Central Bed & Breakfast, Kolkata

This place is a jewel. You can’t beat the location, the rooms and common area are immaculate, new, and well-cared for. The staff and management is top-notch. We felt like we were staying with family (in the best way).||Breakfast was simple, but delicious.||If you want to feel at home, with all the amenities of a quality hotel, this is the place. We loved our stay. Extra points for catering to our children. Very child friendly.

Jayant is a nice host and very helpful. He responds quickly when I have any questions or need assistance. Since I booked the B&B, he communicated with me frequently to arrange my stay, even when I arrived Kolkata at 3:00am. He trusts me for not paying by wired transfer in advance due to my country's regulation. When I arrived without any India rupees, he accepted my payment with US dollars. He also changed some money for me (with a far better rate than the airport). |I stayed in the B&B for 5 days. There were breakfast prepared on-site with fresh cooked omelet, fried rice and toast. They also served juice, coffee and fruits. |As a foreigner, water is always an issue. In the facility, there is a water purifier which produces drinkable water. During my stay in Kolkata, I did not spend a dime to purchase bottled water.|The location is good. It is waking distance to a metro station and many major attractions. The place is also safe and not far away from restaurants. |On the day I left and headed to the airport, the Uber driver had an argument on fare with me. I called Jayant, and he solved the problem in no time. Very impressive!|In summary, it is worth the value staying there. Highly recommended.

Me and my partner came here for 3 nights after a very disappointing experience in an other hotel. We arrived early, way before check in time, and they did their best to get the room ready for us. The room respond to all western high modern standards (toilets, shower, AC, tv etc) They even have a filtration air system in each room. This place look like an huge apartment that someone turned into a hotel, so it feel like home. Very nice view on the city with wall size windows in the living room and rooms. Loads of board games in commun area. The staff is not always present but they are very reactive on WhatsApp. I used the laundry service and my clothes had a nice smell and nicely fold. Highly recommend for a luxurious comfortable stay !

Excellent host who is quick to respond via WhatsApp and incredibly helpful with any questions. ||Room and apartment are clean, modern and have great WiFi and AC. Included breakfast was good also.||Location is well located and easy to get around central areas of Kolkata. Highly recommended!

They canceled our booking the day before we arrived saying a deposit hadn’t been paid which had only been requested 2 days before (booking was made weeks in advance). After receiving the message about the deposit I communicated with the owner that we would pay in full on arrival which he had no problem with. It left us with no accomodation in Kolkata when we were due to arrive the next day. Be careful when booking this property.

Host is very accommodating, great location, quality of room and includes breakfast. I would recommend staying here. Wifi is fast, AC worked well, room is very clean with great amenities also.

There are so many wonderful books to read! From renowned classics and comics to modern hits in publication, you will never get bored here. Such a great collection of board games too :) The staff is very friendly, the view in the rooms at night and in the morning in the lounge is so calming. I had a very short stay during my first visit but I plan to stay longer next time onwards.

These are essentials that contribute to the practicality and convenience of a room, and their omission was keenly felt. Even the complimentary breakfast, typically a bright spot in any stay, failed to impress. The quality and variety of offerings were below par, contributing to a sense of dissatisfaction. Considering the price invested in this stay, the underwhelming combination of limited space, lackluster service, missing amenities, and the absence of a personal touch makes it challenging for me to recommend this hotel. Those seeking a more enriching and comfortable experience may want to explore alternative accommodations.
