Postives: Good location in the city centre. Very clean rooms. Facilities are quite new or at least very well taken care of. Friendly staff. Nice rooftop bar. Comfy beds and pillows. Big rooms. Negatives: The hotel is more a youth hostel. This is not a bad thing as such, but not what I expected. Reception is at the last floor with the bar, which means slightly longer waiting time for check in-out or getting coffee in the morning. No breakfast as such offered, as it is only available at a neighbouring pastry shop on the ground floor. The toilet and shower are only separated from the room by a sliding glass door, which provides little intimacy (I was alone and it was not much of an issue, but would have disliked it a lot if I travelled with my partner, for instance). There were no glasses/cups in the room and no minibar. If you need anything, you have to get it from the bar that closes at 10.

The rooms are nice, modern and always well cleaned. However there are no cabinets or whatsoever to store any clothes except for a few clothes hangers, so maybe good for a short weekend trip, but not longer. Also, the toilets have just a sliding glass door which does not completely seal it. Also, breakfast is no longer served at the hotel. There are some great places for brunch nearby though

Very cool and original hostel! We stayed in the tents, which are wooden huts on the terrace, so you are acutally sleeping on the roof of the building. The only problem is that the tents get really warm during the summer and the ventilation doesn't work that well. We solved by leaving the tent door open! Besides this I suggest they forbid smoking on this part of the terrace, so that the guests staying there won't be bothered by the smell of sigarettes. The facilities were all clean and easily accessible. The only problem was that the shower drain was clogged up. We didn't use the other facilities like the kitchen and common area, but they all seemed clean and big! Overall it was a very nice stay! The staff was very helpful and friendly. Bonus is that the location perfect and it was a short walk to the city center!

There are several points to criticize: - breakfast is not worth it if you have to pay extra for it (15 € per person is definitely too overpriced) - staff at the café is not really friendly and also not really motivated. Lack of food selection and quality. - staff at the hotel is friendly but stressed due to the lack of employees at the front desk: they have to do check-in and drinks at the same time, sometimes there is just one person working. (Management should make sure that there is more staff to ensure the service level of a four star hotel which is definitely not the case at the moment) - reception on the 7th floor: would be better to be downstairs. You are not allowed to use staircases which I don't understand, so you always need to wait for an available elevator. Positive aspects: - hotel room and comfortable beds - located closed to the city center/old town/train station

Really impressed with the Central Hotel. Very clean and the room and bathroom facilities were great. Really nice rain shower which was so nice! Check in at reception is on the top floor which was different to the usual bottom floor. The hotel is located just a 5 minute walk from the bus station and the train station. It is also very close to the city center and about a 10 minute walk to the Ljubljana Castle. The staff were very friendly and explained everything we wanted to know and gave us a complementary Central Hotel branded aluminium water bottle! The cafe on the ground floor had a lovely breakfast menu!

Great modern Business Hotel with all the amenities you need and friendly staff. Very clean room and comfortable beds. Less than 10 minutes walk to the main square in the old town. Parking garage right next door (convenient parking location, but rather expensive to park there). Will definitely stay there again.

The location is excellent, only a couple of minutes of walk to the centre. The rooms are modern but relatively small. The reception is in the middle of the hotel's bar, and the receptionists are the waiters. The staff won't serve you in a bar if guests are trying to check in, as "the reception is a priority". We were tired of waiting, so we left the bar after some time. Also, you can not exit the building using the stairs, only using elevators. Every time we wanted to go out, we waited for up to 10 minutes to go from the second floor to the ground floor.

If breakfast in the hotel is important for you I cannot recommend this place. It's rather a joke than a real meal. First of all you can chose only one worm meal which isn't very good. Secondly the buffet is croissants, some bread, quasi-Nutella, jam, no ham or cheese. Finally the service was the worst - mad at the world and unfortunately, is taking it out on you. One feels there like an uninvited guest. What is more they have not their own parking but a city one, very expensive, which cost 25 € per 24h.
