+ friendly staff + good facilities — for the price, you could hope for more comfort in bed and room, less noise from the club outside in the evenings. this wasn't so pleasant. — big minus: when its hot outside, the rooms inside are even hotter. in the night it doesn't cool down, it's really hard, but nothing what the hostel could do about — pub quiz was way too long and the host didn't do his job really good, plus he was kinda drunk

This was my first hostel experience! The young team were all lovely and accommodating, and they seem to all be good friends, and so there is a real energy to the place. The top bunk where I slept was comfy and the sideboard made it feel relatively sheltered. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials, and there were plenty of activities available. They were very accommodating and allowed me to use the common areas after check out before my coach later in the day. This was super appreciated The location is fantastic for those coming in on the train, and I didn't need to catch public transport while exploring the city at all.

I was quite surprised by the price of this hostel. At 50 euros per night for a single bed in a shared dorm, it’s much more expensive than most hostels across the UK, where similar beds usually cost 18 to 23 euros and better facilities and conditions. The place is not spacious, there are too many stairs and no lift, which makes it difficult if you’re carrying luggage. For the price, I expected more comfort or better facilities. It’s not terrible, but definitely not worth the price compared to other hostels I’ve stayed in across the UK. The lounge area is supposed to be for eating and using a computer, but it's not comfortable at all — you feel like you can’t move or talk, as others are reading or working quietly on their laptops. To make things worse, the movie room is right next to it, which creates even more discomfort and noise confusion. The only positive thing is that the staff is friendly and the location is close to the centre and the university

The staff were friendly and outgoing. Clean facilities and comfy rooms. First night not even the guests were snoring, second night I wasn’t so lucky 😂 but I had my earplugs anyway (which i saw they had a bowl of earplugs in anycase). I was impressed with my experience staying here, close to the center and to the train station. Easy to find

Certainly not worth the cost! Very expensive for a very mediocre stay experience. The rooms are small , bed is small, cramped and not ventilated. Staying here in summer time will be horrendous. Bathrooms are clean , but full of insects and cob webs. Friendly staff and equipped kitchen. Nothing else is positive about this place. Better book well in advance if you find no other place to reside in Oxford, else prices soar and totally unworthy!

Central, safe, convenient, clean, spacious. Stayed in the 12 bed female dorm. No en suite bathrooms but there are private toilet and shower rooms in the halls. Laundry service was wonderful, wash dry and fold for 8£. Location is a straight shot down broad street, with Christ church being even closer. Westgate mall nearby is great contemporary shopping. Staff were friendly, hostel had events scheduled, busy little place but very welcoming. Was a little loud on weekends as a club is just down the street. Would return!

Great place to stay at if you’re (solo) traveling on a budget in Oxford! It’s really close to the city center and the staff is super friendly and welcoming! I can only recommend it and I will be staying here again. Would have loved some curtains on the bed for privacy reasons but still a 10/10!

The room was lovely, with a comfy bed. Great service from staff too but there was no mention of the hostel being next to a bar which plays music extremely loud, up until 2.30am. Could not sleep with the music playing.

Yelp
As one would expect from Backpackers accommodation, there are certainly no luxuries here, though that is reflected in the price you are paying. The rooms are however, clean and there is not much noise, though this is rather dependant on your neighbours. Park End street is home to one of Oxford's major clubs, so expect to be in the midst of the nightlife. The city centre is very close, at about 5 minutes walk.

Yelp
If you stay here do not attempt to sleep until after 2 AM. There is a night club attached and the people dance and scream right outside. I promise you that headphones and earplugs will not help as the walls vibrate from the music. Also you have to be a student to go to their club so visitors are not welcome
