Central Market

Amazing and rich in history, this public space has markets, events, and beautiful places for photography. I enjoyed wandering into the space and watching a video projected on the wall about the history of the building and the architectural design and thought that went into it. I purchased delicious dried fruit from one of the shops, and there are other stalls that sell jewelry, souvenirs, desserts, food, and much more.

This was not one of our planned destination for today, but just happen to walk by on our way to Sincere department store. This market with it's stores has transformed so much better than when we visited a year ago. With lots of speciality stores and Hong Kong flavored souvenir booths with eateries covered all corners of the world. It's hip and vibrant. Not for just tourist but caters for the local as well. Do come in for a looksee, you won't regret it.

Visited Central Market today (July 23, 2025), and what a delightful experience! This revitalized market is a perfect fusion of Hong Kong’s heritage and modern flair. The open, airy layout made exploring the stalls a breeze, and I was blown away by the variety-from artisanal coffee to mouthwatering dim sum at a cozy vendor. The vibe is buzzing yet welcoming, with plenty of spots to sit and people-watch. Loved the quirky local crafts for sale, perfect for unique souvenirs. It’s a fantastic spot to dive into Hong Kong’s food and culture scene. Highly recommend for locals and tourists alike!

Well every Singaporean should come to this Central Market, they have coffee, asian cuisine and upstairs lots of toys and figurine to buy. Their toys and figurine are cheap and genuine in quality! If you're tired, can rest and buy coffee at this Bloom Coffee shop. Their Lemonade Cold Brew is the best signature which I ever tasted!

This is a must-visit check-in spot when you're in Hong Kong island, located very close to the popular photo-op streets in the Central area. It's an old-style shopping building with a variety of stalls selling diverse products. There are many beautiful photo opportunities here, so don't miss the staircases and the iconic clock

A Beautiful Revival of Old Central Market I loved the concept of turning the old Central Market into a vibrant, artsy space celebrating local creativity. It’s wonderful to see so many local artists and makers showcasing their souvenirs, arts, and crafts—each piece reflecting a unique Hong Kong influence and spirit. I especially appreciated the dedicated space that shares the rich history of the market. It was thoughtfully presented and made the visit feel even more meaningful and enriching. Beyond the art and crafts, there are plenty of nice spots for food, groceries, restaurants, and coffee too—making it a lively and welcoming place to explore, relax, and support local businesses. A beautifully reimagined space that blends heritage, creativity, and community all in one!

Nicely built structure with air-conditioning. On weekdays diners are mostly from the nearby Hang Seng Bank. The Central Market at the 3rd floor connects to the Mid-Level Escalators. Central Market have both entrances and exitss at Des Voux Road and Queen Road.
