Central Hotel Wolter

This Hotel in City Center serves great food. I tried the vegetable soup, which was 10/10, served with bread, then in the evening I tried vegetables, curry, and rice for dinner, which was OK ok . But I would like to give a big shout to the lovely staff which not only very friendly but helpful too. One of the staff recommended that I take a walk while I missed my bus to the hostel. I was scared to do a steep walk, but she encouraged me, which really made me go , and I feel really great. I will recommend this place to give a try they do nice chips 🍟 too

Nice hotel, me and my husband's and also my brother's rooms had beautiful views, we had a single and standard room. Although my mother's room was standard with no view. A bit of luck. ||Breakfast was lovely, the breakfast area overlooks the mountains. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was very quaint.||Good location, however the gondola for grindlewald first is a 10 minute or so walk. We were kind of on the side but still really close to all the shops and the grocery shop. ||I would recommend.

So I stayed two nights in one of the apartment rooms which are in a separate building behind the main hotel. (Listed as: Standard Apartment with Gallery, Balcony (Chalet)). ||My top floor room had a kitchen, living room, huge bathroom, a balcony and loft bedroom. I loved every minute of my stay. The hotel provides cooking equipment upon request - although just remember that there are no cooking supplies (like spices or condiments) so if you're going to cook, you'll need to buy everything at the Co-op which is a 2-3 minute walk away.||The staff was super! The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgable and got me checked in very quickly. There was a minor issue with the TV, and they had someone up to fix it very quickly. ||I really enjoyed sleeping in the loft - however - a word of caution; the ceiling is very low, and the steps are very steep. I'm in my late 50s and about 5'8' tall. I bonked my head a couple of times on the low ceiling rafters in the loft and the stairs were a bit steep for my creaky legs. Again - I absolutely loved it - but if that kind of stuff bothers you, or mobility is an issue, then perhaps a regular room at this hotel would be a better choice. I'd guess that families might sleep the adults on the pullout couch and send the kids to the loft - but for me, the adventure of sleeping up there was worth the soft bonk on the noggin.

It's really awesome experience for us on our honeymoon trip. View is superb, cold air, room is spacious and clean. its very near to the bus or train station.Breakfast is just the same selections on daily basis and not much of varieties, but there are alot of eateries around and Coop is just less than 5mins away. definitely will want to come back again for the Eiger views Gracias!

I stayed here for a total of 2 night, 3 days. Best Hotel + Service I’ve ever had, especially for a solo traveller. The service is extremely friendly, understanding and helpful. The room was so cozy and clean with a great view and such an ideal location in Grindelwald. The service at the restaurant downstairs was also impeccable.The morning breakfast was included, of good quality. Overall, I’d recommend this place for all and would stay again!

Surprised the hotel breakfast is so good. The bread selection from local bakery is soft and delicious. The fruit basket has a wide selection of fruits, decorated like a bouquet of flowers. Staffs are so friendly and attentive . I actually told hotel staffs their hot drink selection of tea, coffee, chocolate suit us.

Mattress was ridiculously soft. When lying down you could feel yourself sinking into the center of the bed. Breakfast was boring compared to that of other places with similar pricing and location. You don’t get to have much fresh fruit and choices from what they offer. Would probably look for other choices if we’re going to visit Grindelwald in the future.

The staff are all very friendly and helpful.They are very patient to answer all our questions and assist us to book the ticket to the Jungfraujoch.Breakfast was nice. We have our dinner at their restaurant as well. The food was great, we were very much enjoy it. I love the onion soup. Of course, the waitress also very nice. Our room have the balcony, we have a nice Eiger view with just in front of us. Super!
