Received the most GORGEOUS arrangement yesterday at work for my birthday and it was definitely the talk of the office- everyone was commenting how beautiful and fresh the flowers were and they smelled amazing too! Thank You central florist for making my birthday extra special!

Central florist is the best florist around. The freshest flowers the freshest arrangements sell so many other things than just flowers. You should go and check it out on Central Avenue in Valley Stream Lisa and her staff are amazing.

Ordered a self designed sympathy floral arrangement from Lisa the owner. She was very efficient and listened to what I wanted. She kept up with me that week to make sure that her business accommodated what I asked and in a timely fashion. The arrangement was beautiful and the flowers were beautiful and fresh. My family was pleased. I would not think of using anyone else in this area of NYC for a florist. Central Florist in The Queens NY area is the best. I highly recommend them.

I feel it was very pricey and charged me 5$ extra to put the little green extra decorations leaves . No where else have they charged me extra for that . Won’t be going back . The lady was nice but the prices were not.

Great service and beautiful flower arrangements. I ordered an arrangement through the website for delivery. The website has lots of pictures and is very user friendly, and easy to navigate. The payment process was painless. I received an email confirmation right away, stating my order was received. I didn't notice my special request in the confirmation so I emailed the owner, Lisa, right away. Lisa confirmed that she did receive my special request and happily included a butterfly in the flowers. She also refused my offer of any additional payment. Thank you for your kindness, Lisa. I received another confirmation email when the flowers were loaded up in the truck, on their way to be delivered. Not too long after, I received a third confirmation email once the delivery had been made, and that final email also outlined who received the flowers at the door, upon delivery. The entire experience was positive and the constant communication was much appreciated. It made me feel at ease knowing that my flowers were received by the correct person. It was nice to get real-time updates throughout the entire process. The flowers were beautiful and fresh, and they were delivered in a timely manner. The arrangement that was delivered looked very similar to what I chose on the website and I am overall very happy with the outcome. Thank you again, Lisa. You went above and beyond and I can't express how grateful I am.

Central Florist is a staple in the Community. I will never forget how Lisa the owner left all of her fresh flowers outside of her store to be taken by anyone who needed a sense of normalcy during COVID, not to mention the donation of all the flowers for the walk a thon of a child who passed away tragically. I had forgotten to order a corsage for my daughters Prom in advance. The first Florist I ran to turned me down and I am SO HAPPY they did. I got the MOST BEAUTIFUL finger corsage and pocket square I have ever seen. Such attention to detail. I made a huge error forgetting to pre order and they still went all out on my order. Received flowers yesterday, was very disappointed, they looked like no effort was taken to put them together. It’s unfortunate that when a person orders flowers they don’t get to see what they ordered. I realize that Mother’s Day is a busy time, but my son ordered them a week before , and they were surely expensive, but not worth the cost.

Donna took my order and was so helpful the flowers were very nice and they made something in my price range that I asked for to afford. My mother loved them the roses are the best and healthiest also make nice custom holiday pieces

I didn't comment on your business by mistake. Your on central ave in the same block as chase. M. Duval is my name. Your associate said I had 3 profiles open when I last bought flowers so I'm not a new client. They quoted me almost $100 for a dozen roses. Then asked me what my budget was and I told the they made me an okay bouquet. The flowers didn't last long and it wasn't stunning. Losing hope on florist in general the art is gone the prices are outrageous on something that will wither away in less then a week.

I went in to order flowers for a birthday. It was last minute and didn't think it would be able to be done but the owner Lisa said don't worry they will get it delivered the same day for me. It was my first time using them. They sent a beautiful arrangement and kept me up to date via email and sent me a picture once it was delivered! I know everything is more expensive today but I feel I got my monies worth.They even have a great gift shop the too. My go to now for any gift that I need. Thanks Lisa and get staff! I'll be back for sure.

I usually order flowers for my friends birthday from " another website". I knew that everything had gone up but the service fees, admin fees, delivery fees and taxes came out to MORE than the price of the actual flowers! I found this shop and asked her about the arrangement that I liked and the price was WAY more reasonable. The flowers were beautiful and the delivery person called me and sent me pictures once the flowers got to their destination. My friend loved them and I will be using this florist in the future! It pays to Shop Locally!

I am incredibly excited to have found Central Florist. My initial experience with Central Florist was a delivery order where I had received a thank you call from the floral arrangement recipient. She raved about the arrangement and stated that she'd never seen such a beautiful arrangement! Today I personally walked into Central Florist to place another order. I was warmly greeted by Lisa-Marie. There is no other florist and floral business for me. Their customer service is above and beyond. Shopping florists are finished. Lisa Marie is the sweetest! I was driving around all day looking for eucalyptus to put in my office with no success. I stopped at a florist who was selling them for $15 a stalk. I was feeling defeated, but I stopped by Lisa's store in a last ditch effort before I got to work and I'm so glad I did! She gave me MORE than I needed for a THIRD of the price the last florist offered and I had enough to put in my office, home and I still gave some away. I'll be a regular here, without a doubt. She treated me like I was her family. Thanks again, Lisa!

My son from Florida had flowers from Central Florist sent to me for Mothers Day. Lisa calmed his concerns. When the flowers were delivered, I received a phone call stating the flowers were at my home and where I could find them. The flowers were gorgeous.

Now try the best. Owner is overly concerned to give you exactly what you want. The customer is her first priority. This ain't 1800 flowers. When they answer the phone or walk in the door. It's all about you. They will work with your budget.

I live in Florida and needed flowers for my mom recovering from hip replacement surgery. She's at a rehab in Valley Stream, NY. I found Central Florist online, placed an order on their site, and the flowers were promptly delivered to the facility. Mom loved them!! Thanks Central, great job! I highly recommend this company. I was thinking to give a surprise to my wife on Valentine's Day. I spent $90 dollars and want the flower deliver to her office. However, I was very disappointed and angry. My wife did not receive the flower during her office hours. We also had to wait for the flower at my wife office parking lots more than a hour until 7 pm evening. After we received the flower, it was damaged and the packing materials was soaked and wet. This is unbelievable and ridiculous. I will not order flower from this florist shop again and do not recommend to anyone. This a real story and please reconsider when you order flower form this shop.

I have received flowers from Central Florist multiple times. Every bouquet has been stunning! I smile every time I look at the breathtaking, gorgeous flowers. I highly recommend this shop for all your floral needs.

They have nice arrangements but when you assess value for money I'm not pleased. I purchased a bouquet for Mother's Day- what ever the price is, I feel like the final product should be something really nice (just in proportion to the price) but I didn't think my bouquet was nice at alI. It looked really 'put together' and not like a nice arrangement. I could have spent $35 at the grocery for 1 dozen roses and gotten better value. All in all, this is a nice florist, great friendly team and they have some nice arrangements, but no value for money. It's a bit overpriced compared to other places.

I went into the shop to get a bouquet for a vow renewal. I wanted something that was small but elegant. The final decision was 3 white roses and 2 burgundy Cali lilies. The bouquet was set to be ready the following week. My husband picked up the flowers, however when he returned home the I immediately was disappointed. The arrangement looked nothing like what was discussed. But thankfully I was able to call the next day early enough for them to make a replacement bouquet that was exactly what I asked for. It was beautiful!

Nice to deal with Lisa. The recipient loved the flowers which we had ordered. Definitely will order again from Central Florist.

I'm needed to send flowers for someone who came home from the hospital. The woman I spoke to was lovely, the flowers were sent within a couple of hours, and the receipent loved them. Since I am in California, this was a smooth and enjoyable transaction. Thank you, Alyssa.

So I'm a bit late writing this review, but better late than never yea? I hope Ms. Jeanette (sp) sees this! She is so sweet, I told her I wish I could take her back home with me to California. Great customer service is rare to find now a days, so my family and I thank you again and again for being so sweet, and creating such beautiful bouquets for our grammy, who by the way cried when she saw us walk in with the flowers :) My family and I just got off the plane from Cali and my sister wanted to get some flowers for our grandmother. We yelped local florists and thankfully ended up missing our exit to the "kinda" flower shop on Roosevelt Avenue. I say kinda because after reading the reviews about the shop I discovered it wasn't really a flower shop, but they sell like arrangements and stuff. I don't remember the name but, I decided to search yelp again, this time looking for a shop closer to my grama's house. Thankfully, yelp lead us to Central Florist, where we met Ms. Jeanette. She greeted us immediately and went to work assisting us with the bouquets. We had a good time laughing and joking with her while we waited for our arrangements. After paying and thanking her for our beautiful flowers, we went in our car and couldn't stop talking about how sweet she was and what a beautiful job she did on the bouquets. I ran back inside to give her a hug and thanked her again for her kindness. Ms. Jeanette, I hope you see this! You rock and your kindness and hospitality set the tone of our trip :) We hope all is well with you!

I went to this shop 30 min. Before closing time ......lights were on. No one answered the door. Bummer.

My boyfriend overseas likes to surprise me with arrangements on occasion. The arrangements are always fresh and beautiful! Also, the delivery men are always so nice.

Great job with the arrangement. However the worker did not understand how to deduct the voucher from the purchase. So I got over charged.

My experience with Central Florist from my wedding last year was nothing short of amazing so I disagree with the previous reviews. I visited the store about three times prior to my wedding date and I never felt like Lisa and her staff were just doing my floral arrangements. They were team members to me; working together to make sure my arrangements were outstanding and beautiful. I had full trust in them and their ideas that my flowers would be beautiful and elegant, and I was not in the least way dissapointed at all. My guests and my whole bridal party were impressed, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Lisa, thank you again for everything.

Ordered through "From You Flowers" 1. They changed the flowers in my order 2. They wrote the message for me, but made a typo: "happy than" instead of "happier than" 3. This is the bad one... They signed the card with the WRONG NAME!! At her work, they all thought the flowers came from one of the other workers there! Very awkward for everyone! In addition, she now doesn't have a sweet card to put in her scrap book, which yes, does matter to some people. Besides, I did pay for that, so giving me something I didn't pay for is complete BS if you ask me. I was told they would be willing to "call and apologize." Are you kidding me? that's how you rectify this? I simply cannot recommend them for the fact that I have no reason to believe this won't happen again. In other words... expect errors.

I have used Central Florist for numerous occasions, birthday's, funerals, etc. I have never dealt with a florist that made me feel like I had a Friend in the flower business. Every detail is always perfect and I would recommend them for anything, anytime! There is a second store in Franklin Square which I have recommended to several friends in that area and they also were thrilled! Pass the word, Central Florist is the best!

Sometimes it's hard to pick out gifts for others but central florists nailed it and gave me their insight on how I should present my flowers to my girlfriend. I definitely recommend this place. Central florist are friendly and what captured my attention is how caring and focus they are about their customers.

This review is long overdue . I was asked today to recommend a florist in Valley Stream , the first words out of my mouth were "Don't go to Central Florist". In 2012 , my daughter-in-laws sister was tragically killed in a car accident. We were able to make the wake, but unable to attend the funeral. We ordered 2 fruit baskets to be delivered to the house after the services. We were told that the baskets would arrive early afternoon. We called several times throughout the day and were told the baskets were in route . They did not get delivered until after 5 pm. At that point all the guests had already left. We felt horrible , and were totally embarrassed. I will never use them again and will certainly not recommend them. We never received an apology or explanation.

I ordered flowers from L.A. sight unseen from this wonderful Florist. The Roses are still looking fresh even though they were delivered a week ago. The person I spoke to was very sweet and helpful.

I have lived in the ValleyStream/ Hewlett area most of my life.I could pick and choose from several florist in the area however....I would not use any other florist accept Central florist. When my mother passed away suddenly we booked Lisa to do all of my families arrangements from the moment we walked through the florist door Lisa was there to greet us and assist us with the floral decisions.She was so kind and patient and gave us undivided attention, we were impressed with the amount of detail that Lisa showed with each floral peice.This was the most difficult time in our lives, Lisa treated us like family, we were very touched by her understanding and dedication.Our arrangements were delivered to Moore funeral home ahead time,the flower quality was excellent,Sadly 5 weeks later our father passed away we were faced again with a florist decision,who would we trust to ensure a professional outcome for our fathers funeral.We chose Lisa once again.We were more than pleased again. We would highly recommend Lisa and her staff to you for any floral order because you can rely on her for a perfectly professional outcome.

Rick was simply amazing, I called placed an order for same day delivery he prepared an beautiful arrangement and it was delivered under an hour. He helped me get out the dog house! I would highly recommend doing business here.

Last minute, my son was asked to escort a young lady to her prom. I needed a corsage and Central Florist were very accommodating regarding this last minute request. In 3 hours they had it ready for me and it was beautiful! I would definitely use them again.

They are doing some renovation work in the store but still they responded immediately and still was able to make a beautiful bouquet of flowers for my wife's 50th birthday. They definitely have a future customer in me.

Service with a smile, helpful, easy to talk to, and if for whatever reason they don't have something you want, they can get it and everyone that I've dealt with there is great! Flowers are beautiful and the Christmas Wreaths and Blankets are always wonderful!

My boyfriend had purchased Valentine's Day roses for me from Central Florist this year and unfortunately they died after a couple of days. I called Central Florist with my dilemma and I couldn't have been more pleased with their customer service. Not only did I get another beautiful bouquet of roses, I got a thorough lesson on how to take care of flowers. The reason the first bouquet died was because I was not knowledgeable on how to take care of flowers apparently. Central Florist taught me to change the water every couple of days with the temperature being luke warm, cut the end of each stem on an angle and keep the flowers in a dark area because sunlight kills them, who knew!?! With all this being said, today is Thursday March 28th and my flowers just started to become slightly brown! It's been a little over 5 weeks and they're still alive! This is the only florist I will use from now on!

Our family ordered flowers for the birthday of our 91 year old mother/grandmother. We left specific instructions in writing with the order, and then followed up with a phone call and voice mail instructions, asking that if she was not there the flowers should be left at her apartment door. At 91, it would be very difficult for her to carry the flowers any distance, hence the request. However, either Central Florist did not bother to provide this guidance to its delivery person, or the delivery person chose to just ignore it and instead brought the flowers to an office in the next building (my mother had gone out briefly to Rite Aid). It was absolutely impossible for her to get the flowers from there. With the help of some friends we managed to recover, but Central Florist's abysmal Customer Service made what was supposed to be a nice surprise into a very difficult situation. We will never be using their services again!
