This is a really beautiful cemetery. There are also a lot of really beautiful murals throughout the grounds. Give yourself at least 2 to 3 hours, especially if you like to take pictures.

A hidden gem on La Paz's map. Definitely interesting to see and spend some time walking around. And if you find cemeteries creepy, this one has plenty of colourful murals to make you feel more relaxed.

While the cable-cars overhead nowadays might add a strange touch to the picture, the Cementerio General is still a beautiful and quiet place to visit within the noisy and chaotic centre of La Paz.
Tip: recently, QR codes were placed on or next to the graves of several famous Bolivians buried here. Having a QR code scanner on your smartphone will give you a bit of extra information while strolling around the Cementerio General.
