This is a rather unique hotel - no large exterior signs, no lobby, no fancy elevators - but it has the best location for tourists visiting Madrid. We have a huge room on the 4th floor, facing the Palacio Real and Plaza de Oriente. Fantastic views! You can purchase a ticket (10 Euros) for breakfast at Cafe de Oriente, which is just below our rooms. Great deal! The cafe itself is a beautiful establishment. The interior is intricately decorated, and it's also very nice to sit outside at the plaza, looking out to the palace and all the actions going on in the plaza.|I must complement the staff - especially Alina and Jose, who were so very helpful and attentive. Great customer service!|If you are looking for modern and chic amenities, this hotel may not be for you. But if you enjoy decors with a touch of the past, and vintage atmosphere, I highly recommend this place.

Staff were welcoming, very friendly, helpful and accommodating - although one didn't speak English very well. They were kind and let me keep my room until noon and looked after my bag after that. The room was spotless and comfortable. The location is excellent. Warmly recommended,

When we were booking, we were worried only had "1 star"|Because the reviews were great, clean, friendly staff, etc, We reluctantly booked because the Hostal were so close to the Royal Palace.|We loved staying here. They gave us a Roof top balcony looking at the Royal Palace. Was lovely. |All the staff are so friendly and helpful, couldn't do enough for us. |Anything we asked, they would go out of the way to do so. Nothing seemed hard for the staff to help us.|We really loved staying here because of the staff.|The location was great. Restaurants, cafes, shops, everything we needed. Would come back to stay and tell all our friends and families.|

Lovely one-night stay opposite the palace. The room and bed were lovely, and the location was great. A couple of things could easily be improved: - the curtains and the net curtains need to be on separate poles. - shower drainage needs sorting as it doesn't flow to the drain.

Great hotel with an awesome view of the Royal Palace. The central Hotel is an older, sophisticated hotel and well-maintained. The rooms are fairly spacious and boast of a fridge and an air-conditioner, not to be taken for granted in Europe. The hotel staff goes out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant. The only complaint about this hotel I have is the amount of noise outside early in the AM. If you are an early riser that will probably not affect you, but at 6:30 to 7 the noise starts. Loud scraping of restaurant chairs on pavement and big 'dumpsters' being moved, and very loud music from the palace. The hotel is not to blame other than their walls may be a little too thin. Overall, still love this little hotel.

Didnt have wifi- at all the entire length of my stay. That wifi username and password is just a front. Had to pay for Airalo data so i can have internet on my phone inside my room. Very old bldg and weird looking room if you end up at the one of the old ones. - almost looks haunted in my room to be honest. You have to be able to climb a steep flight of stairs to go to the toilet bowl/ shower at least in my room. Seems clean though. Good thing the aircon was strong. Has a fridge. The water pressure strong and toilet flush as well. A few steps up before the actual elevator that fits 1-2 people. Front desk willing to help with your bags if need be. Best part is the location. If you want a modern hotel, go somewhere else.

Hostel by name, but not hostel by Irish standards anyway!|Our room was lovely and the location was fantastic, right beside the royal palace. |All the staff were so nice and made us feel so welcome.|I highly recommend anyone coming to Madrid to consider this property.

Yelp
Amazing hotel! You would not be disappointed! Highlight: --Great location- close to royal palace, Julia travel, restaurants and many more --Deluxe room- BIG rooms! --Fast internet --Nice and knowledgable staff The location hotel is 1 minute walk from the Royal palace and 10-15 walk to the central of madrid. Close to many restaurant and places to see! It's also 5-8 minute walk to Julia travel tour which is very convenient! The hotel staff is very nice especially the receptionist. Not sure if I spell it correctly, but her name is Elina and she's a really great person! She provided us with the map of the city and recommended any good places to visit. When we first arrived we were hoping to get a view to the palace, but unfortunately it was unavailable, but Elina promised that the room will be amazing and it is! We got the deluxe room and it...was...BIG! it's like you have the whole first floor of your house! The last but not least let's not forget surprisingly fast internet .

Yelp
Loved this hotel. Had a deluxe interior suite and it was gorgeous, chandelier in entry way and in bedroom. It was an apartment, with open floor plan from kitchen to dining area, large bedroom and large restroom. This was my last spot in Spain, I literally spent three weeks with a tour group moving from budget hotel to budget hotel and as a treat I splurged on personal accommodations for my final two nights. I do not regret it. The mattress was memory foam and I slept so soundly. Having a table and a quiet place to write postcards was also a plus. I was on the top floor so no clue as to how it sounded below me, but I felt like some floor boards were squeaky so I hope I wasn't too loud even when I've tip-toed across the room. It's location was very central and I found it easy to locate the nearby metro station or walk to San Miguel Market for food.

Yelp
Was able to check-in earlier because the room was ready and I was so glad after a grueling evening and long morning transit. Marina personally walked us through all of the amenities within the room. The double room is spacious by European standards and comes with a small kitchenette including a microwave, fridge, electric water kettle and a sink. Everything is clean and fresh. 5 min walk to the Royal Palace and close the Opera metro station. What a great find! I Would definitely return if I am ever staying in Madrid again.

Yelp
One of the most flawless experiences I have ever had. Definitely consider staying here if you plan on visiting Madrid. The location is great, right at the heart of the city near the Opera. Walking distance to everything and the subway station is nearby if necessary. The rooms are clean, quiet, modern but also has a classic feel to them. Wifi is lightning fast and AC makes you forget about the summer heat outside. The room came with complimentary water and when we came back from a long day of touring, there was a bottle of Tempranillo waiting for us in our room. Lastly, I want to emphasize how amazing the customer service is here. Each employee went out of their way to help us whether it was printing boarding passes or getting a taxi ready for us in the morning. Special shoutout to Ronaldo. I hope to see you again sir. They say that a hotel should provide guests a home away from home, Central Palace seem to embody this fact better than any Four Seasons or Ritz Carltons that I have stayed at. At a 4th of the price of luxury hotels, I will surely stay here again on my next trip to Madrid.
