Great free place to visit, two floors of photos depending on what’s on. I saw Parr por Parr , photos by Martin Parr , drawn to the Yorkshire ones but great human interest photographs from USA and Spain as well. Funny, real and powerful at the same time . They are running a sister exhibition in Malaga!

Lee Miller (f) photographic (B+W) exhibition May 2024. The upstairs space is a wonderful experience and most enjoyable to see the life's work of a brilliant surrealist photographer. A meeting with Picasso, one of the highlights and obviously influenced her work. FREE ENTRY

My local museum or gallery, Im just over the road.. and this gallery has some very good interesting exhibitions by well known artists here and is well laid out. At night photos of the current exhibition are projected onto the walls outside which is a nice touch. Note.. as of Jan 2025.. currently broken. Get it mended please!

Wow - what an exhibition! We visited when a major show was on from the Chair of Magnum photographic group. What a delight to experience the slice of style - arranged in various themes. Warm welcome from the receptionist and sale of catalogue from the museum worker - would love to go back.

I wanted to visit this museum. The first time I went there it was closed, because it is always closed on mondays. So I went back another day. But when I want to enter, I was told it was closed whole week because of a exposition change. Why doesn't this museum inform his public about this? At the website and on the info near the door it is said that the museum is open. Why does this museum close totally when an exhibition is changed? I am very disappointed about this arrogant behavior. This is not the way to threat your visitors.

I caught a nice exhibition by some fabulous women photographers. I particularly liked the work of Maryam Firuzi (beautiful, thoughtful compositions that clearly took a lot of work) and Ana Elisa Sotelo's wonderful swimming shots (I shoot sports so really admire the skill and serendipity in the shots). Definitely pay the gallery a visit if you have any affinity for photography, art, or even if you just want to spend an hour looking at some nice photos. 🙂

Lovely centre, not massive. Would recommend a visit as free. Exhibitions change. Currently exhibition about Martin Parr.
