Visited for 1 night in a twin room. We were on the 5th floor. Room was small but ok for what 1 night. It was clean, some dated decor. |It was a hot day and night while we were there, there is no AC, there is a fan bit just blows hot air around.|Our room looked onto the plaza which was noisy with people and traffic most of the night.|The location is great right opposite the train, tram and bus station.|Staff were very friendly and welcoming

The staff and location were perfect. Convient to transportation. Great! The cafe on site has excellent food and service. It’s a great spot to plan your day and people watch. The rooms and beds were very comfortable. The hotel has a great historic feel. I’d definitely stay again.

Conveniently located next to the central train station. Need a central place, close to transportation and dining options, and this where we ended up. A 2-3 min walk to the central train station, a subway line, several malls and eating places. Uber was about 21 euros from the airport, and there is an S5 train also from the airport. Rooms were nice, a bit on the small side, a small fridge, and with the traditional separate covers for 2 people sleeping on a large bed. Staff spoke English and check-in and check-out was processed efficiently. One bar located on the hotel premises that also served a somewhat limited selection of food. On a couple of afternoons, we had refreshments on the outside tables right next to the hotel entrance. A nice covered spot to kick back, but there are homeless people who wander in the open plaza fronting the train station, and may attempt to panhandle for money, including this restaurant area. Since my room overlooked the open plaza facing the train station, somehow the window did not completely seal completely, so some outside noise leaked in, including those from the homeless people. But despite all this, when we walked outside during the day or early evenings, I did not feel unsafe. All in all, it was an adequate place and willingly paid a bit more for the centralized convenience. If the hotel had more amenities, that would have really been great.

For those used to 5* experience the rooms maybe a little small, however they have been decorated in sympathy with the building. Entering the hotel directly opposite the main Hannover station you enter a bright reception area. A small sitting area is available to read or watch the world go by. Behind this is the bar, leading to the restaurant and the Central Cafe. Each of the socialising areas are on different levels, and although there is a lift to the rooms, I would not recommend for people with mobility problems. Food in the restaurant is first class and the service is excellent - even though the restaurant was busy the staff remained calm, professional and friendly. Breakfast is in the Central Cafe, but the best tables are often reserved for ‘outside guests/parties’, so hotel guests have to sit on the lower deck which has little natural light.

The Kaiserhof is friendly and welcoming, perfectly located on the plaza around Hannover HBhf for quick access to the trains, shops, trams, taxis and all places in central Hannover. I booked a double room here, but when I entered it I found it was incredibly hot and faced the station, so I could tell it was going to be very noisy all night, and I asked to change rooms. They had no other doubles available, and I had to settle for a very small cramped single room - but they still charged me for a double room! 2 Stars knocked off for that........||Breakfast was good with a large buffet, although some of the waiting staff were a bit hit or miss on their levels of service. I didn't try the small bar or the seated area outside as I just slept here and was out on the trains all day during my visit, but they looked good. It's so close to the station that I could be there and back in under 60 seconds. It's clean and the WiFi is good. ||Front desk staff were friendly and spoke good English. I would have liked to have stayed longer there.

Hotel 4 of 6 on my Euro trip. ||I originally booked 3 nights here but due to a German railway strike I only stayed 2 nights and the hotel kept the room for me although still charged me 3 nights city tax but fair enough I originally booked 3 nights.||After a long 9 hour journey I arrived and saw the glowing red lights on the outdoor area and thought to myself won't that be a nice place to relax for a few beers before heading to bed ||After I checked in and dropped my bags at 10:30 I headed downstairs for a beer only to be informed that yes I can have a beer but they close at 11pm. Ok, fair enough but at this stage I had a thirst of a thousand camels so had my beer rapidly and ordered another to be told that's my last one. At 10:45 I arrived back in to hopefully get another beer but the counter was empty. I asked at reception if the girl was still around and she eventually came at 10:50. ||Asked for a beer and was told she'd just cleaned up and was finished. When I pointed out the time she relented and begrudgingly gave me a beer which I finished before the ridiculous 11pm curfew. Bear in mind I did tell her I was a resident and enquired about a residents bar.||This annoyed me so much that I could find no other positives in the hotel. First impressions and all that. My room was a twin with the smallest single beds I've ever encountered on any of my trips. It was also very cold with no obvious way to control the temperature and I ended up using the other blanket from the single bed beside me just to keep warm. The TV was tiny and outdated, there was hardly any plug sockets for charging devices except those that you had to move furniture to reach, the shower was ok but don't expect a deep scrub! There was a desk with a view of a wall and a welcome guide that was empty except for a flyer that you'd pick up in the lobby anyways. No blackout curtains which didn't really matter as the light couldn't reach the window due to the view being a wall ||The only positive was a complimentary mini bar with some beers, juice, water and peanuts. The location is also excellent directly across from the main station and that is why it gets an extra Star.||I probably would have tried breakfast but due to the first nights debacle I didn't bother. Overall a disappointing stay and only for I got a good rate on hotels.com Vs paying their direct rates I would never have stepped foot on this premises. ||This may have been the worst hotel of my trip so far. What was once I'm sure was a grand hotel in it's day is in need of serious renovation especially with modern funky hotels such as the prizotel and premier Inn on the opposite side of the station for half the price. ||If you can't provide grandeur and least provide the basics.

Yelp
It was truly the worst hotel I have ever stayed during my 31 years of traveling and 100s of hotels I have stayed. There is no Air Condition in the rooms, and on hot days the room is like furnace. It is impossible to stay in. You cannot open the window due to the noise and screaming people on the street. These people must not know AC or HVAC system or ceiling fan or desk fan or anything to circulate the air or do not want to spend any money on the hotel. Room is outdated, worn-out, and extremely small. The bed is next to wall and it is not designed for adult. It is a kid bed. This is not a $488.65 a night 4-star hotel. You cannot fit to bed and cannot even turn in it. Your arms hit the wall. Your legs are out of bed. Room looks like $39 a night, run down no star hotel. In same days, there were only 1 towel in the room, just one towel. There is not a single English language channel on TV (no CNN, BBC, or Sports channel or a Movie channel). The existing channels are all low definition German speaking channels. You try to use the streaming services on your laptop, but this time the internet is not reliable. You cannot stream anything. Not to mention no coffee or tea during breakfast on weekend due to only 1 person serving many. The hotel could have been 4 star may be 25 years ago but it definitely worth no star. Due to trade show week and it was pre-paid there was absolutely nothing else available so that we could check-out unfortunately.

This is my preferred hotel in when I 'm here for work. The location is perfect, and the rooms are comfortably furnished and lovely.
