Lovely one-night stay opposite the palace. The room and bed were lovely, and the location was great. A couple of things could easily be improved: - the curtains and the net curtains need to be on separate poles. - shower drainage needs sorting as it doesn't flow to the drain.

Great hotel with an awesome view of the Royal Palace. The central Hotel is an older, sophisticated hotel and well-maintained. The rooms are fairly spacious and boast of a fridge and an air-conditioner, not to be taken for granted in Europe. The hotel staff goes out of their way to ensure your stay is pleasant. The only complaint about this hotel I have is the amount of noise outside early in the AM. If you are an early riser that will probably not affect you, but at 6:30 to 7 the noise starts. Loud scraping of restaurant chairs on pavement and big 'dumpsters' being moved, and very loud music from the palace. The hotel is not to blame other than their walls may be a little too thin. Overall, still love this little hotel.

Hostel by name, but not hostel by Irish standards anyway!|Our room was lovely and the location was fantastic, right beside the royal palace. |All the staff were so nice and made us feel so welcome.|I highly recommend anyone coming to Madrid to consider this property.

If I could give it a Zero i would. Altought the personel are proper, I would NEVER recomend this place, had to leave My single economy room early because Even when the smell was Bad, the shower terrifying and the room was horrible, what i couldnt stand was that i woke up with Bugs walking all over me, Bugs we're on the curtains too. I ask Expedia for a refund explaining the situation and I was glad I was able to get it. There are many places near the are and all over Madrid better than this place, i recomend You avoid it, it doesnt look at all like the pictures.

Location can't be beat. Lots of space in the apartment. Bed comfy. Hardwoods creaked tremendously - I would have hated to be below us.

This hotel doesn’t come up on TripAdvisor if you search for hotels. Maybe because it’s not in “hotel” category. I found this place on Google and I’m reviewing it here because it deserves some kind of recognition. There’s a few steps up to the main door, and one floor up to the reception. It’s in a heritage building so it has its charm. There’s a small lift to the rooms if needed. ||We arrived at 10am and the receptionist (Alina?) kindly offered us a room that was ready so we could freshen up after a 15 hour flight. I booked the premium double room which was 40 sqm and she gave us a smaller room (room 301) but with views of the palace. Even at 20 sqm the room felt much bigger! You can see the palace and the gardens and even buskers below. ||The hotel is in a very central location, with the metro station just a couple minutes away. There are loads of shops, restaurants nearby. There’s no direct car access but it’s just a minute walk away. It was a very good base in Madrid, and I highly recommend this hotel due to value for money, amazing location and very friendly staff.

We had one of the interior rooms on floor 1 (106).|It was situated behind reception which meant you could hear the reception staff speaking to every guest as they passed by and could hear the phone ringing at all hours.|There was a terrible noise constantly that went on until around 2am which sounded like a concrete mixer or an air con unit (although our air con was not on).|The bed sagged in the middle and the fitted sheet would not stay on, which together with the noise, meant very little sleep for the 3 nights we stayed.|The shower leaked every morning onto the bathroom floor.|The only positives were the location and the staff were very welcoming. |I would not recommend this hotel at all, don’t understand how it’s number 1 on Tripadviser.

Yelp
Amazing hotel! You would not be disappointed! Highlight: --Great location- close to royal palace, Julia travel, restaurants and many more --Deluxe room- BIG rooms! --Fast internet --Nice and knowledgable staff The location hotel is 1 minute walk from the Royal palace and 10-15 walk to the central of madrid. Close to many restaurant and places to see! It's also 5-8 minute walk to Julia travel tour which is very convenient! The hotel staff is very nice especially the receptionist. Not sure if I spell it correctly, but her name is Elina and she's a really great person! She provided us with the map of the city and recommended any good places to visit. When we first arrived we were hoping to get a view to the palace, but unfortunately it was unavailable, but Elina promised that the room will be amazing and it is! We got the deluxe room and it...was...BIG! it's like you have the whole first floor of your house! The last but not least let's not forget surprisingly fast internet .

Yelp
Loved this hotel. Had a deluxe interior suite and it was gorgeous, chandelier in entry way and in bedroom. It was an apartment, with open floor plan from kitchen to dining area, large bedroom and large restroom. This was my last spot in Spain, I literally spent three weeks with a tour group moving from budget hotel to budget hotel and as a treat I splurged on personal accommodations for my final two nights. I do not regret it. The mattress was memory foam and I slept so soundly. Having a table and a quiet place to write postcards was also a plus. I was on the top floor so no clue as to how it sounded below me, but I felt like some floor boards were squeaky so I hope I wasn't too loud even when I've tip-toed across the room. It's location was very central and I found it easy to locate the nearby metro station or walk to San Miguel Market for food.

Yelp
Was able to check-in earlier because the room was ready and I was so glad after a grueling evening and long morning transit. Marina personally walked us through all of the amenities within the room. The double room is spacious by European standards and comes with a small kitchenette including a microwave, fridge, electric water kettle and a sink. Everything is clean and fresh. 5 min walk to the Royal Palace and close the Opera metro station. What a great find! I Would definitely return if I am ever staying in Madrid again.

Yelp
One of the most flawless experiences I have ever had. Definitely consider staying here if you plan on visiting Madrid. The location is great, right at the heart of the city near the Opera. Walking distance to everything and the subway station is nearby if necessary. The rooms are clean, quiet, modern but also has a classic feel to them. Wifi is lightning fast and AC makes you forget about the summer heat outside. The room came with complimentary water and when we came back from a long day of touring, there was a bottle of Tempranillo waiting for us in our room. Lastly, I want to emphasize how amazing the customer service is here. Each employee went out of their way to help us whether it was printing boarding passes or getting a taxi ready for us in the morning. Special shoutout to Ronaldo. I hope to see you again sir. They say that a hotel should provide guests a home away from home, Central Palace seem to embody this fact better than any Four Seasons or Ritz Carltons that I have stayed at. At a 4th of the price of luxury hotels, I will surely stay here again on my next trip to Madrid.
