Central Market

It is biggest old market in old center of Ljubljana. It is also historical landmark, work of famous architect Jože Plečnik in years between 1931 and 1939. This place has long and rich history. Anyway, people meet here every day for buying vegetables, fruits, meat, fish and other food, for lunch and other public events. You can buy fresh vegetables and fruit from local farmers in Slovenia. What is special about this place is that it didn't change so much in all this time and it stays legendary as it always was. It is Slovenian culture monunent and still serves for everyday market. During the summer there is also opportunity for free dance events with course. If you are here today, you have luck because you see old legendary market. The mayor wants to renovate it and consequently some legendary things will be lost...

This is a place where time stands still. Local farmer’s market blended with a flee market and a regular shopping mall. Ljubljana does not disappoint with their market square. From new shoes to cabbage, you will probably find it here. I stopped by on a lazy winter Friday after exploring the nearby Ljubljana Castle.

The main market square with a great food market, which is 4 stars, unfortunately many of the Chinese useless shops are also there to lure the tourists. The market place itself thou has a nice atmosphere.

I visited around 3 PM and most of the stalls were already closed. Would love to see it earlier when it’s more lively

If you are in Teneriffe you have to visit this place. The variety of fruit, vegetables, fish. You can choose fish or sea food and they cook it right in front of you. The fruit and vegetables are amazing, some of them I have seen for the first time. It is great to experience local vibe. There is a parking garage right bellow the market. Price is ok. Would highly recommend. But do have in mind it closes at 1400.
