Centro Internacional de Windsurfing

Very affordable place, the room was spacious and clean with a nice ocean view. Beds were a bit hard but OK. Some profiteers/clients stole some of our food in the shared kitchen so I could prepare my kids for their upcoming college life ;-) Faded glory is the right word for the atmosphere around the pool and patio.

Great value accommodation, there are shared rooms and private rooms, the latter are quite nice. The place is kept clean. Popular with backpackers and windsurfers. Kitchen is rather small and gets easily overcrowded. Good place for meeting people. This is a world famous windsurfing spot.

My favourite place to stay in Gran Canaria, my third time already! As it is far from the touristic centers (Las Palmas, Maspalomas), it attracts special people, I have always met great travellers. Although Pozo has the essentials (some nice Bars and fruteria / mini market - in Vecindario even more), I advise to have a car, to explore the island (or you like wind surf, then you can spend all your time there). I like both options: in the single rooms in the separate house (with own kitchen / living room) or in the dorm (exiting the door of the dorm room directly to outside in front of the pool - pure summer feeling), then you get to know others easier. I will be back next year!

A very simple hostel directly at the beach. Bright, spacious rooms with not too fancy, but tasty furniture. Kitchen, showers and other public rooms were clean and new. Unbeatable price.

Next to the sea but there are many stones so it's Dangerous without neopren to go in. Really nice and helpful staff. Big bathroom which could be more clean but it was okey. Pool which is clean and a nice terace to lay in the sun. A big kitchen with three fridges and providet crockery. You can met really nice people there from all over the world and all of them were so nice. The only bad things about it was that there were no herbs amd no salt or oil to cook in the kitchen so we had to buy a big package of salt for only four days. Another thing is that we didn't know that we have to pay for the bedsheeds. It was only 2€ per person but that was'nt mentioned on the website. Really nice place for meeting new people and enjoy a cheap holiday.

Really nice hostel. The staff is welcoming and the guests we met as well. The beach is just in front. It's an ideal place for windsurfing, so do expect a lot of wind. :)

Invite criminals to stay in your shared room that ask for money...Very rude local dont wanna talk english ...Only spanish when they talk English - racism basically..Shared room there not safe ..Single room safe ...Avoid the place if i was you ..Boring for windsurfers only ...

Great windsurfing at Pozo Izquierdo (village) bay next to CIW (Hostel). As previously, the hygiene is good, the prices affordable and for Windsurfers, Kite Surfers, and surfers, Surf All Day and lay down your head for good night’s rest at location CIW). There are at least three shoppes for windsurfing rentals within 150 meters. Grab the gear and walk to the bay. The city of Vecindario is 3 kilometers away with Centro Commercial Atlantico, shopping mall with a large supermarket to dine in at the CIW kitchen. There is a pool to enjoy at CIW as well. Free Parking!
