Central Hotel - Bar, Bistro, Gaming & Accommodation

In town for a recent sporting event the Central Hotel is exactly that, right in the centre of Hobart CBD. The rooms are massive and plenty of space. The ensuite is very spacious as well. Plenty of nearby activities being in the middle of the city, including markets, restaurants and shops. Very safe walking around the city but always practice caution in a modern city but overall it's a safe area. Easy to walk around with the hotel situated in the city and everything you need is all close by. Complimentary coffee and tea is in the hotel room and plenty of restaurants, cafes and take away places are just outside the hotel. I didn't get a chance to go to the downstairs pub / bistro but the menu looks brilliant.

We had a great experience at Central Hotel .Scott, Sas and Sharon really looked after us. The central is in a fantastic location, close to all the attractions. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and the mashed potato was a standout

Very nice and clean room, located on top of a casino. I was surprised by its location, but it exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and quality. We had a very nice stay! The only drawback was that you could hear the tv from the room next door, so it is not perfectly soundproof I’d say, but we had a lovely stay regardless.

Quiet Beer & Gaming - good location, close to the city, sports bar is bigger than most in Hobart (that I've seen). Service is slow and impolite, and the TAB machine consistently stops working. Not all staff can service the machine. If you are looking for similar, I would recommend the Workers Club, they have clean facilities and service is far more friendly and available all the time.

Never staying here again, got charged an extra $100 because our 2 year old spilled Milo on the bedding. They threatened to call the police if we didn’t pay the extra. They complained about the room being messy and dirty after we left even though we had 2 young kids with us.

Close to cbd. No parking but undercover parking near by. Basic rooms but that's all we needed. Good service and easy checking.

Good value, comfortable bed. Clean. Would stay again. 2 things you MUST know. 1) The accomodation is at the top of a fair flight of steps. No offer to help with bags 2) quite a lot of noise comes up from the bar. Lucky I wasn't there on band nights. They close at reasonable hours, though.

For a pub, the room was excellent. The initial customer service first impression wasn't great.... I'm here to check into accommodation? "Go over there". Actual pub looks pretty uneventful but i was here for accommodation and overall that was good.
