It is a place dedicated to studying and promoting the Asturian Pre-Romanesque style, which flourished between the 8th and 10th centuries. It offers exhibitions and materials that help visitors understand important buildings such as Santa María del Naranco, San Miguel de Lillo, and San Julián de los Prados.

Useful information about pre romanesque churches in Asturias. There is a bathroom and a small souvenir shop as well.

The interpretive center adjoining both Romanesque churches offers a concise discussion of these and other Romanesque churches in the area. We were content with exterior viewing of the lovely churches given the nervous energy of the tourists lined up to enter the dark churches and the Spanish-only tour guide

Small museum with boards with information about the asturian pre-romanesque in different languages. Some models of the buildings and temporal exhibitions. Definitely worth spending 30 minutes here before walking uphill to visit the monuments.

En el centro de recepción nos informaron muy bien sobre las rutas guiadas. Fuimos a tres. Tanto Los recorridos como los guías fueron fantásticos. Gracias a César, María y José por hacer el trabajo con tanta dedicación y por atender a las necesidades del grupo. Muy recomendable
