Wonderful collection of cultural, art, and city historical museums, a library, cafe, performance stage, and courtyard. Rarely have I seen such a nice collection of museums, all free to visit. The city history museum is excellent and should not be missed. Everyone there was very welcoming. As a foreign speaking visitor, I found myself wishing there was a directory at the entrance listing of all the museums available, but we are curious and not shy people so we just popped in every open door and everything was fine. So if you are visiting, you must explore and engage. For example, we nearly missed the city museum as it is sort of back inside the complex beyond a cafe behind a closed door.

I love this space in Asuncion but unfortunately the last time I went to visit the gallery spaces were empty. With already so little spaces for art in the city, it’s a shame that a place like Manzana de la Rivera doesn’t organize enough for their galleries to be used and lived in by artists. I came from very far away and was looking forward to discover new great Paraguayan artists and found empty spaces. Really sad.

Super centric cultural center absolutely worth visiting, and not only because the entrance is completely free. It includes a museum, a permanent collection and spaces for exhibitions, as well as the lovely Casa Clari bar restaurant with the absolute best view on the Presidential Palace of Paraguay. Without going into the museum, the cultural center can be easily explored in about half an hour to an hour and the main courtyard is a great example of old architecture with patios and some greenery. The only downside is that, regarding the exhibitions spaces, there is little to no information about the works of art you are seeing. Still highly recommended for a visit and, obviously, with an unbeatable quality to price ratio (as it is free).

Best to visit this place with a guide. So much history within these walls as the cultural center serves as a small museum. Especially not speaking the local language well, a guide was the perfect way to go.

A must go for tourists. There’s a great view of the Palace, food and beverage and an excellent museum. Fine data collection from the post colonial period to middle 20th century.

Very nice cultural center and beautiful restaurant inside with nice views. Casa Clari is a little overpriced but nice to visit once in a while.

A lovely cultural center with small museums attached, performances spaces, and a bar with wonderful views of the presidential palace across the street.
