Google
It's a bar and grill with some pretty darn good barbecue. I like the fact that it's in an old train depot, and it's pretty quiet. TVs on the wall playing sports, but it's not obnoxiously athletic themed. Excellent rating on food, staff and atmosphere from me.

Where to begin? Sometimes when you read negative reviews, it can come across as nitpicking. I have written many reviews and have given very few -ones, but I have to. I will start with the waitress. She was clearly new and inexperienced. She brought out the ice tea. I ordered quickly and made a fresh pot of coffee for my mother. I didn’t care for the iced tea so I asked her for a glass of water. 10 minutes later I still did not have the water. I looked around and the manager saw me looking and came over and asked me what was wrong and went and got me the water. Be food was subpar. The bread was cold, the steaks were tough, and the potato was dry. My mother’s sweet potato fries were burnt for the same price the meal at a restaurant, such as Coltons steakhouse or Texas roadhouse is far superior.

Google
I loved it here, they were very kind to my group, it's very acceptable loud. Their food was amazing especially the Grilled Salmon. Service was great, very professional for what I saw. Very much recommended this place for a group meeting to eat.

Google
Everything was great, steaks have a perfectly seasoned flavor and cooked well. My wife's second beer came with a large foam head on it. I wanted to send it back but she would not let me. The bartender should know that it was not an acceptable pour but told the server to tell my wife that the foam would go down. So we did end up with a 12 Oz beer in a 16 Oz glass. My server was great, my bartender should return to bartendiing school since they do not know how to pour a proper beer or maybe thy just didn't care

Google
Great food, nice atmosphere. Planning on going back. Had the Ham Bacon and Avocado Burger. Was better than expected!

Google
Forgot food pics which is totally unlike me.. We had the Station Sampler to start, had fried mushrooms, corn nuggets, mozzarella sticks and wings. All were good. He had the road rage burger and I did a build your own. The meat was seasoned so well and so flavorful. Neat place to go, there was a stage for live music which could really hype up the atmosphere. If you haven't been don't sleep on this spot, especially if you're touristy!

Google
I love this place! Our work crew tried this restaurant for lunch one day and we have been back nearly every day since. So many menu options, food is fantastic and the prices are unbeatable. The staff is very friendly and attentive as well.

Google
The food was amazing, some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Our waiter was great and very kind. The atmosphere was also great. Highly recommend coming here.

Yelp
Club sandwich for the road with sweet potato fries. It was tasty and staff was friendly for my brief interaction with mobile order.

Yelp
A bit rustic with friendly staff. My Reuben and brisket sandwich was delicious and so huge I could only eat half. The chips seem like they're house made and crispy perfection. My husband's turkey sandwich was just as amazing as were his fries. Based on these two delicious sandwiches, I definitely recommend giving this place a visit!

Yelp
Mary and I stopped in for dinner; we were greeted by friendly staff and seated. Our drink orders came right out. Mary had a taco salad which was delicious. I had the catfish sandwich, delicious! The fries and side salad were standard.

Yelp
This was probably my favorite restaurant that we went to during our 1 week stay in Dodge City, Kansas. Pretty much every local we talked to suggested we stop by before leaving the city. The decor is very cute and very fitting. They even have a dining car as part of their seating area. This restaurant is huge in comparison to any other restaurant we ate at during our trip. Kansas beef is truly more tender than California's. Our servers were busy, but did great with us. Would definitely return if I was in the area.

Yelp
Central station was recommended to us by mini is the best restaurant in Dodge City (I hope not). Definitely a western atmosphere and a pretty cool bar look. Hostess and servers were friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable both of the bar and the food. For example makers mark on the rocks $6 and a bottle of Stella $4! We might've been the beneficiaries of happy hour pricing but even then, a really good deal. Our server, Chris, was great - very new and needs a little seasoning, but boy does he get an A for effort. It was attentive, and made sure we were in good shape all evening. He seemed a little nervous, and only needs to adjust his pace. But I think he's used to people that come in and want to eat quickly before the show. I definitely recommend the empanadas. They come with queso and salsa and are definitely shareable for two. Salads came next and they were fine but they seemed a little wilted to me. We tried the Alberts tacos with the addition of avocado slices. Not bad, but unfortunately avocado was not ripe. We also had the fillet mignon. It was cooked to order and had decent flavor. They were both OK but I probably wouldn't recommend either.

Yelp
This was a fun night out in Dodge City. Our adorable little waitress had a great attitude about seating us in the otherwise empty dining car, which could not have been convenient for her. The tortilla soup was full of hearty vegetables and good flavor. The BBQ ribs were fork tender with the fat nicely rendered. The cinnamon crumble dessert was basically coffee cake a la mode, but we enjoyed it. We didn't get any pictures of the Halloween decorations in the main room, but they were a hoot! The place just seems to have good spirit.

Yelp
I got the Alberts tacos, and they were absolutely amazing!! Also the service was great and they were super nice.

Yelp
Bartender not very attentive. The bar top is way too tall, feels awkward sitting there trying to eat. Good food though, I recommend the road rage burger.

Yelp
My wife and I stopped in to this place a few weeks ago while on vacation. We were told by several locals that this was the best place in town to get a steak. As we were walking in, a gentleman in a cowboy hat was walking out and asked us how we were doing. My wife said "Wow, this place seems friendly!" The place was fairly busy. We decided to sit at the bar. A couple got up and slid down to make room for us. It was a little uncomfortable due to the fact that the stools were shorter to the bar more than usual. Patrons to the left and right of us were extremely friendly! Bartender was not the friendliest though. Decent menu. Lots of options. We ordered some apps first. Wasn't impressed as it was just typical frozen button mushrooms, wings and mozzarella sticks. We then ordered the entrees and I ordered a ribeye steak and baked potatoe. My wife had the chicken tender meal with broccoli and fries. Her tenders were also basic frozen type. Broccoli was a little mushy but the fries were good. My steak was great! Amazing flavor and tender. We loved the ambience of the place! The whole time, the gentleman sitting next to me was the same person who was walking outside when we arrived. Come to find out he was the owner. Very kind, friendly and talkative! lol. We had a good time here! Food wasn't bad, steak was great! I think the bartender on shift needs to get a personality but we definitely would come back if we ever found ourselves back in Dodge City. Give it a try!

A Yelp User ..

Yelp
Had a great dinner with good service and good food. The server was efficient and had a great personality. They are pet friendly and they have a nice covered patio which was greatly appreciated due to having a couple brand new puppies with us. Central station bar and grill was recommended by a person who lives here and while dinning we did notice quit a few regulars.

Yelp
Cool place. Huge bar and lots of tables. Food was good, Catfish was nicely breaded. Ribs are cut between bones and I expected them to be tough, but they could be cut with a fork. It was a Monday night early so it was slow but people filtering in. My only complaint is they could have had some music piped in instead of listening to ESPN on the tv.
google avatar

Karla H.

Yelp
The overall experience was nice. The ambience and appearance of the restaurant was very casual. My husband ordered a porterhouse steak, which he was pleased with. I ordered the filet mignon, but it was not the typical, thick fillet mignon. It was a very thin filet mignon wrapped in bacon. I will say the steaks had a very good flavor. The dinner also came with a salad, baked potato, steamed vegetables and a dinner roll and all was very well.

Yelp
Service was decent , but the appetizer , fried pickles not so good . The breading does not have much flavor and the ranch could not hide that. The ribeye tacos really good but could use some more toppings. It was almost like a street taco. Highlight , my IPA was nice and cold .

Dave K.

Yelp
Was disappointed. Waited over half an hour before anyone brought a menu or took a drink order. Food was not that good after receiving it. Loved the decor.
google avatar

Heather D.

Yelp
This building is very cool! The menu was more like comfort food, which was fine for us. My husband had a tasty burger, and I had salmon with their station sauce.
google avatar

Yelp
Great service and steak! This is a great restaurant in Dodge City! Looks very original! I wish the rest of Dodge city looked this good!! Service was incredible!
google avatar

Belle S.

Yelp
Chris has been eyeing this restaurant each time he is in Dodge City but wouldn't go just by himself today is our chance to try it. The place is huge! We ordered Mountain Oysters, Empanadas, Albert's Tacos and Molten Chocolate Bundt Cake. Everything was delicious! Our server was very courteous and very attentive!

Greg B.

Yelp
We were in Dodge for a couple days and decided to get a bite, had a steak here a few years ago that I remember being good. Tonight I had a quesadilla supreme it was good, but not great my wife ordered a taco salad with beef, when it came out it was made with chicken, it came with a little sour cream and about a tablespoon of guacamole the lettuce was yellow and mushy. Disappointing!

Jane D.

Yelp
THE best Hot beef sandwich I have had in years! LOTS of meat and piping hot with plenty of gravy. Huge portions.

Yelp
Food is terrific and the service is great. Also great atmosphere highly recommended very clean.

Yelp
This is a neat place with good food. Love the decor and the real railroad ambience. Server was awesome and portions were more than enough. We recommend the patty melt and the catfish sandwich. Turns out one of our home state singers just performed here on Saturday! Would like to come back and spend more time. Glad we found this place!
google avatar

Lyndsay S.

Yelp
Food was excellent!!! Server recommended the same meal I was considering and it did not disappoint. We fell in love with their special steak sauce. They should bottle it and sell it. The owners were constantly walking around greeting customers and ensuring that they were having a good experience. If I'm ever back in Dodge City, this will be the first place we stop. Service was fantastic!
google avatar

Yelp
It's kinda like bar food but with a full menu. They seem to have three places in one location, a bar area with lots of TV's and music; the train car for the nostalgia buffs and a dinning area for families and old farts like us that like it a bit quieter. Service was excellent, beer cold, and my steak was cooked perfectly for me. Surprisingly god salad with homemade ranch dressing that is apparently its signature dressing. For Dodge city, I am guessing this is as good as it might get.

Natalie P.

Yelp
I absolutely love the wings. I feel like it's a place for young and old people. During the morning and evening order people can enjoy it being calm and mid afternoon the parents can let their kids go play and eat great food
google avatar

Andrea M.

Yelp
Good food. Came on a Wed nite, live comedy night. It was very busy. So, we ate in a nice railroad dining car. Good service. Good food. Had burgers, salads. Fresh good.

Jeremy D.

Yelp
Excellent service every time we go. The food is fantastic. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu but the steaks are great. I'd also suggest the street tacos.
google avatar

Nikki O.

Yelp
Steaks were delicious, sides were good and service was good as well. Prices were more than fair in my opinion. Would definitely return if I was in the area again!
google avatar

David A.

Yelp
One of the worst steaks I've ever eaten in the Midwest. Gristle made it inedible and not close to Medium Rare. The entire Dodge City experience is BS and this place is exemplary of the problem.
google avatar

Steve H.

Yelp
Excellent location in the heart of dodge city. I visited after my Boot Hill museum tour. Although the t-bone steak was excellent, I was not able to get their signature steak. Flew from NJ and was looking forwarded to trying it. How can they not have their signature porterhouse steak in the capitol of cattle country? Sold out tonight, and the reason for my 4 stars! Very disappointing. Btw, no steak sauce needed, steak I settled for was seasoned very well! Sides were all very good, as well as the blue cheese they use for the salad! The staff was great too!
google avatar

Rita G.

Yelp
Calamari was delicious. Had a chicken ceasar that was good. My brother loved his chicken fried chicken. My cousin said the garlic chicken was excellent as well. My glass of Cabernet Savignon was outstanding!!!! Yes, I love a good red wine. Server was young and hustled!!! We tipped her well for the service!!!

Walter A.

Yelp
The staff is very attentive and got my food quickly the beer that I had was served in a cold glass which made it very nice good atmosphere friendly people

Yelp
A good solid 4.5. Wow I wished I had dined there previously but after finding this little gem I wouldn't go anywhere else in this town for a great meal. They have a great selection of food choices and after eating at the other over priced and average tasting steakhouses in DC, ie Caowboy Capitol, I definitely will not waste my time or money anywhere else. Not inlybwas the food fantastic, it was served quick and had great flavors. I chose a nice pork chop plate that was generous and really reasonably priced. They offer great ribs, Mexican dishes and steaks. Something for everyone. Really nice inside with a flair of railroad cars converted into the ambience. The servers were very nice and friendly, offered suggestions and weren't annoying pests.

Yelp
Great old train station. Excellent coffee shop and atmosphere. If you are in Kansas City you should definitely go.

Yelp
My husband, 12 year old daughter and myself stopped and ate here before attending a concert. My daughter ordered chicken strips which she appeared to enjoy. It was a giant serving for a kid. I don't even think I could've eaten all of that. I don't recall what my husband ordered but I think he was satisfied with it. My meal however, was a bit disappointing. I ordered enchiladas and they were not great. Of course I was not expecting authentic Mexican cuisine, but I thought maybe I would get something a little better than I did. The atmosphere is really neat. We were seated in an old dining car. We will be in town again in a few days to attend another concert and I'm just not sure that I would suggest stopping here to eat dinner before the show.

Yelp
So we were so excited to come to this place because the decor was awesome and the building was super exciting! We sat down and ordered pretty fast but we sat there for like an hour before any entrees came out. Now normally that's whatever but the sizes of the appetizers for the table was crazy small for the price paid. We ran out of chips 15 minutes into the wait and waited 30 mins for a refill. I must say when the queso came out the entire table froze and we couldn't help but laugh. We all thought it was a side of ranch but no that was the queso we ordered. Y'all it was TINY! Haha the food was pretty average, nothing to write home about. I had the philly, the bread was good but the inside was ehhhh. That's just my one experience here!

Yelp
Great vibe and food for the family. We were passing through town and needed something comfortable. Plenty of TVs for entertainment to watch games.

Yelp
You must come here. Here is WHY: 1. Rated #1 Steaks for six years in a row. Look no further in Dodge City. 2. Incredible service. My dad and I are passing through the town, and came after the grill closed. The owner and his wife came out to meet us and whipped us up some steaks, rice, and beans immediately. Even though the grill was closed they opened it up again just for us! 3. Hospitality: Oscar the owner is amazing. The way he cares about your story and food service you receive. The waitress also stayed late for us and that was awesome! 4. The FOOD : the steak was the most amazing piece of perfection I've ever eaten. I feel like I've never eaten steak before! It was so buttery, so juicy, and so tender. 5. The PLACE ITSELF: if you want late night drinks, live country or DJ music, or pool tables and fun, come on down here! Southern hospitality can't be beat here.
google avatar

Yelp
Bar top is too tall for a normal person to eat. I am 6'4" and it was too tall for me. Beer was served cold in a frosted glass, but service was extremely slow. Ambience is loud and casual, but still able to have conversation at a table. Servers were very disorganized, customers were not attended to quickly. Food took to long, but the prime dip was excellent and the sweet potato fries were delicious.
google avatar

Brian P.

Yelp
Overpriced, slow, and our server was horrible. Food was average at best. They're supposedly known for their steaks but the two that ordered in our party were very underwhelmed. Salads lack much more than lettuce and watery dressing. Loaded baked potato comes with butter packets and a tube of sour cream - something more fitting for a picnic than an evening at a steakhouse. Burgers were over cooked and low quality. Server (Cheyenne) never once cleared the plates we had when bringing our food. Appetizer and salad plates were shuffled around to make room for entrees rather than cleared when we were clearly done with them. They stuck around all the way til dessert which like the rest of the meal was mediocre at best. The prices were the only thing above average - way over priced for what they're serving. We won't be back.
google avatar

Alise R.

Yelp
Our server, Haley, was very friendly and helpful and they allowed us to bring our dog into the outside seating area, which is much-appreciated when you are traveling with a pet. Those were the bright spots. The rest, however, was just okay. I had cocoanut shrimp with baked potato and broccoli; my husband had pork chops with green beans and mashed potatoes. He said his chops were very good, but my food was B- bar food, at best. Neither of our meals were hot when we got them, only warm-ish, and our order took almost 40 minutes to come out of the kitchen. The building is pretty cool though, so I'd give them another chance and sit inside and order something different.

Tonya S.

Yelp
Found this place on Yelp. It was hoppin for a Thursday! I ordered the ribeye dinner-steak was cooked perfectly and the rest of the food was great! Sat at the bar-DO NOT SIT HERE IF YOU ARE SHORT! Hahaha I'm 5'6 and could barley reach because the stools were so low (literally only thing I would have changed). Staff/bartenders were amazing and entertaining-PLEASE TIP
google avatar

Tim-Jenny S.

Yelp
Would not recommend. Manager very argumentative and rude. Food was cold and steak not cooked correctly. $30 plus steak should be cooked properly and be delicious. Very disappointing and will not return.

Megan M.

Yelp
We arrived at 9pm on Friday night. Lots of people coming and going. We walked in and the hostess asked us if we were wanting to eat, we said yes, and she said they were closed. I said, "But your hours say your open until 10." Her response, "we're just too busy so we're shutting down food service." Fine. See ya. I guess call ahead and make sure they'll actually serve food during business hours before going.

Bo N.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was great, and the dining car was very nice. Rib Eye Steak and sirloin were both very tasty.
google avatar

Marcia G.

Yelp
Traveling through town. Read that with 2 meat packing plants in town, excellent steaks are here in Dodge City. We were hoping for a steak house atmosphere, but it was more like a sports bar. Thank goodness the food was excellent, even though our Ribeye was 3/4 inch thick instead of the 1-1/2 we prefer. The chef was even able to Pittsburg w/o overcooking! Service was excellent and food presented in a very timely manner. Enjoyed our meal very much and would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Victoria H.

Yelp
Cute restaurant plenty of decor to amuse you if your a railroad buff. The waitress we had was awesome and knew the beer selection. My husband and my food was really good. Great place to stop while your in Dodge City.
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, quick service. Chicken fried steak was good, would have been better if it was hand breaded. Fresh mashed potatoes, cream gravy was tasty.

Carter S.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent. It's the best restaurant in dodge city, bar none. Vibes are great food is great and service is even better.
google avatar

Shirley L.

Yelp
Great place to eat. Good waitstaff and good food. Good variety of food to choose from.
