Central Hotel Post Chur

Hotel Post is a modest city hotel. Built in 1925, renovated in 2016, Hotel Post is located in the pedestrian area of Chur, at 500m from the railway station and offers 50 rooms over 5 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a clean and practical atmosphere. Service is friendly and helpful. Till at 21h00 the reception closes, complementary tea or coffee. Our room had desk & table, wardrobe with safe, OK double bed, TV on the wall. Window can open and have roller-shutters. We had a small separate bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. All was clean. An OK buffet breakfast: eggs, cold cuts & cheeses, breads & rolls, cereals & fruits, milk & yoghurts, juices & preserves, cake & croissants, tea & coffee. Hotel Post is a friendly hotel, and a practical choice for one or two nights. Recommended.

Great location and nice staff. Rooms are large and spotlessly clean. It's got a bar and restaurant and is modern. Breakfast was great but we didn't have evening meals because we ate out. Nice place and has great viees of the Matterhorn.

Fabulous friendly hotel. We stayed here as part of our rail tour of Switzerland. The hotel was easy to find and within 10 minutes of the train station. The room was comfortable and quiet with everything we needed [we upgraded to a room with coffee machine which was great]. All the staff were helpful and friendly and gave us great advice meaning we had a very enjoyable day to Arossa to see the bears and the red squirrels. It was also just within the old town and close to lots of restaurants making eating out in the evening very easy, even for a coeliac like me. Would definitely recommend staying here.

So glad we stopped for a break while traveling - this place is excellent. It was a brief and straight forward stroll from Chur station, surrounded by pretty buildings and near eateries. We used a budget bedroom, with shared shower-toilet (spotlessly clean), and found our beds comfortable with great bedding. Buffet breakfast is a small Continental variety, but of very good quality. Last but not least, the tall lady with auburn/brown hair on reception: warm, witty, a wonderful face to the hotel! Would love to return and enjoy more of Chur from this comfortable base.

We had a very pleasant stay. |It’s more like a hostel than a hotel with basic facilities and basic bed/bed linen.|The continental breakfast was delicious, fresh and very welcome.

Good location,close to train station. Easy to find. Room was ok for one person. Clean and cozy. Unfortunately my room was right above the cafe, so there is no way to sleep. I was walking around the city until midnight until cafe was finally closed :)

We stayed at this hotel with my family for a weekend while waiting to board the Glacier Express, and I can truly recommend it. Vanessa at the reception was extremely kind and helpful, giving us all the necessary recommendations to see the most important places in Chur. She was also very accommodating when I asked if they could store my medicine in the fridge and keep my ice pack in the freezer something I really appreciated. Anna, who works at breakfast, is simply a sweetheart, so kind, attentive, and always with a smile. The breakfast is varied and plentiful compared to many other hotels I’ve stayed at. Honestly, anyone saying otherwise probably hasn’t stayed in enough hotels to compare. The rooms don’t have air conditioning, which could be an issue for some people in summer, but for us it wasn’t a problem at all,the fan and an open window were more than enough. I originally booked through their website but had some issues with the transaction due to using a foreign credit card. I contacted the hotel via email, and Mr. Helmut Gold replied promptly and efficiently, clearing up all my doubts. A big thank you to Anna and Vanessa, who made our stay a 20/10 experience. We stayed at Post Hotel Chur for 2 nights. We really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The rooms were spacious, well equipped and the bed very comfortable.
