I was quite surprised by the price of this hostel. At 50 euros per night for a single bed in a shared dorm, it’s much more expensive than most hostels across the UK, where similar beds usually cost 18 to 23 euros and better facilities and conditions.
The place is not spacious, there are too many stairs and no lift, which makes it difficult if you’re carrying luggage. For the price, I expected more comfort or better facilities.
It’s not terrible, but definitely not worth the price compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in across the UK.
The lounge area is supposed to be for eating and using a computer, but it's not comfortable at all — you feel like you can’t move or talk, as others are reading or working quietly on their laptops. To make things worse, the movie room is right next to it, which creates even more discomfort and noise confusion.
The only positive thing is that the staff is friendly and the location is close to the centre and the university
