I think this place is like an event place. When SGNF I pass by there and go in to see. The volunteers were kind and friendly to bring you to know this place. When SGNF was here, this place was silent, and I listened to the sound of the display. They also have the place to DIY, and this DIY strategy from the event is that every stranger does it together to make these handicrafts. (Feel like a social experiment) I most enjoy parts in the second-floor dark room with sounds from humans and nature. Complementary entry

A nice and cosy place. The studios are not well soundproofed. Has a puppet workshop at the studio below but we could hear the choir singing above us.

Fabulous little spot I found totally at random exploring the streets & parks near my hotel ... lovely staff, friendly vibe and provider of all sorts of interesting performances. Saw a great show called "No Place" knowing nothing about it all and leave Singapore with a wonderful memory. I didn't have quite enough local $'s left for the last ticket going and they let me part-pay in Aussie $'s ... how great is that ? I didn't even know SG had a fringe theatre scene, long may it reign ! Thank you Centre 42 for such a great experience.

Quaint architecture with an equally quaint interior. Was there to attend a local play held at second floor Black Box. Luckily air-conditioning was good. Narrow and steep ladder not good for oldies like me.

Singapore's take on the hipster scene. Speakers, story tellers, poets and authors read their work in this quaint outdoor scene. The crowd is what makes the place. And the food truck "coffee bandit" tops it all off with caffeinated goodness.

Centre 42 is a genuine treasure. They research, they organize activities, they interview artists - they seem to do all the little things that Singapore Theatre needs. Feel free to enter their compound and take a unique picture with their iconic blue building, and go watch the plays they help create!
