"Central Park, Del Rey. Amid the office and residential developments of Playa Vista lies Central Park, an oasis to the adjacent office development that defines the immediate area, but doesn't define the lifestyle of the locals. Featuring soccer fields, volleyball courts, walking paths, playgrounds, and plenty of open space, Central Park provides the necessary green space to run free."

Yelp
Nice peaceful place for a stroll or to exercise . Water features, folage, landscape and wildlife make the park interesting. Would definitely go again.

Yelp
Surrounded by Nature Ponds, Ducks Turtles Plenty of Shady seating areas. Lovely park to lay out your blanket, have a picnic and read your Favorite book or just Duck watch

Yelp
Security is aggressive and rude. Taking a photo with my family a security guard said "no professional cameras". Ok, so I put away the "fancy" looking camera in the car and walked with my point and shoot. Security followed us to our car and around the grounds. As soon as I took a picture of my kids they called for back up and kicked us out. They said "no digital pictures". They would not answer if phones were ok. Horrible people that claim to be doing their job. But are just clearly mean.

Yelp
This place is great for kiddos of all ages! We love coming here on the weekends. They have a little pond with running water that is full with and

Yelp
Whenever I go to Blue Bottle Coffee Shop in Playa Vista, I usually make a point to "wake up and smell the roses" at this park. It is perfect getaway from work life. Location/Parking: Located next to the Playa Vista Campus (tech hub). I usually park on Bluff Creek Drive and just walk to the park. Entertainment: Basically a one stop park for most needs. Note: Their are limitations like bringing dogs, riding bicycles and skateboards to name a few. 1) Two soccer fields (reservation needed) 2) Basketball Courts. 3) Children Playground 4) Little ponds to see some koi fish, ducks, geese, lily pads, and red eared sliders. 5) Sand Volleyball 6) A small trail to see some drought tolerant plants. 7) Picnic tables and chairs for your social and non social gathering needs. 8) Modern Amphitheater 9) Pet Adoption Place: Feel free to walk on the grounds of the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace and perhaps adopt a cat or dog. Park For Thought: Well definitely come back for a stroll.

Yelp
First the positives...it's a nice park with a variety of fields and sports you can play there. My kids also like seeing the ducks there. Now the biggest negative is the large, aggressive security guard who was there Monday afternoon. As other reviews have noted, the security guard yelled at my son 6 year old and I that we cannot use our agility ladder that weighs less than pound and couldn't possibly cause any damage to the grounds. He was yelling that we can't bring any equipment to the park. I replied ok, sorry, I didn't see any postings about that rule. He then calls someone on his walkie talkie and says that I'm "griping" about that rule not being posted. Just an unnecessary negative interaction, especially with my young son there.

Yelp
This park use to be open and comfortable, but it has a congested feeling now. Meh - feels like part of all these corporate buildings. Go somewhere else that's more serene and you can actually stroll the entire area.

Yelp
Very pretty park to walk through on your own or with friends or family. There are play areas for kids, street parking isn't too hard, and it's close to a few restaurants and coffee shops as well. It was nice walking around the pond area and the botanical area. There were also some basketball courts and other sports areas (some were closed I'm assuming due to Covid but there were people playing basketball which was nice to see). Felt a little bit normal (even though most everyone had masks on)!

Yelp
Yeap, yeap, yeap, no dogs allowed, signs posted everywhere. In fact, there are plenty of signs about things you CANNOT do in this park like photography, skateboarding, etc. I understand that there are "wild" water birds there but my dogs, and mostly dogs that people tend to take every place can be told to stay away from these, or be well-behaved. When we were there, I saw a few kids with their parents but no supervision, chasing and scaring the ducks and being noisy. Perhaps they need to rethink what animals should be banned. Seriously.

Yelp
Before you go know that this is one of those public parks on private land- i just learned this. They don't really want the public there and it really shows. I had the property manager threaten to tow my car if I parked in a 20 minute spot. Mind you, I was only there to drop off lunch for my kids. Such an unfortunate exchange. SMH.

Yelp
This park feels like that living room you had growing up with all white furniture that no one was actually allowed to use, it just looks nice and you stare from a far. It really is pristine and because I went before 10am on a rather chilly Friday I practically had the place to myself. It looks so perfect you feel like you're not actually supposed to touch or walk on anything but the walkway. Not really sure what this place should be called but I think the name "park" is misleading since you can't really play here and there are no dogs allowed. Maybe Gardens at Playa Vista.....Oasis at Playa Vista even sounds more appropriate. Cool to see once if you're around, but if you're looking for an actual park there are many better option nearby.

Yelp
A lovely little park for getting some fresh air in the times of COVID! A couple friends and I did a socially distant, masked hang out here over the weekend and everyone (adults and kiddos alike) enjoyed themselves. This is definitely one of the cleanest parks I've ever been to in LA! It's worth noting that this park is *not* dog friendly, as most of my LA pals have pups. The area near the amphitheater was pretty busy on a Saturday, but we moved over to the soccer fields and had plenty of space to spread out. The fields are closed to games right now and were coned off, but our four year old friend was able to run around on the turf. She also loved the little ponds onsite and got a kick out of watching the turtles and fish. Parking nearby was really easy on the street, and from what I remember, there are some really lovely restaurants in this part of PV (although not sure how many are open right now as I'm sure many of them rely on the traffic from the office buildings nearby). While I'm not a Westsider myself, I'd certainly come back to this park for a picnic, coffee, or distant hang out with friends.

Yelp
I don't know how it took me so long to discover this park living right around the corner- it is beautiful! Several different lakes/ponds/streams, beautiful landscaping and jacaranda trees in full bloom! Took my 15 month old and we spent the morning watching the ducks and turtles swim in the water - the baby ducklings were especially adorable - we then walked over to the playground for a little exercise and we finished the day watching my husband play some basketball on their courts.

Yelp
Sweet Little Ducklings Intentionally Killed by Playa Vista Central Park Management! If you visited the Playa Vista Central Park recently, you might have noticed a beautiful group of 10 ducklings, born early April. They have been enjoyed and fed by many park-goers, adults and kids alike, me being surely one of their most enthusiastic fans. Unfortunately, I have bad news that I feel the need to share with you. 9 of the 10 ducklings have been intentionally killed by the park management. What they did is wrong and cruel and needs to be denounced! It should not happen again! Here is the story: On my most recent visit to the park last Thursday, I was walking around searching for the group of ducklings when I spotted the couple of ducks followed by just one of them. I walked around the park to see whether the rest of the ducklings had been left somewhere else, but I couldn't find any. As I was watching the only duckling present, a young lady came by the pond and we started a conversation. It turned out Maddy lives nearby, comes to the park frequently and was also wondering where the rest of the ducklings were. We decided to ask a security person who was walking towards us. He appeared a bit hesitant and asked me if I wanted "the real story", implying that what I was about to hear was going to be disturbing. When I replied that I wanted the real story, he told us that "his boss", whom I assume is the park manager, brought a pest control guy who owns a falcon to take care of the ducklings. He unleashed the falcon, which attacked all of them, with only one of them managing to survive. The security person was kind enough to spare us more specific details. When we asked why they did it, the security person listed the following excuses on behalf of his boss: -There are too many ducks in this park, they need to control the population - The park cannot feed all of those ducks, even if people regularly come to the park and feed them - In nature, they wouldn't all survive anyway - In nature, the ducklings would be attacked by predators We pointed out that there is the Ballona Creek just next door, which hosts many kinds of birds, including ducks. In fact, many ducks constantly fly between the park and the creek and they are used to having to fend for themselves and find their own food. If they thought there are too many ducks in their park, they could have had them released into the creek. Or they could have just let them live and grow in peace and let people enjoy their uplifting presence. This story shocked me, I was crying and I am glad Maddy was there to talk with me for a while. I was in such a state, I could barely drive back home.

Yelp
We have been coming to this park since it opened. The park itself is simply AMAZING! Sadly, Playa Vista and more so, the security that GUARDS the park make it un enjoyable. Today's visit was the final straw. Because I had a dslr camera, security came up and said no photo shoots! I explained that I was just with my kids and he said, as long as there is no tripod and no changing of clothes (hilarious) we were good. Soon after he came back and said that the park is private and that I couldn't use it. I asked if it was ok to use my 12 megapixel iphone and he said yes as long as I wasn't doing a photo shoot! I was as confused. Totally contradictory. The funny thing is that when I came here to write this, I clicked on the park photos and there was the security guard from today. I guess we were not the only ones he tossed. Also, there sure are a lot of nice private photos posted here on yelp! In February we had a small 5 person bday with my 2 kids, wife and aunt....shut down. No gatherings or birthdays! ...Oh and we had 2 balloons!!! Typically they just hang out near the stage in their cars talking. This was my favorite park but I just feel now that most likely we will have some kind of issue if we go. Not worth the hassle.

Yelp
Don't try to play causal soccer here on or around the fields !!!!! The park's security is blatantly rude and border line harass people !! No matter if you are playing with your two year old child or with friends !! You'll be getting yelled at by a disrespectful guard with no morale or professionalism. Even if you aren't breaking any rules they"ll make it clear that they don't want you to play there unless you reserved the field. They make up ridiculous rules to discourage people from playing. Even when it's completely empty!! Don't buy into their "public park" image, it's run by greedy management, looking for profit. Avoids telling the rules and policy for using the fields when asked.
google avatar

Quinn V.

Yelp
Nice park but very strict rules of where dogs can and cannot be. I would be walking and all of a sudden I see a sign of no dogs. They are in random places so it was confusing. If you don't have a dog, then it's a cool park.
google avatar

Sebastian R.

Yelp
Beautiful clean vibrant park. Multiple no dog signs. They have on staff attendants to enforce the rules so the park is in great shape. Tons of different plants and ponds. Multiple ducks and some turtles throughout the park.

Yelp
I've been around Playa Vista since 2009 and I absolutely love it. Unfortunately at Central Park the security has gotten out off hands. Maria Rojas approached us (my 11 years old and I) while playing at the soccer field because my 6 years old was riding his bike (w/training wheels) inside of the park. I told her that we were almost done and leaving in a few minutes. She proceeded to get closer to us screaming that this is a private park and we must follow the rules. We kept playing soccer while my little boy got scared and stepped out of his bike (on the permitted area) Maria then started to harass my 6 years old telling him that his dad is bad, for which I asked her to stop talking to my kid, she didn't stop. At this point my 11 years old is also very upset so we decided to leave. While walking out, Maria followed us cursing and screaming, in front of other people, that this is a private park and we must follow the rules. Very unprofessional, rude and aggressive, cero customer service. If you are having issues with security please report them with HR at: 1 (800) 777-6205 they should be there to protect and serve not to harass.

Yelp
Gorgeous but doesn't allow dogs?! Even though the trails that run along the perimeter and all these new tech offices and apartments/condos adjacent do? It literally makes no sense. I hope someone has started a petition to change that.
google avatar

Yelp
Was here 3/31/12 for the Food Truck fest thing. The park itself was really nice, although the weather didnt co-operate at all. Theres a bunch of trails for the joggers, beach volley ball courts (with sand), Soccer field too. Parking is a lil bad, as there was no parking closer to where the food trucks were parked at. The event was good, DJ was playing top 40 stuff, face painting booths for the kids, people who make balloon animals. There was also a few jumpers for the kids. They even provided tables and chairs for the attendees to eat at. Successful event at a very nice park.

Yelp
Just recently came back from a four hours and 40 miles bike ride! Wow! I was riding from East of Western and Jefferson towards the beach on the west just to cruise around. On La Cienega and Jefferson, I found a small trail starting from on top of the bridge which I was assuming it might be the bike trail. Before I start the story, I'm gonna say I was already riding from Kenneth Hahn Park which is about an hour of bike ride. I kept going down south from Central Park of where this bike trail might end, so I ended up at Rat Beach which was pretty close to these rich houses on the top of the hill. I took a break for awhile like kicking back and relax, drink water, take a breather and a breeze, drink water again, and took some photos. Then, I went back up north to back home which was another two hours. Honestly, I have to say it was a hell of a lot of cardio I did. Most extensive and enduring cardio especially cycling I ever did besides doing for the marathon I did awhile ago! If there are any super ironmen who want or need any challenges such as cycling, take a water of a volume of more than one bottle! This challenge is gonna need more than one bottle of water.

Yelp
I lived in West LA for six years and I never even knew this park was here. What a gem! My friend suggested it as a good location for family photos and it was perfect. There were nice gardens to walk through, a small waterway and the park area was ideal for concerts, space for kids to run and play, and lots of recreation. It's a really nice park with easy access to bathrooms under the stage and ample parking.
google avatar

Marko C.

Yelp
Central Park at Playa Vista is a new-ish park that opened in the Playa Vista Area. This weekend, they hosted a free concert featuring the Hollywood Stones. FUN! The venue is a nice sized stage with this neat artistic dome over it - something like a round dome like at the Hollywood Bowl. The landscaping is really nice - two tiered levels of plush grass where you can sprawl out and picnic. The plants, trees, fish, birds in the area make this a really nice and relaxing place. Bring your own picnic and fountain beverages to this place during the concerts. Listen to good music, hang out with good friends. Next to the venue is a nice kid's park where they have rolling hills of play turf and all kinds of neat stuff for the kids to do. It's a nice park for kids 4+. I saw some of the younger toddlers totally eat it as they fell off these hills / mounds. There were a coupe of things that caught my attention while at the park: * No bike riding at the park. You can't even walk you bike around the park. * No alcohol at the park. I saw several people drinking out of red plastic cups. * No dogs at the park. Not even on leashes. They have two nice dog parks across the Playa Vista campus. * Watch your kids! There are these water ponds that are supposed to be birds refuges. There are no barriers around the water, so kids naturally like to go explore. I saw couple of kids almost fall in the water. Kinda dangerous for infants.

Diana L.

Yelp
I came here when I was dog-sitting in the area. The landscaping is great and I was so enamored with it that I brought my DSLR camera on one visit and wanted to practice some photography. The amphitheater was especially interesting. But after a few minutes of shooting, a security guard came up and told me that no photos are allowed. I shortly left because I felt so unwelcomed and it just seemed like a strange experience. I even asked the business buildings across the street if it's okay to take pictures and they gave me the ok as long as I was off the street. So a park was more strict than a business building??? I called up the management to complain and left a message for the person in charge but never got a call back. The person I spoke to said it was a misunderstanding of rules by the security but regardless, it's not a nicest feeling to know that your every move is being watched by a guard that will come up to you for something so innocent. Being in the midst of all the tech stuff, I thought I was in some dystopian nightmare. Cool park, great for the bougie community that lives nearby (AS LONG AS YOU FOLLOW ALL THE RULES AND DON'T WALK MOVE OR BREATHE), has great potential, but left a bad taste in my mouth.

Yelp
The playground: I took my younger cousins here and the playground is just awkward. It looks all classy from a distance but they couldn't figure out how to play on it. There were these metal bars that look like they could be a slide but you really can't play on them. There was a cool tunnel, the longest one I've seen but other than that it was not a great place to play. The sand was not the normal soft play sand, it felt like industrial sand. The rest of the playground was made out of rubber shreds which are not the most comfortable either. It looked really classy and fun for kids at a distance, but we hardly spent any time there because all you could basically do was run up the rubber hills and go on the teeter-totter (not comfortable either). The playground was definitely designed with aesthetics in mind, not children. The ponds: The ponds are the best part about this park. They have ducks and other bird visitors from the local Ballona Wetlands. If you throw some bread crumbs into the pond you will discover they have some big fish in there! This was probably the coolest part. The water was a bit murky so you could only see the shadows of the fish swimming around but they would practically jump out of the water for bread crumbs! Bring some fish food or something for your kids to throw into the water and watch the fish spring to life. Tables and benches: Tons of seating throughout the park but most goes unused as there is not enough shade. Therefore, most people congregate near the main pond and eat their lunch/read/surf/chill at the colorful metal tables and chairs. The amphitheater/grass: The grass in front of the stage is SOOOO itchy! They probably used industrial grade grass to withstand all the traffic it gets during concerts. Never roll down the hills unless you are wearing a plastic suit that covers you from head to toe otherwise your skin will turn so red and itchy. The plants: The hills are covered with row after row of succulents. They are beautiful, don't get me wrong, but they are planted WAY too close together. They are the size of a fist now but they will get overcrowded very quickly. They also need more trees, seriously, hardly any shade. Good thing there's a cool ocean breeze to keep from over heating. Construction: There is still plenty of construction going on around the perimeters of the park so keep in mind the park looks unfinished now and the plants/trees will make it look better once they are fully grown. Rules and restrictions: There is a whole sign for the park rules along with security to enforce them. We didn't have any problems during our visit but others definitely did according to the other reviews here. I was totally looking forward to riding my Razor scooter though :( OVERALL: Fun for a couple hours max. Kids can always find things to do but it is limited here- be warned, kids will be frustrated and keep asking you why they can't do this or that.

Yelp
Central Park at Playa Vista is part of the Campus Commercial buildings and directly across from Belkin. The 7.9 acre "Central Park" for the Playa Vista commercial campus opened on in July. The park, is located near Jefferson and Centinela, has a soccer field, a amphitheater, basketball courts, jogging trails, sand volleyball courts, an area for bocce ball, and a children's playground. There are ponds, with fish in them. Ducks and other wildlife who hang out in the area. Sometimes, you see people practicing Tai Chi near the water. It's a really nice park. I already am a fan of the Playa Vista Sports Park, but the Central Park at Playa Vista is just as good!

Yelp
This park is outstanding, beautiful, clean, high security and botanical gardens. WAG store and adoption center. Carp fish pond, duck pond and just over all beauty. Soccer field and play areas with some benches. It has signage everywhere. Beautiful

Yelp
I go here for volleyball. Nice to take an evening stroll. Some guys turn up regularly for basketball. The kids play area is more artistic than playful. The soccer fields needs reservation but no signs of how you would do that. There are ducks, turtles and toads in the pond. This park is in the middle of a corporate Zone. And employees from surrounding offices show up here to relax.

Yelp
The landscaping at this place is remarkable. There are plenty of places to stroll, sit, or just enjoy the scenery. Located in the heart of Playa Vista, this place is a gem and like any newly developed property in this area, it's beautiful. I came here for the outdoor viewing of one of my favorite movies of all time, The Notebook. Now I've seen this movie a million times that I can recite the whole thing and know each scene without even looking at the screen. Especially Noah's lines because I think I'm him in some ways lol. Yeah, it's like that! Anyway, it was something different watching this movie this time. I'm assuming it could be the outdoor theatre style with the 360 degree openness, or it may be just her. I'm leaning more towards the idea that everything is because of her, omg it sounds crazy saying that aloud. As the evening crept along and the sun began to set, everyone started to get real close to each other. It was kind of romantic seeing that many people still believe in love. Best Friday I've had in a while. I strongly suggest you guys come check this place out whenever you're in Playa Vista. Whether you're alone, or with a group of friends, having lunch, just need an outing, or need an area to clear your thoughts, this place will suffice. I will have to make a conscious effort to pull up as much as I can. I love it. 5 stars!

Yelp
The security guards are downright abusive and disrespectful. Harassed on 3 different occasions for various reasons.

Yelp
Came here for a picnic and to walk around. It's a very pretty park and I love the amphitheater that reminds me of a diamond solitaire. We walked through the gardens that had different types of plants growing. There's also a place to play bocce ball and horseshoes but you have to bring your own equipment. There is a restroom under the outdoor amphitheater. We saw a lot of ducks that were swimming in the lake and people feeding them bread. There's also a small park for kids to play and a couple of soccer fields. Plenty of street parking on the street around the park. Definitely worth checking out at least once.

Yelp
One of my favorite parks to visit with my children. I go because it's very scenic and calming. We love the garden they have and we frequent often

Yelp
This is the perfect place to walk your dog. Or bring your toddler. It's like a scene out of the Stepford Wives. I like it. A lot. Weird because I don't have a toddler and have never dreamt of becoming a Stepford wife. Cool little master planned community, there are a couple places to nosh, a coffee shop, dog park, yogurt place, sitting areas, library and lots of places to stroll around. Great sense of community, this is where I'd like to have a weekend condo. #easylivinImreadyforit

Nanita L.

Yelp
It's still under construction, but it looks very promising. There's a kid play area, an outside amphitheater of sorts, and .. strangely.. there area ducks. Hubby found this neat place and we checked it out. The play area for kids are pretty good, definitely for 3+ aged children though, as there are seemingly pretty dangerous attributes.. like a pond, with ducks, very interesting designs for the play area (with tunnels, and mounts, and curvatures). There is a walkway and it kind of needs trimming. Definitely a good place to take your kid for a walk in the early afternoon - would probably not want to come later after the sun sets.
google avatar

Phoenix F.

Yelp
Interesting park, not really a traditional design or format. No pets, so please don't bring them thinking 'its ok for my dog'..its not. Soccer area needs a way to keep the balls in and not flying into the pond. Basketball courts, volleyball courts with sand also.
google avatar

Joanna L.

Yelp
Went here for the first movies in the park this weekend. The event itself was great (how can you go wrong w/ Top Gun?) but unless you live in the neighborhood and take the shuttle, there's nowhere to park. I live in the neighborhood but didn't know how limited the parking is so drove over there. Only to find out I couldn't find a spot and there's all this land but no parking anywhere. So stupid. Ended up driving back to my place and taking an uber there and then taking the shuttle back after the event. If you go, grab the shuttle or go super early so you can get a spot. Also makes no sense why they don't allow dogs at the park.
google avatar

Mark L.

Yelp
I don't understand how anyone could give this park less than five stars. It is beautifully landscaped, super clean and as safe as it gets for the little ones. We live right next to it and couldn't ask for a better backyard!
google avatar

Erica T.

Yelp
Beautiful park. Love the sound of the waterfalls, it makes it so peaceful to go on walks. Out door soccer field and nets, volleyball and basketball available! Sand and soft tuff playground and seesaw for kids. Clean restrooms are a major plus too!!
google avatar

Pérola B.

Yelp
I give this park 4 stars only because it is very different from other parks in the sense that it seems futuristic and not very conventional. I visited this park because some friends were playing soccer and I decided to walk around and explore it. It has pond with lily pads, koi fish and a few ducks. The playground area was pretty cool but like other people have mentioned not suitable for children. As an adult, I was able to get on the bars, under the tunnel and sit on a revolving ball (?) not sure how to explain. There is this stage which reminds me of the hollywood bowl, even though it is small it just has this really cool architectural design. There is a square grassy area in which I am assuming people can sit, dance, stand to watch the stage. Overall, I really enjoyed this park. I was able to take a few pictures and hope to visit soon. The area in which it is located seems business oriented rather than a neighborhood park.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Parents, PLEASE hold on to your kids (and pets) at this park. The water features are sunken ponds surrounded by grassy embankments, and it's easy for little ones to slip on the plantings and stumble right into the water. The playground itself is sort of interestingly futuristic and has a cool tunnel to crawl through, but since kids are our main parks interest, we won't be back here much, at least not until they're old enough to attend shows at the band stand. This is a very pretty sophisticated showpiece park, not a fun and frolic park. That makes total sense given its location amidst office buildings, just be aware that that's what you're getting.
google avatar

Phil T.

Yelp
Great park. Lots of different activities to do here. All the facilities are very new and modern. Soccer field, basketball court, and beach volleyball. Lawn for sun bathing and reading. Area for concerts. And ducks!
google avatar

Mary M.

Yelp
We just love this little bit of heaven five minutes from our home. There are a myriad of things to do including soccer, basketball, a kids play area, free concerts, and several ponds to enjoy the wildlife. Lately, we've been following the progress of the Canadian geese. The female is sitting on six eggs, which should hatch very soon. I know construction is ramping up in the area, and I hope this place doesn't get too crowded with all the buildings that are slated to be built.
google avatar

Kobi K.

Yelp
Such an amazing park! Has an incredible view and plenty of sports activities to do(has a volleyball court, basketball court, and soccer field) perfect for kids an has a playground

Yelp
The growing privatization of public spaces has really accelerated in recent years. I was walking through the park taking photos with a DSLR (just the landscape, no people in sight). I was approached by a private security officer who told me photography in the park is not allowed. I guess I shouldn't be surprised a protected 1st amendment right is not allowed, this is private property. What ever happened to "Public" parks? Who were the city officials that sold who are privatizing public property to the highest campaign donor?

Yelp
What a great little find. A decent-sized, artistically designed park, hidden in Playa Vista behind some chic office buildings. There are many ponds with lovely, fat, orange fish and lily pads. And lots of ducks. There are also small fields and hills of long wavy grasses and accompanying, meandering pathways. I love the row of trees with tables underneath. It reminds me of Paris. On the south end, there are two nice soccer fields, one artistically sunken, a basketball court, and an earthy playground, where my baby likes to crawl around. Well done, Playa Vista, well done.

While this park looks beautiful, their is a little known rule that people are not allowed to play, run, exercise, or simply exist on either the path or the fields. When I went, security guards stopped me and my friends from playing games in the field or even simply walking/jogging on the paths. Its as if their job is to restrict any and all fun had in this park. Mind you that we were not disturbing any other groups of people as there were none. Perhaps they were also kicked out for looking like they had enjoyed themselves. Upon leaving the park (not by choice) I had only one thought: What is the point of having a park if people are not allowed to use it?

Yelp
What lovely surprise we found when we stumbled upon this hidden gem! Kind of hard to find if your not looking for it but unforgettable once you do. Clean, lovely and quite park In an unexpected part of Playa Vista. The main part of the park for me is the open Amphitheater that is not only stunning to look at but always has a nice mix of music playing. They also have a schedule of events that take place throughout the year that include music and during the summer they show movies where everyone is invited to bring blankets and watch from the grass. Reminded me of the old drive-in movies from years ago. The surrounding park has ponds that are full of wildlife. When we went there were a lot of baby ducks and other wild birds. The playground is unusual and doesn't have the normal playground equipment but that's why its nice. Has the feel of something from the future with it's modern design and is visually pleasing. Because of it's proximity to the businesses and new development at Playa Vista the park is vey well maintained and patrolled by friendly security guards. I only hope that all the new development going on at the moment won't ruin this lovely and serene park.
