Central Hotel

This has been our second time staying at this great hotel in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Athens. It is in proximity to restaurants, high-fashion shops, Plaka, and to the Acropolis. Some of the rooms in the hotel as well as the terrace restaurant/bar have a view of the Acropolis. The breakfast buffet is superb and the service is excellent. The rooms are of a fair size and great for a comfortable base whilst staying at the historical center of Athens. The staff of the hotel is very professional and they provided us with great service from the booking of our room to the reception and in general with all our requirements. Highly recommended when visiting Athens.

This location is in the heart of the city. We walked to dinner every day, and the area felt very safe. The breakfast is good and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Front desk staff are helpful. The view of the Acropolis from our room was great. An unexpected benefit was that we found an easy wash laundromat within 3 blocks and were able to wash and dry our clothes.

The hotel is centrally located and about 5-10 minute walk to all of the Athens sites. We felt safe walking the area at all hours. The inside was nice with different areas to sit and relax. The morning breakfast was superb. Lots of options and it was delicious. The rooms and bathrooms were small but expected as most European hotels. The beds were very comfortable. The rooftop restaurant was great with wonderful views of the acropolis.

The hotel was aesthetically pleasing, and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent and had choices for everyone's palate. The front desk staff need some support in providing information on the city's historical and archeological aspects of the city/country. I was dismayed when I asked a young woman at the front desk a question about a museum I wanted to visit, and her response was "I don't like museums." lol. Although a bit humourous, as I myself have worked at a front desk of a hotel, being the face of the city and community the it's rather important to have some basic information for tourists coming to your hotel to utilize during their stay. Especially an old world city such as Athens.

The staff and the rooms and the breakfast were all excellent with amazing service. Rooms are very comfortable and everyone is extremely helpful. When your leave early they even give you a lunch to take with you.|Dave from Saskatchewan Canada

Great location. View of Acropolis from our room. Pretty awesome. Had a reservation at Roof top terrace restaurant but the night we arrived it had rained that day so they were serving only indoors. Too bad. But I did go out and take some photos. Food pretty expensive but good. Hotel room was comfortable and clean.

Overall this was a good hotel in a central, tourist local in the heart of all the action, but quiet enough to retreat. I had some issues with my room and was provided a Superior twin room when requested a Superior double room, even though I emailed the hotel 3 times prior to avoid this at check in with no reply. It was found there was an issue with the third party provider booking engine and the information transferred to the hotel systems. The staff at the hotel reception were reluctant to assist at first over the phone, however once I went down and spoke with them, the female staff member (forgot her name) was more willing to help than the male I spoke with over the phone. They assisted with a room change for the next day, and accommodated an immediate room change for the twin room due to some noise issues. After this initial hiccup (it happens when travelling), it was a much better experience. The twin room with openable French doors with views of the Acropolis was smaller than the double room with balcony/terrance with city views, much preferred the second room, Superior Double with Balcony/Terrace. Bed was comfortable, lots of cupboard and storage space, and ample room in the bathroom. Elevators were good, however if you had to wait there was another small Euro style you could use, although it literally fits 2 people, or you and your luggage. Breakfast selection was wide and delicious, and rooftop bar very nice with amazing views of city and Acropolis. Location was fantastic, right in the heart of the tourist area, so many choices of restaurants, bars, shops, transport etc... smack bang in the middle between Syntagma Square and Monastiraki Square, very easy to walk everywhere and located on a quiet street to relax after a day of exploring, balcony/terrace was lovely to relax on with a Frappe and pastry after a long day. You are spoiled for choice with the amount of selection around you! Laundry place 2 doors down with express same day service at a great price. I would recommend this hotel as it was clean, good housekeeping, wifi, breakfast and location.

The hotel is located within walking distance of every attraction and entertainment area which is excellent, the rooms are not large but adequate, when the window is closed the noise level is very, very low and does not disturb sleep at all, the breakfast is basic and sufficient, the hotel has paid or free parking and also late check-out is pre-approved depending on the type of room Those who choose should pay attention to the fine print when booking the room, we got a room with a balcony that was listed on the website as having a view but the view was a cluster of very old buildings and not beyond. The restaurent on the roof of the hotel has view of the Acropolis giving a pleasant atmosphere to sit down for dinner or even just to have a drink, recommended.
