I have had a storage unit (5x10) here for several years. The good things about this place is:
1. It is near Highway 4 and I-680
2. The units can be environmentally controlled. In other words, when it is 100 degrees outside in Concord, inside your unit it is AC cooled (if you select one)
3. They have a variety of units
4. Some units have a nearby outlet. So there are many businesses that use this place as their warehouse for their business.
5. When you move in, you can use their free 14 foot move-in truck for the day.
6. They usually have a move in special rate
7. Full security system
8. Not cramped between the outside units so there is room to maneuver
9. No upstairs, so don't have to go up/down an elevator like some storage locations, which can really slow your move-in/out
10. They accept UPS shipments for you, and if you give them your lock access, they will put the items into your unit for you
11. Rick. Not the manager, but helpful and efficient
12. It is clean and well maintained, with decent construction.
The bad things about this place are:
1. I don't like anyone but Rick. Deanne, who used to be the manager was great, but she moved to New York.
2. There is only someone in the office 10 - 6. Access by code is 7 - 7, however.
3. If you call outside of 10 - 6, you will get their HQ answering service. They are very polite, but they can't do much for you, just pass along a message.
4. They are not the cheapest.
You can pay less per month at the nearby other storage places. But one just has mini units, and both aren't very clean and well kept in my opinion, and they don't have the a/c option, which can be important if anything you own can't stand 120 degree heat inside the unit during the summer.
