Central Market of Tarragona

Love the fact that theres a giant affordable supermarket for locals underneath the food market, which is great because it gives people more options.

Dining at Mercado Central de Tarragona was a delight. The paella was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the bacalao was tender and well-seasoned, and the snails were a unique treat in a rich, savory sauce. An unforgettable culinary experience in a vibrant setting.

Great market to sample local produce. Abundance of fresh seafood, meat, cheese etc. I wish I lived here. There is a cafe in the middle where you can buy prepared food and sit at the table nearby to eat. We did, and it was good! Interesting place to sit down and watch how locals go about their lives.

Great market to buy fresh fish, meat, cheese, and other delicacies. There are some places where you can get small fried foods like empanadas. You can also get prepared foods and drinks at a few of the bars offering service. Sadly, we came during a time where they didn't have paella like we had hoped, but there was more than enough other options. There was also a market outside selling textiles, clothes, etc.

Great little market, also has a supermarket on the lower level

A well-stocked market with a large selection of products. The selection of fresh fish and seafood, as well as traditional Spanish meats, is very impressive. Below the city market, there is a large, air-conditioned, space full and well-stocked Mercadona.

Ample choices of cheese, meat, seafood, etc.. Lots of prepared food as well. Very friendly staff at the stalls. Especially appreciated the kindness of the man who waited on us at stall (parada) 18 where we bought a variety of nuts. He was very patient with my limited Spanish.

Excellent and lively market. Supermarket is in basement but selling point are lively outside areas selling loads of different things and ofc the newly refurbished market hall with all the fabulous food stores. Underground parking available.
