I recently had the pleasure of visiting Centre Bakery in Ginza, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the delightful ambience. The warm, welcoming decor and the inviting scent of freshly baked goods create a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a leisurely breakfast or catching up with friends. The attention to detail in the interior design truly enhances the overall experience. Now, let's talk about the star of the show: the toasts! Each slice is perfectly toasted to golden perfection, boasting a crispy exterior while remaining soft and fluffy inside. The variety of toppings is impressive, whether you prefer sweet options like freshly made fruit preserves or savory choices like rich avocado and creamy cheese. Every bite bursts with flavor, making it a must-try for toast lovers! If you're in Ginza and looking for a lovely spot to relax and indulge in some delicious treats, Centre Bakery is the place to be. Try Sandwich 🥪 & French toast. Sandwich is decent but French toast is really nice, custard like and fragrant with vanilla. I was thinking of bread pudding in a drier version. It is quite heavy dish though, so I recommend to share the plate. I visited in the weekday and there was long queue in the morning but when we revisited around 11am there are no more queue.

This bakery is a joke - there are several empty tables but the staff deliberately do not let people in with the intention of creating a line to create the illusion they are busy. Truly unethical and off putting behaviour. I’m appalled at how this is allowed in Tokyo. Check my photos to see the evidence. Best bread. Three different flour type mixtures. Cute atmosphere and toasters. Recommend the fruit sando (best quality fruit sandwich) and the raclette cheese toast (north American flour bread).

Save yourself the trouble and extra cost, and if you want nice fluffy Japanese bread and decent coffee with great katsu sandwich options, go to Komeda’s Coffee instead of this place. (We went the week before and I wish we’d gone back there instead of here.) The food here was decent and I loved the cinnamon sugar toast. The coffee was disappointing. The prices were pretty high. But the major issue is absurd seating. The service was ok once we were seated, but this restaurant was in peak hours with a massive queue stretching outside - and the restaurant was nearly half empty. Tables were set and ready, but they refused to seat anyone in them. I’ve never seen anything like it anywhere in the world. We sat in the queue staring at empty tables for more than 30 minutes. Some might suggest this is a staffing issue, but there were so many staff members there this is purely organisational failure in my opinion.

What a lovely breakfast spot! You can choose from different types of toast and even get your own toaster at the table to make it just the way you like. The bread was super fresh I had the Japanese bread, which didn’t need toasting, and it was amazing. We also tried the cheese toast, which was delicious. The different butters and jams were so good too. We loved it !

Tried this place out on a weekend at noon and had no wait. There is some charm in picking out the toaster for the table. The toast set was good with the different butters and jams they provide. We ordered their seasonal fruit sando which happened to be shine muscat grapes which was quite tasty. The price is a bit high for what you get but it's definitely an experience worth trying once.

I’ve been here a few times since 2020 and it never misses! It went viral on tiktok one or two years ago? So sometimes there’s a queue 🥹 the toaster idea is so fun! And my family and I always takes a loaf of bread home on the last day of our trip! The cheese toast and French toast is always sold out when we come 🥹 so you should go earlier!! My personal favourite is the fruit sandwich!! The shrimp inside the shrimp sandwich is always fresh and bouncy! The milk there is great too!

OMG this place was just all around amazing from the delicious food, to the decor, and the staff. I got the morning set, which came with two pieces of bread, a soft boiled egg and three kinds of jam (blueberry, orange marmalade, and raspberry). The raspberry jam was so delicious I ate it straight out of the dish! The apple juice was fresh and sweet, I drank it so fast. The decor is super cute, very modern and lots of cute designs are incorporated. The staff are super sweet and friendly, they spoke great English as well as Japanese (of course). The food came out really fast and was very filling! This restaurant was in a great spot of town, very close to a few department stores and cool sights. When in Tokyo, this place is an absolute MUST!!!!

This review is for the cafe, not the bakery (where people were queueing to get what seemed to be really great shokupan) - the breakfast we had here was great, especially the french toast and the accompanying cream. Super simple but was very filling but paired excellently with a nice warm cup of coffee on a cold winter morning in Tokyo.

The food was good but staff was not! They ran out of the cheese toast and waiter did not let us order 3 items. I understand it may have been a lot of food, but we could have taken it away.

Wanna try a premium loaf of bread? This is the place. Operated by famous bakery Viron, this is a fairly new concept that is launch by a company that normally focuses on French type breads. What is "Shoku Pan"? Shoku = "White" Pan = "Bread" Japanese Shoku Pan is a very Japanese food item. While a loaf of white bread is available all over the world, Japanese style Shoku Pan is a bit different. In fact, lots of expats dislikes Japanese Shoku Pan and seeks out American or European style loaf of bread at international food market. Japanese people, who are used to Shoku Pan's texture and feel, hates non-Japanese white bread, and seeks out Japanese bakeries when living abroad. The key difference is the texture. Japanese people love the "mochi-mochi" feel, which is the elastic feel of the bread. It almost feels a bit like white rice. They like the chewy kind, while most of the non-Japanese white bread feels lot dryer. It also tastes sweeter. Two Lines at Centre The Bakery: 1. First line is to buy a loaf of white bread as carryout. 2. Second line is for their cafe usage. You cannot buy a loaf of bread as a cafe customer. At their cafe, you could order a toast of two type of breads with butter for 1000 Yen or 3 slices for 1100 Yen. You toast it yourself using their toaster.

Atmosphere: 5 This cafe is really cute inside. I love the decor, with the long tables and cute lights. My friends and I waited outside for about 20 minutes before we went in. When we finished eating, we stayed to chat for about another hour before leaving. We were not made to feel like we were rushed, and the waitress kept coming around to refill out water too. Portions: 5 The portions are just enough. I actually wasn't very hungry but my boyfriend and I still ordered a plate each to try different flavors. Our friends ordered 1 plate to share between the two of them and it was still okay. Flavors: 4 I ordered the special that day which was a orange-custard sandwich. As a fruit lover, I appreciate the plentiful fruits that were in the sandwich however, I wished that there was a little less cream. While delicious, after the first piece, I didn't really want anymore. There are lines to eat in and to buy bread from the bakery. I would recommend trying out the fruit sandwiches since they're a bit different than what you usually find.

The cutest cafe/bakery. We stopped in for a snack. My friends and I shared the toast sampler and some cheese toast. We were instructed to pick out a toaster to toast our own bread table side. Our waitress brought out a set of jams and spread for our toast. Tons of options. Even for the pickiest eater. There are 2 lines when you walk up to the bakery. One is for take out and the other is to dine in. The signs are in Japanese but there are workers to direct you to the correct line. Also, they will not let you order take out if you are dining in.

Found this gem on yelp and there was a line for both huge load of bread (what they are popular for it seems) or fine in. My husband likes Japanese sandwiches so we ordered one egg sandwich and one tuna sandwich. Their breads are huge so they cut the sides for you. Egg salad sandwich was ok, very standard. But tuna sandwich was good, they have huge pieces of tuna, gotta try the fish when you are in japan!!! Should try their original huge toast, they put a toaster on ur table so you can toast it yourself and eat it with all sorts of jams

They are famous for their sandwiches and the set of three different kinds of toast!(if you think that's too much of course you can order the set for two toasts, you're able to choose two among three)You are able to taste the differences between each!! And the most fun thing is you get to pick your own toaster for your toasts :D They prepare jams and chocolate sauce for you too!! If you are a toast lover don't miss it!!

Weekday Cafe Dropped by 16pm. Bakery shop is always crowded. Cafe space was spacious. I ordered 2 bread and kinds of jam with milk. Japanese bread and Canadian bread. Japanese bread was so soft. Breads are tasty and pricey.

An extraordinary bakery for the bread called "Shokupan" for to-go, which is basically a plain bread you often use for sandwiches or having it toasted. You usually don't eat it as is, right? Well, you'll absolutely be shocked how flavorful/soft/moist their loaf of Shokupan can be and you must try it out. There are 3 types available: Japanese style, North America style, and England style. They are all different and which is best depends on your personal preference, but that being said, I'd say you should try the Japanese one for an experience. They bake it all day long and there's almost always a waiting line for it, so expect to wait in the line for half an hour or so to buy either of the above. But I guarantee you it's worth the wait. Meanwhile, you can also go in there and have a seat to order from the cafe menu. There are a lot of bread dishes and some of the sandwiches are quite impressive.

Just amazing! Who'd thought that toast with upscale jams, peanut and hazelnut butter could be so exceptional? Really wonderful modern dining space. We we're assisted by helpful servers who were able to speak English. We chose the 10 AM seating with fewer menu options - just the toast flights. After 11 AM you can get French toast and other breakfast options. Selecting one's own toaster was novel and fun. Although pricey, it is a wonderful splurge.

Man, is the hype real or what? Softest bread ever eaten and I love bread. And that is probably why I cannot get myself to go on a diet. Who does not love carbs? Somewhat pricey but so worth. On a side note, line is long for bread pickup... that is how good it is.

Believe the hype, beyond worth any trek and/or line. We didn't struggle with lines when we ate in the restaurant; the hour long line is for purchasing a loaf of bread then leaving. If you want to toast your bread at your table (you do), there are three different sets to choose from. Get the one with the most jams/spreads (Set 3). If you have a sweet tooth, try the sugar butter bread. Unbelievable. Went multiple times, would prioritize next time for sure.

There was a huge line so we decided to check it out. Once we saw it, we decided to go on our way and do some shopping. Once we were done we decided to stop by again since the line died down. We ordered the Japanese style bread. Not know what we were getting we just bought it and left and ripped off a piece and ate it. Bread was 670¥. At first it just tasted like bread but then once I started to chew it, it was really fluffy and tasty. We then looked inside the store and saw how people were eating it and they would add jam or condense milk or something to bring more flavor. Wished we did that but all we did was use it as a snack as we continued our hike throughout Tokyo (13+ miles by the end of the day). Next time we would sit in and eat there.

Very girlie place for ladies, mother/ daughters. Huge lines before the store opened and shorter line for dining in. I ordered 3 slices of bread with jam and butter. It was too much bread and too sweet. I could not finish. Great concept bakery.

Long line for pick up. We didn't know what the bread was about. We picked option 1. Worth a try. If you want to dine in there is a separate line for that.
