This hotel has three clear positives. Firstly it is excellently located in central Athens and close to all places of interest. Secondly it has a delightful roof top bar and thirdly the staff were friendly and helpful . The clear negative is that the rooms are incredibly small and although we had a luxury double room it was impossible to find a space for a second suitcase. The bathroom was nothing short of a cupboard. One could reasonably expect a larger room given the cost of a room.

We have really enjoyed our hotel rooms. Although they are not as spacious as we are used to in the united states, they were very clean, and we love the view from our bedroom. The rooftop restaurant himbar, it was amazing. Such an opportunity for great pictures of the Acropolis.

In my opinion the only thing going for this hotel is location. I have worked in the travel business for many yrs. Firstly don't book a courtyard room, You are literally 2 feet away from the rooms opposite. with a very dark room. I was only staying 3 nights so wasn't the end of the world. I did ring down to reception and enquired about this, and was informed that was what I had booked, I was more than happy to pay to upgrade however I was literally cut off before having time to explain to them that I wasn't happy with the bathroom in the room . I would like to add I didn't book the room, my work did. So honestly if you're thinking of going pay extra for the room. I went down to reception and had to show photos, the room was 211 for reference. we were then offered a different room 509, In this one the shower head was literally hanging off the wall, I couldn't be bothered to go back, as i wanted to start my day. |Reception staff, especially the guy with black rimmed glasses was very rude and abrupt when we were asking for guidance on transportation. Think that's been the least help I have ever been given in over 30 odd yrs in my job from reception staff. The girls on reception seemed nicer and more helpful in my opinion. There was a really lovely barman waiter at the roof top bar in the afternoon when we went up there. The breakfast was ok but nothing to write home about. However you cannot fault the location about 10 minutes walk to Acropolis & many other tourist sites.

Very comfortable and centrally located. Great rooftop bar with view of the Acropolis. Alexis was very helpful when we needed a mid afternoon snack after lunch had finished.

We had previously stayed at this hotel and had a great experience, but unfortunately this visit was extremely disappointing. The bathroom was in poor condition, with visible black mould in the corners of the shower and on the walls. After sleeping in the bed, I woke up with multiple bites across my body, which strongly suggests the presence of bed bugs. The service from staff was also well below standard — every question we asked was met with unhelpful responses and an attitude that felt more judgmental than accommodating. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

There was an incredibly loud concert in one of the restaurants outside the hotel. We called reception multiple times to get it dealt with, and they said they couldn’t do anything about it. We asked if they could move us to a room on the other side of the building and they said they were fully booked, which is absolutely inconsistent with how empty the hotel seemed when we were there.|| I don’t understand the point of paying €200 to get a good night’s sleep before a flight if the hotel can’t ensure its guests actually get a rest. Would absolutely not stay again - do not stay here.

Love this place... Right in the heart of Athens where everything is walking distance. I did not need to rent any car or scooter while I stayed. Breakfast Buffet was also included. Had ayce with cappuccino's 🤣 and croissant.. Only gripe is the smell of wet in the bathroom. If you do stay here, you have to up on Terrace at night and have dinner or some drinks. One of the best views of Acropolis at night... 🫶

I rarely write reviews but felt this needed to be put out there. We really wanted to love the Central Hotel however the room we were given was directly below the rooftop restaurant. The first night the noise from about started about 5am and didn't stop. The following nights the constant banging on the ceiling started about 5pm and continued to about 2am. When I called the front desk about the noise I was told there was nothing they could do. We had booked everything through a local travel service in Athens who called over the next morning when they then relented and offered to move us to another room. This was our last night so moving everything wasn't feasible. This was the worst hotel experience of my life.
