So glad I found this hotel while doing a search on Google maps! There’s a few steps up to the main door, and one floor up to the reception. It’s in a heritage building so it has its charm. There’s a small lift to the rooms if needed. We arrived at 10am and the receptionist (Alina?) kindly offered us a room that was ready so we could freshen up after a 15 hour flight. I booked the premium double room which was 40 sqm and she gave us a smaller room (room 301) but with views of the palace. Even at 20 sqm the room felt much bigger! You can see the palace and the gardens and even buskers below. The hotel is in a very central location, with the metro station just a couple minutes away. There are loads of shops, restaurants nearby. There’s no direct car access but it’s just a minute walk away. It was a very good base in Madrid, and I highly recommend this hotel due to value for money, amazing location and very friendly staff.

Had a really lovely 3 night stay here with my wife in February 2025 and we have 4 recommendations : 1) be sure to book a room with balcony overlooking the square - you’ll be treated to one of the best views in Madrid - the Royal Palace no less! 2) take advantage of the breakfast deal in lovely next door restaurant by buying vouchers from reception priced at 10 euros - saves you 6 euros each and you won’t be disappointed! 3) if like us you love a hop on bus tour of the city it’s best to start from their base next to the Prado museum and you can walk it in 30mins or jump on the number 001 bus to get there for free! 4) the royal palace and next door gallery are well worth visiting- buy your tickets direct from their website as tour companies charge a premium. Finally big thanks to receptionists Elli & Marcus who were perfect hosts.

We loved our stay here and felt like we were staying in the Palace! The location to say the least was incredible. Great updated and clean rooms and even had Prosecco for us to enjoy. Very kind staff. We will be recommending this to friends and family visiting Madrid.

Stayed here for 3 nights in September. Had a top floor room overlooking the palace. Room was huge. Bathroom nice. Service at front desk was excellent. Definitely worth buying the €10 breakfast - it was fantastic. Absolutely loved it and would definitely recommend

My gf and I had a good time staying here. We had a small room, but it was still nice! The location is solid, with the royal palace right out the front door! We only stayed for a short time, however our stay was pleasant.

A great introduction to Madrid. We really arrived early for our reservation - 6 AM local time! From Ronald the desk person to the early arriving service staff they did everything they could to make us comfortable until the got our room ready. The hotel is within a short walk to major attractions and the taxi stand and metro are literally around the corner. We had a beautiful view of the Palace from our window and the room was just perfect and spotless. Ailena, and Eddie share the front desk during the day and could not possibly be more helpful. From making phone calls for our reservations at other locations to actually leading the "Talixo" car service driver to the hotel over the phone and going out into the street to find him so that we would have no trouble. Use the official taxies. We can't say enough about the Central Palace Hotel and Ailena, Eddie, Ronald, and their staff - truly exceptional. Picture is the view from our window.

The rooms are beautiful and the location is fantastic. One of the front desk employees, a blonde lady with shorter hair, was very kind and helpful. She made the visit even better.

Yelp
Amazing hotel! You would not be disappointed! Highlight: --Great location- close to royal palace, Julia travel, restaurants and many more --Deluxe room- BIG rooms! --Fast internet --Nice and knowledgable staff The location hotel is 1 minute walk from the Royal palace and 10-15 walk to the central of madrid. Close to many restaurant and places to see! It's also 5-8 minute walk to Julia travel tour which is very convenient! The hotel staff is very nice especially the receptionist. Not sure if I spell it correctly, but her name is Elina and she's a really great person! She provided us with the map of the city and recommended any good places to visit. When we first arrived we were hoping to get a view to the palace, but unfortunately it was unavailable, but Elina promised that the room will be amazing and it is! We got the deluxe room and it...was...BIG! it's like you have the whole first floor of your house! The last but not least let's not forget surprisingly fast internet .

Yelp
Loved this hotel. Had a deluxe interior suite and it was gorgeous, chandelier in entry way and in bedroom. It was an apartment, with open floor plan from kitchen to dining area, large bedroom and large restroom. This was my last spot in Spain, I literally spent three weeks with a tour group moving from budget hotel to budget hotel and as a treat I splurged on personal accommodations for my final two nights. I do not regret it. The mattress was memory foam and I slept so soundly. Having a table and a quiet place to write postcards was also a plus. I was on the top floor so no clue as to how it sounded below me, but I felt like some floor boards were squeaky so I hope I wasn't too loud even when I've tip-toed across the room. It's location was very central and I found it easy to locate the nearby metro station or walk to San Miguel Market for food.

Yelp
Was able to check-in earlier because the room was ready and I was so glad after a grueling evening and long morning transit. Marina personally walked us through all of the amenities within the room. The double room is spacious by European standards and comes with a small kitchenette including a microwave, fridge, electric water kettle and a sink. Everything is clean and fresh. 5 min walk to the Royal Palace and close the Opera metro station. What a great find! I Would definitely return if I am ever staying in Madrid again.

Yelp
One of the most flawless experiences I have ever had. Definitely consider staying here if you plan on visiting Madrid. The location is great, right at the heart of the city near the Opera. Walking distance to everything and the subway station is nearby if necessary. The rooms are clean, quiet, modern but also has a classic feel to them. Wifi is lightning fast and AC makes you forget about the summer heat outside. The room came with complimentary water and when we came back from a long day of touring, there was a bottle of Tempranillo waiting for us in our room. Lastly, I want to emphasize how amazing the customer service is here. Each employee went out of their way to help us whether it was printing boarding passes or getting a taxi ready for us in the morning. Special shoutout to Ronaldo. I hope to see you again sir. They say that a hotel should provide guests a home away from home, Central Palace seem to embody this fact better than any Four Seasons or Ritz Carltons that I have stayed at. At a 4th of the price of luxury hotels, I will surely stay here again on my next trip to Madrid.
