Central Hotel

The hotel is in a good location. In a quiet street but close to the main areas. The rooftop bar has a great view of the acropolis. Food and drinks are expensive there though. Much cheaper to eat and drink outside the hotel. Breakfast was good and there was a good choice of food. Hotel staff were great and very helpful. ||I was disappointed with our room. We paid for a deluxe double room and got 2 single beds pushed together and the room was extremely cramped as was the bathroom. Not enough room to walk around the bed. No room for suitcases. The room had a view of the acropolis but we had to put our suitcases next to the window so we couldn’t get close enough to see it! The shower wasn’t great either and the shower curtain smelled damp during our stay. The bathroom door had a 6inch gap at the bottom which, for obvious reasons, was not satisfactory. We stayed 2 nights and the drinking water in the room wasn’t replenished. We had a much better experience at the acropolis select hotel.

I loved this hotel; it’s located at a convenient spot in the centre, as the name indicates! It’s sort of a boutique and nice hotel, offering enough spacy rooms. You can easily walk around the centre. The view on the rooftop restaurant is amazing, facing Acropolis of Athens! I loved the room, it had a balcony and looking onto the street! I stayed at this hotel for the weekend city escape and loved it! Breakfast is nicely serves, offered a variety of options and was delicious. The rooftop restaurant was offering tasty food and drinks. The hotel staff is amazing. Overall, the experience is good. In means of pricing, it’s reasonable. Highly recommended!

We actually stayed in November of 2024. I did not review this Hotel at the time because we were there 1 night before a 28 day cruise back to Ft. Lauderdale. And after the trip it really just slipped my mind. But we absolutely loved it. We are in the process of returning to Athens, something I never thought we would do, and have spent a good deal of time searching for this hotel. With all the choices available, we absolutely would not stay anywhere else. It is the perfect location and the staff is amazing. The breakfast was fantastic and amazing for me because they actually had gluten free bread, which was an unexpected blessing. The room had a balcony, comfortable bed and was so clean.

The hotel is situated in a desirable location, close to shopping, cafes, bars, restaurants, and other attractions. Breakfast was pleasant. The front desk team, including Nikos and Kostas, provided a warm and inviting reception. Unfortunately, our bathroom was not cleaned to a satisfactory standard, and the shower did not drain properly. Also, the bed was excessively hard, lacking the comfort expected of a mattress. We did not sleep good. It felt like we were sleeping in a box spring. This experience was disappointing. We probably will never come back to this hotel.

The room was comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. The terrace was lovely with great views.HOWEVER it was impossible to sleep in my room on the 6th floor due to the excessive noise from the terrace above and noise from neighboring rooms. The terrace and restaurant was closed on my second night for a private party with live music. It felt and sounded like the band was in my room! This is not good enough for any hotel and I would not stay there again despite its good points

The hotel overall was great! The room was pretty small, but the service and location made up for it. There is a rooftop terrace with a beautiful view of the acropolis - mesmerizing views and great drinks up here!

The hotel was in very good condition – clean, tidy, and well-maintained. It was located in a nice and safe neighborhood, close to both the Acropolis and the bazaar, and we felt perfectly comfortable walking around the area, even at night. The air conditioning worked flawlessly and could be easily adjusted to suit our needs. The aircondition had a good airflow, circulating the air evenly throughout the room rather than blowing in just one spot. Housekeeping came every day to clean the room and make the bed, and we received fresh towels almost daily. The room had a refrigerator that we could stock with water, soft drinks, or anything else we wanted. It did make some noise at night, but that was easily solved with a pair of earplugs. One minor drawback was the bathroom. The toilet had a frosted glass door, and there was also a frosted glass window between the bathroom and the bedroom. This meant that you could hear everything and see silhouettes from inside. For this reason, we wouldn’t recommend this room layout to newly-in-love couples – or to anyone not entirely comfortable with each other.

Room was small and felt a little low cost. The bed was comfortable.|Bathroom was very small but had everything I needed.|The view was lovely and we loved the terrace restaurant.|Reception staff were pleasant and helpful.|The biggest issue was excessive noise. There was a party on the terrace with a live singer which may as well have been in my room from the noise level. It was horrendous. There seems to be little or no soundproofing. I could clearly hear conversations from the roof, 2 stories down.
