriced. Service was pleasant, but the food and drink leave much to be desired, especially for the prices when not up to par for this area. Will not return.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
Beware if you are dining outside. They got new chairs which are even smaller & more uncomfortable than the previous ones. I'm petite and slender, but even I had a hard time. No kidding but they are literally kid-sized. My back hurt the next day & I don't even have back issues lol. (So, definitely not the place to eat if you are concerned about any ADA issues. ) We were seated on a slope which is the most awkward dining experience ever. Further, when my friend asked to move to another table with comfortable chairs (there were 3 chairs) they said no. This particular table sat empty the entire 2 hours were there. I get it's a challenging area to have seating but sometimes it's not worth it to squeeze more tables in at the sacrifice of comfort. I don't think I'll be back sadly. It's a shame not to be able to have a semi comfortable dining experience out in the patio area in warmer weather :( Food: gnocchi was blander than usual. The beets in beet salad weren't cooked enough and the chicken in chicken dish was too dry. Recent reviews point out that this place has obviously slipped. I hope they can turn things around.

Yelp
I love this place! The staff is so friendly and welcoming, Food was amazing. I had pesto pizza a blood orange beer. Everyone was enjoying themselves. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. I would definitely return.

Yelp
Chill Italian in LG. Good pizza and outdoor seating. They have a nice private room as well.
google avatar

Priscilla R.

Yelp
We started off with the Fig and Burrata, which was incredibly good! We ordered the Pizza Pera (gluten free) and Cavatelli Stracchino & Salsiccia as our main dishes. The pizza was super good and we also enjoyed the pasta! The drinks were also great. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive, which only added to the already pleasant ambiance. Overall, would definitely recommend a try!
google avatar

Yelp
We are regulars... Great food and service. We especially love the pizza in the special oven from Naples
google avatar

Emma D.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went on a date night here and it was so much fun! The food was delicious- and I couldn't help but have two of their basil gin refreshers (so so good). Our waiter was also wonderful. He took the time to make sure we were comfortable, didn't rush us at all, and provided excellent service. They have a cute outside seating area right in downtown Los Gatos which is peaceful, beautiful and has an awesome vibe to it. Definitely would prepare to spend some money, but a 10/10 experience. Thanks so much!
google avatar

Joy M.

Yelp
This is a gorgeous restaurant with a fun bathroom. The bathroom has a cool view of the outside and loud music to jam in. The aesthetic of the restaurant and kitchen are super appealing to the eyes. Our servers did a wonderful job serving our group of 27. We had been constantly cared for. I would say the pizzas were financially the best decision to pick. They also were the most flavorful option to pick.
google avatar

Yelp
We have been happy customers of Centonove est 2013. Earlier that year we moved to Los Gatos with our family of 5 and luckily Centonove opened in the fall. When my kids come back home from college this is one of the places they always want to visit at some point. Excellent food, great service - greatful to have such a gem in our town.
google avatar

Ricardo R.

Yelp
A huge shout out to Shelly and the exceptional kitchen staff! They're the reason we make the drive every couple of months to enjoy these incredible meals and specials. Our 18-year-old daughter joined us, and we all loved the outdoor patio experience. The bread, the pasta, the drinks--everything is superb! She always has a wine to go with whatever you had ordered. We literally go to bed dreaming about this food after being here. Make the trip down here!
google avatar

Liz D.

Yelp
This place was buzzing with customers. We walked here from our hotel. Great pizza. The ravioli my sister had was was homemade pasta. Light and airy to the taste. I had the pesto pizza, and thevpear martinis, 3 of them. They were delicious. Great service. Our waiter checked in on as best he could considering how bubusy they were. I would love to visit again when I am in the neighborhood.
google avatar

Shani S.

Yelp
Second time there. Food was tasty. Service was prompt. Overall good experience. We will definitely come back again.

L S.

Yelp
Just a cozy, friendly place with great salads, pastas, wines and pizza. What more can you ask for? I always recommend the ravioli, the caesar salad and the Calabrese pizza (very spicy, but I add roasted garlic). The Heirloom tomato salad, even though you'd think tomato season has passed, was excellent.
google avatar

Arushi G.

Yelp
Walked into this restaurant on a Saturday night and was seated right away! The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered a Fusilli al Arrabbiata, and our server kindly let me know that this was very spicy, so I got a mild version, which was flavorful, and the pasta was well cooked. It was a little bit pricey, but it felt like a high-end nice restaurant with good service, so I didn't mind too much. I'm excited to come again with my family!
google avatar

Geoff J.

Yelp
We started with the bruschetta which was pretty good. But after that the food went down hill. The pasta was ok we orders the salsiccia sausage pasta which was kinda bland and overall pretty small for the price. At least that was edible. Then we also had the salsiccia and prosciutto pizza. One bite in I could tell it was uncooked. Completely raw. The table next to us also had a raw pizza. Maybe because we were young but none of the servers came up to us to ask if our food was ok. We very obviously were not eating the pizza. Finally the manager came and asked us. We ended up getting a new pizza but when the bill came we still had to pay for it!!! I said nope, is there anything we can do. And finally got it taken off. At least the wine was ok. But I literally threw up because of a little bit of the pizza. Maybe just a bad night but left dissappointed.
google avatar

Erich L.

Yelp
109 Good pizza! They have a chewy dough that comes out perfectly in the wood fired oven. Caesar salad was fresh and crispy with a nice creamy dressing. I especially recommend the scampi appetizer it was very tasty with a delicious pesto sauce. Everything went well with a Sierra Nevada on tap. It's nice inside and they have outdoor covered seating. Service was good for being there at a super busy time, I like that they use the toast app tablet for paperless payments.
google avatar

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Super cute restaurant! Went to celebrate a friend's birthday and the service was awesome! We ordered 4 pizzas, 3 salads and 3 pastas. Everything was so good but the pesto pizza was my favorite. Drinks were delicious too. Definitely will go back!
google avatar

KC C.

Yelp
Always a good meal here, and drinks too. It's the only place in LG that consistently offers good pasta AND pizza; their cocktails are also very yummy. The staff is friendly and attentive, although we forgot our server's name. The restaurant is always busy but offers dining indoors and outdoors, and they even have a small room downstairs, likely for private parties. The ambiance is great for family, date night or even a girls' night. There's plenty of parking around the area, whether street parking or garages. This is our go-to when we want some good Italian food!
google avatar

Cassie H.

Yelp
Absolutely love Centonove. It is our go-to Italian date night dinner spot. We have been twice now and loved it both times. For food: 10/10! Have only had fantastic food so far. We tried 3 different pizzas and the Caesar salad. Love all of them so much. We Laos ordered a bottle of their natural wine which was delicious! We are unfortunately always too stuffed by the end to order dessert. Another reason to come back! We have had the same server both times now too. I wish I knew her name because she is so nice and attentive and even remembered us! She has curly hair and some tattoos and is the best. Also had an aperol spritz and espresso martini. Pro tip: sub tequila in the espresso martini instead of vodka! Delicious. No complaints whatsoever! Cant wait to come back
google avatar

Mona A.

Yelp
This place is super cute, my goodness, their food is delicious! I absolutely loved, I mean loved their bread with olive oil, and their delicious but spicy pizza!! Their customer service is on point, they are so per friendly! We dined outside, they have heaters, and it was a cold night but the downtown is super cute and so is the location. I believe our waiters name was KC, and I forgot the other woman's name, both had excellent customer service. Will definitely be back!
google avatar

Lianna M.

Yelp
Best thing about this restaurant is their table bread! The service is very attentive and nice, but I'm a little on the fence about the food. My friends and I came here because they had a vegan pizza option. We got the impossible pizza, Funghi mushroom pizza, and spaghetti alla carbonara. The impossible pizza was a great choice for our vegan friend. The carbonara was okay, best part was that it was very creamy. Funghi pizza was good, but crust seemed undercooked. The standout item was the table bread. It had the perfect balance of crusty crust and a soft center. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. The ambiance inside was cute and they also had an outdoor patio.
google avatar

Renu A.

Yelp
Sat outside since we had our pup- they have heat lamps and an outdoor patio. We had the arrabiatta and funghi pizza. Both are vegan options and the pizza was dairy free (can get dairy free cheese or just without cheese). Do yourself a favor and the get the basket of warm bread too! It was soft and so yummy to munch on while we waited. Didn't have to wait long though since the food came out quick. Our server was great and really knowledgeable to help us pick our dishes since I'm avoiding dairy. They're super accommodating of any allergies etc which is always appreciated!
google avatar

Beth K.

Yelp
We were hoping for an outdoor table with our reservation, but no. Apparently when you make a reservation if you don't state your preference for outdoor table in open ended comment, they won't accommodate you. The hostess was a little rude about it, did not respond with a customer service mindset. Just, "You did not specify outdoor table." And we were hastily hustled to an indoor table. Ugh, obviously staff is not well trained in being gracious. The food was mediocre at best. The pizza average. My husband had a "salmon ravioli swimming in a cream sauce." It might have been helpful if they mentioned that this special was smoked salmon. It was filled with salty lox. It would have been bette if it had some vegetables and ricotta cheese in the ravioli. Not wasting our money - better places to eat with better food prep and better service in Los Gatos.
google avatar

Deanna S.

Yelp
There were five of us seated at a table for four, was very crowded with food. However the food itself was very good. 2-Had Gnocchi which were wonderful puffed pasta in the most delicious Gorgonzola sauce! 1-Had Cheese ravioli cooked perfectly! 1-Had the Special Salmon. Service was not as attentive as it could have been considering the size of the place.
google avatar

Ellen M.

Yelp
A great restaurant in downtown Los Gatos. It's charming. Service was attentive. Food was great. Well thought out wine list. We enjoyed the spinach gnocchi, tagliatelle short rib special, burrata cheese with roasted persimmons and burrata cheese with beets appetizers. Everyone seemed to be having such a good time--it buzzes with excitement. Try it! You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

J P.

Yelp
Delicious olives, bruschetta, pasta, and chicken piccata. Large selection of Italian wines. The patio is right on the road (which is not the restaurants fault) but just a heads up if you don't like tractor trailers driving by while lunching you should sit inside!

Jeffrey S.

Yelp
Our goal-to Italian Cafe in Los Gatos, we absolutely love the pizzas (and the big red pizza oven), beet salad, and pasta. Incredible cuisine and a great ambiance, especially outside on the patio. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Sameer C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Pizza and Gnocchi was outstanding. Service was excellent. It was easy to secure a table online ahead.

Yelp
I really wanted to like this restaurant... came here for my daughter's birthday/graduation dinner on a Friday night . We were sat right away for our reservation downstairs in what felt like the storage room, walk in fridges visible, tables put together long and narrow with table clothes to cover them. Server came by after 10 minutes and we were ready to order. ( We were a table of 7) I ordered family style appetizers to start followed by 3 pizzas and 3 pastas. Everything came at once! When I asked why the food runner said "that's just how it came" and had trouble dispersing the dishes to the table (because there was no room) Food was cold! Everything! Seems like it has been sitting in the window for some time! The flavors were there! But I don't want cold food! I sent back my prawns because that I just couldn't eat cold but they came back remade and cold again. I was with extended family so I wasn't going to cause a fuss. It was all just cold. At the end we were given the bill (even though I handed him my card in the beginning) which was a little bit annoying because I wanted to make sure I paid the tab. Then I see auto grat which I didn't mind at all but it made me wonder, were we thrown on the back burner because it was money regardless. I emailed the restaurant to get some kind of response. I don't expect my 550$ check to be reimbursed but maybe an apology and some kind of gift certificate to redeem themselves. I work in the restaurant industry so I know the standards. Like I said the flavors were nice but someone was over seating and management obviously isn't present.

Yelp
Picked this restaurant to catch up with one of my girlfriends over some dinner! Let me start this review by saying that their bread is AMAZING, I think we had like 3-4 rounds of it! I believe each order is freshly made and comes out so hot and soft! If I could just order some to take home with me, I would!!! My friend ordered the Calabria Pizza without the sausage, the waitress was friendly to offer if she would like to sub it with mushrooms or another veggie! She loved the pizza. The spiciness from the bomba calabrese was just perfect. I got the Tagliatelle Bolognese, the pasta was a little too al dente for my liking. I always forget to ask if they can cook it a little longer. But the sauce's flavor was great, a little more on the peppery side. I think one of the employees was new this evening as the wait even to get the food boxed (I thought it was pretty cool that they take the plate and box the food for you) and then check back took a little longer than usual; however, it was okay for us since we had a lot to catch up on! I checked into yelp and even got a free gelato! :) For 2 entrees and a soda, it came out to $51.00 I'm still dreaming about the bread !
google avatar

Kathy C.

Yelp
We had the Cesar salad. The waiter pointed out that it comes like a wedge and offered to have it chopped which we prefer. The Calabrian pizza was delicious, not too hot. The sausage was finely chopped and precooked. Again so good. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the manager and seated immediately. The waiter came right over to assist us. They started to get super busy but we never felt neglected. I've eaten here a few times and always enjoyed it. It is not in our neighborhood otherwise we would eat here frequently.

Yelp
My family and I went to this restaurant last Saturday for an early lunch. My husband ordered the seafood pasta, my daughter ordered the gnocchi, and I ordered the risotto. The food was all very tasty and delicious. I will say that my risotto dish was my least favorite of all three. However, it was the most expensive at $42 for the plate. Not a bad dish, But just not as good as the seafood pasta and the gnocchi. We were actually very impressed with the gnocchi that my daughter ordered. It had a very flavorful, buttery sauce and the gnocchi had a nice springy texture to it. The seafood pasta was absolutely yummy. It had a lot of great seafood flavor and the butter sauce was very delicious. Like I said, the risotto was also very good. But the rice was a tad bit too al dente. But the prawns were very tasty. Afterwards, we had ordered tiramisu and my daughter ordered the mini donuts. The tiramisu was as expected. Good but nothing over the top extraordinary about it. My daughter's little mini donuts looked so good, but I can't comment if they were good because she didn't share. So I'm going to assume they were quite delicious being that she didn't want to let us try them. Lol. Okay, she says that she liked them and they were fluffy (as she was listening to me auto dictate my review, LOL). I almost ordered some to go, but because our end bill was so expensive, decided to bypass it. The wine by the glass was crazy expensive. $18 for a glass of cab. I don't know if maybe I just ordered a really expensive pour, But had I known it was $18 when I ordered it, I would have passed and got something different. I would definitely come back again if the price was right. But at that price I probably won't be making too many visits back. But, it's to be expected for a fancy high quality Italian place as this one.

Yelp
Came by for dinner the other night and it was a mediocre experience. Parking was available on the street. Made a reservation and our table was ready upon arrival. Staff wore a uniform t-shirt and gloves were available for kitchen staff to wear. Started off with the complimentary bread which was warm out of the oven and complemented nicely with the olive oil. Had the Gnocco Fritto con Prosciutto with fried dough, prosciutto di Parma, burrata cheese as an appetizer and it was okay. The gnocco was on the heavier side and the prosciutto seems to have been store bought. The portions were generous though. The Calabria pizza with calabrese sausage, Bomba calabrese, tomato sauce, mozzarella was mediocre. The crust was too bready... The toppings were okay though... The Spaghetti Vongole E Gamberi was decent. The broth was extremely flavorful and the shrimp were medium sized. The pasta was cooked correctly and the portion was huge as the kitchen took the liberty to split our order! Ended off the meal with the 3 layer chocolate mousse and panna cotta which were both decent. Service by our waitress great. There was a little bit of A/C inside the restaurant and outdoor dining was also popular as it was super hot on the day of our visit. There seems to be a lower level to the restaurant and the restroom doesn't have A/C... ~$65/head after tax and gratuity for dinner.

Yelp
If you you like the classic American Italian menus created in the mid 70's, don't go to Centonove. They serve only the highest quality, modern Italian food. There are a handful of Italians (born in Italy) in the Los Gatos area, they all eat here regularly. The service is the best in town, except for maybe Forbes Mill. The ambience inside is a classic Italian restaurant, loud with families talking and sharing the excellent food. Outside is calmer and much quieter.

Yelp
Went for the first time to celebrate a birthday. We had reservations at 7:30, seated promptly. We had the table in the back , nearer to the pizza oven;, it was a hot day so i recommend staying more near the front , better airflow and cooler. We ordered the beet carpaccio , thinly sliced with balsamic glaze, burrata, delicious and light start. The waiter was so nice and suggested things. We had an assortment of pizzas and pastas.i had the pesto pizza, crust was perfectly baked. We had an assortment of desserts, gelatos and tiramisu , we did a group tasting. I will definitely go back to try other things. It was crowded but the noise level was fine, we were able to talk , it was relaxing but a little warm.

Yelp
I came in and was immediately greeted by the front of house! I asked for a table of one outside and was told I could pick any of the 2 tops I would like. I ordered the salsiccia and prosciutto pizza ($24) and it was very delicious. The waitress was very sweet and had amazing pace. Outside was beautiful with heaters and an amazing patio.
