This was a really nice trail to walk. So many views and water. A couple of different playgrounds too on the way. Also an arboretum, a nature center, softball fields, volleyball courts. And a really cool floating walkway just passed the nature center. Lots of birds and dragonflies. And a lot of benches to to just sit and relax and taking the views. If you're going to walk this trail I would recommend going all the way around the loop. So many things to see. The trail was plenty roomy to. Definitely going to go back!

While traveling through Minnesota visiting family we took a detour to Central Park in Roseville. Spreading over 225 acres and divided into 6 areas it is the largest park in Roseville and one of the larger urban parks in Ramsey County. Connected by miles of walking and biking trails one can spend hours exploring Central Park Dale East, Dale West, Lexington, North, Victoria Ballfields and Victoria West. We were just able to explore Muriel Sahlin Arboretum and the Victoria Ballfields. The Muriel Sahlin Arboretum is a beautiful landscaped haven with theme gardens, flower and plant beds, paved and stone walkways, arches, native trees and shrubs situated on maintained grounds. Porta potties and a small building with indoor bathrooms are available, but on this day the women’s restroom was locked. Trails lead through a wooded preserve into the sprawling Victoria Ballfields with six softball fields, refurbished picnic shelter and a playground covered with protective netting from foul balls. A large parking lot, picnic tables and park benches are available too.

I stopped here for an afternoon walk this past week and I absolutely loved being out in nature! Check out the muskrat lodges (possibly) on the pond. The walk around the lake was the perfect length for the spare 30 minutes I had. What a great way to uplift your spirits during cold weather. Also the portable bathrooms are still available during the winter here and that's a plus!

This is a great park! I came here on a nice warmer December day, late afternoon and ran a loop around the lake and also did the fitness circuit around the pond in the back and then finished the loop around the lake. It was perfect for a shorter, mostly flat workout. The fitness stations were decent...not the best circuit I've ever done as they weren't really spaced evenly around the pond and the resistance on the strength ones was fairly low, but it was still a nice way to get a little circuit workout in. I'll have to go back and take some photos of the stations, since I only see one posted on here. There are 4 fitness stations- 3 around the pond and one on the loop to the right towards the playground. Going off memory, here is what was at each one: 1.) Squats, arm stretch, and ab twister 2.) Chest press and stair stepper thing 3.) Incline Push-ups and Pull-ups, elliptical 4.) Arm Bike and balance steps The elliptical was actually pretty decent for an outdoor park one. Arm bike was decent too, except it being way too low- I'm 5'2" and had to squat to the right height. Someone taller could probably do it kneeling or if you wanted to use if for a longer cardio session, you could bring a chair to sit and do it. You can extend your fitness circuit onto the nearby playground (SW corner) if you want as there are a few more fitness stations there more for kids- there is an over-under mobility station on a slight hill with both high and low hurdle type things and also an agility ladder. Also lots of balance and climbing type things you could add in if playground isn't busy with kids. The playgrounds looked really fun for kids with lots of fun things to climb on, obstacle courses, percussion instruments, a rocket ship, balance things, fun swings, a zip line. All overlooking the lake. The paths here were decently nice. The smoothest path in the lake sections of the park is the one around Bennett Lake. The path was mostly smooth with a few tree root bumps and cracks here and there. It's smooth enough to be decent for a short rollerblading loop if you live nearby, but I'd be careful going too fast since there are a few bumps. It is approximately 1 mile around Bennett Lake and about a quarter mile around the fitness circuit pond loop. It's nice they have separate bike and walking paths for much of this side of the park. Park also has a decent sized sledding hill on the west side just north of the Victoria West plaground. I did not venture across Victoria Street to the east side of the park, but it looks quite large on the map with a board walk and ball fields. I will definitely be back here again to check out the rest!

Overall thoughts: OMG THIS PARK IS BEAUTIFUL. We will be back. SWINGS? 3 traditional, one accessible and one baby/toddler PLAY STRUCTURE FOR BIG/LITTLE KIDS? This is definitely made for kids 5+, lots of drop offs and climbing. SHADE? At 10:30am the majority of the park was shaded. DISTANCE FROM PARKING LOT TO THE PLAYGROUND? A little ways, probably equivalent to the length of a Target parking lot. TABLES OR GAZEBOS? One gazebo near the playground and lots of picnic tables around. One right by the park. BENCHES? Two well placed benches. BATHROOM? 4 handicap accessible bathrooms in the gazebo by the playground. WALKING PATH? Lots of path to walk! Not directly around the park, but lots of of paths and one that goes around the body of water to the other playground on the other side. OPEN AREA? Yes! A beautiful open area for kids to run! BUSY/LOUD STREET? Busy, yes. Loud, not noticeable. The parking lot and open area are between the playground and the street so it's not noticeable. ANY FUN EXTRAS? Horseshoes! Baseball fields. An amphitheater. The parking lot was packed when we arrived but no one was even at the playground.

Central Park has a nice walking trail all around, picnic benches, playgrounds for kids, etc. There is also a nice area with a field, volleyball courts, and baseball field. Also Tennis courts on one side as well. Lots of parking space and a great place to go to on a nice day!

Google
Absolutely love this huge park. Gorgeous walking paths around the lake, two awesome playgrounds - each with its own pavilion - and courts for tennis, bocce ball, and volleyball... Plus quite a few Pokestops and gyms, convenient to the playgrounds! What more can you ask for?

Yelp
Extremely peaceful and beautiful landscape to be able to walk around. Cute playgrounds with plenty of athletic fields.

Yelp
I had no idea this park existed until last night when our family was looking for fireworks to watch, since we usually go to Hudson, Wi for the third and then Eagan for the fourth, since we moved here last year, we wanted to see how Roseville's was. I was completely shocked. They had some of the coolest fireworks I had seen in a long time. They had updated fireworks that no other place had lit, and we are firework enthusiasts and go to several firework shows over the course of June and July with the occasional State Fair fireworks every night in August. The park was really nice, and it seemed very safe. Again, I only saw this park at dark, and the surrounding areas at dark, so I can't speak on the activity or cleanliness of the park. I can only speak on the firework show last night for the 4th. What I saw and experienced at Central Park besides the fireworks was really nice, I am going to go back so I can see what this park really has to offer.

Yelp
Great location just in Roseville. There is something for every age group. 2 playgrounds for the minors... smooth paved walkways for biking, running, and rollerblading. Swings for elderly and young... charcoal grills.. picnic tables.. plenty of seating around the lake. I enjoyed 2 the water feature... see video. My meet up group plays sand volleyball here often... there are 5 courts.. plenty to share. There is flushing toilets.. no sink however.. I think this is perfectly located to get away for a few hours.

Yelp
It's no Central Park in NYC, but for MN it's a great little park in the burbs. For as long as I can recall, this park has always been reserved for some kind of event, field trip, company/ family picnic or get together and most important memory; watching the fireworks on the 4th of July once upon a time. The park itself is a nice place to walk around. Nice playgrounds on both sides for the kiddies, adults and teens and tweens making out in the tube slide. Great covered areas for picnics and gatherings. Nice band shell for the summer concerts. In the spring the flowers are always nice to see bloom from Lexington. Wonderful and memorable park in Roseville.

Yelp
I want to borrow a kid, I want to borrow a dog, anything so I can keep coming back to this park! I certainly will not forget my slr camera when I come back. The lake has so many beautiful wood ducks that are just so precious. I used to live in Roseville and this was my go to park whether summer or winter. The winter walks especially after a snowy week definitely has its own charm as well. The walking trails and bike path are very well maintained. It's always so quiet here and not overly crowded. It is safe also. There is a mini waterfall that should not be missed. During the summer months, there are also music events at the amphitheater. Small but adequate for the neighborhood. There are a few tennis courts, beach volleyball area, baseball court and a pavilion for family BBQ time. If you are in the area, and need a rest and relax place to stretch your legs after a crazy shopping trip to the nearby Rosedale Mall, this park is worth checking out!! Please please please adhere to the park regulations! Bring your trash in, make sure to take them out with you. With the State cutting so much budgets in environmental regulations, we need to start small in our community and do our part as responsible citizens. Make sure you catch and release walleye and catfish that were put in Bennett Lake to drive out invasive species.

Yelp
Central Park is my favorite park in Roseville. There is a small lake with a path that goes around it, making it perfect for biking, walking or running. They also have a few softball fields, a volleyball net and a bocce ball court. Plus, they have they have plenty of playground space for the little kids. What sets this park apart from other parks is the Frank Rog Ampitheater. The ampitheater sits on the shores of the lake and has the lake fountain as its backdrop. Every summer the ampitheater hosts live music on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. They also have outdoor movies and a jazz fest for Rosefest in June. This park is awesome in the summer, but it is great in every season, even winter!

Yelp
This is a great park for young and old! Walking trails and two separate playgrounds. Added bonus is the vintage rocket slide. We've been there a few times and have seen muskrats swimming and eating.

Yelp
Worst experience this summer. My girlfriend and I took our 2 year old Grandkids to Central park about 9 am to give them some exercise and a picnic lunch . About that same time several school buses of teenage kids arrived. While most of the kids hovered around the band shelter there were several that came over to the playground. These teenagers would run and jump on the equipment. One knocked my grandson over by jumping on the little kid bridge. There appeared to be no supervision of this large group of kids. I will not return to Central park again when there is such a vast number of parks that are safer for little kids.
